Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
I remembered to take the trash out last night. Girls Night Out ended up being at Chuck E Cheese. I got DD back to XDH in time for 15 minutes at the library. Now I won't have to eat dinner alone, I will have a book for company! I am waiting on my boss to get some stuff done, don't know what I should be doing, really would like to be sleeping. Today I need to do some exercise, my knee feels it. Had a nice rain yesterday, we always need it in the desert. I wish I knew what I should be doing other than yawning. I have figured out why I am so tired in the mornings, I just don't want to face the day. I guess the anti-depressants are not working as well as I thought they would.

(((MT)))
Sitting here drinking tea & appreciating the cooler weather. No more AC noise, comfortable walks in the mornings, & pumpkins. I love pumpkins
.
Today is a catch up & preparation day. Missed two birthdays already this month. Used to keep a perpetual calendar in the kitchen near the monthly one, but there was no room for it after remodel. Need to write & mail those cards, gather CD paperwork for bank trip, finish bagging/boxing last of donations for Goodwill tomorrow. All that is left is "soft" stuff -- blankets, tablecloths, table runners, placemats, etc. Oh, & lots of tupperware. Dh said he will help me load everything this afternoon. Also want to finish putting up fall decorations.
I'm in Zone 2 which for me is the kitchen. This room has always had a week to itself, but there is less to do in here now so am thinking about which room I want to add to this week. Not sure yet.
Mini jobs for today: Clean dog bowls & placemat, clean cat bowls & placemat, put WD-40 on sticky drawer runner.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
Been doing desk work most of the day -mainly dealing with campground and things have to do for RV before leaving in a few weeks. AND dealing with MED CO again.
We've used a LOT more electric this year, but then we have used less than 1/2 the propane of last year -so it will pretty well even out. Okay with me. Plus we used the AC a lot this summer.
Been working on our 'end of year' calendar. Seems there's always so much to be squeezed into those few weeks.
MT, probably NOW that things are in the mail you'll come across that title.
At least that's my usual plight.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
What would totally make this a Wow! day for me would be the arrival of DGD. However...just like her mother..she's a bit of a procrastinator
The last I heard - about 10pm last night - was 'nothing new'.
I'm not sure what was with me this morning, but I absolutely could NOT keep my eyes open. Even several cups of coffee didn't make a difference...I just kept dozing off as I sat here
Whatever it was seems to have passed now, so I've sent a text to DD asking if she still wants to clean this afternoon. She just replied saying they were napping, too!
I'm going to swing by Michael's to pick up some yarn, and then head over there for the afternoon. The critters were fed this morning, so the litter boxes can just wait till I get home later.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
MT - I can soooo relate to your truck title missing. When we sold our pickup a couple months ago, the same thing happened to me. All titles in their place EXCEPT that one.
Frustrating moment for sure! We ended up getting a replacement title like you are doing.
Well.....this morning plans keep getting altered. LO was in full force acting out mode.
So.....we skipped library. And we skipped playing at playground. AND we skipped going to the small zoo like normal. He was just all out of sorts and on the verge of out-of-control of his emotions. I stayed calm through each of his sessions. I don't know if this is just a normal phase he is going through or his attitude was from the stress he must have felt the last few days. Once we got home, he settle down into his happy self and played non-stop. His emotions seem fragile right now and any extra stimulation is hard for him to process.
DH came home for lunch and said we are going to have some company after lunch today. I was surprised when he said the concrete guy is going to come look at some projects i casually mentioned last week that I would like to have done around the house.....someday. Maybe. it was more like dreaming than anything that I thought would be a project any time soon. However, I know to not put this golden opportunity off since it takes forever to get on the schedule of the concrete guy. He stays fully booked. We have been waiting for months on the concrete guy to do some repair work at MPB. He is going to start that project Monday! YEAH!!

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
Lunch went well. The soup was good but a bit bland. I should have added garlic to the stock when I was making it last night. I had everyone make their own sandwiches so that was easy. It is all cleaned up and I got the afternoon break foods out before they broke so it was ready for them when they came into the kitchen. Two more hour lectures, one more break and then they'll be out of my hair and I'll have my house back to myself for the foreseeable future. Yay!
Wow! I've cooked a lot in the last 5 days. It seems like I'm always doing something in the kitchen. My weight is up too. I didn't put out the chips for the afternoon snack but told dh where they were and he put them out (he wanted them to go with the dip rather than crackers or veggies.) I hope he puts them away before I see them.
I have some typing to do for my meeting tonight. And then maybe a nap.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
Typing is done. Our power company just called to say they will be cutting the power to our area in 45 minutes for about 15 minutes so I warned dh so he could move the projector to the uninterruptible power supply but he thinks they'll be finished for the day by then.
My computer should be charged enough by then to keep running and I'm madly printing off my notes for the meeting tonight, just in case the interruption lasts longer than expected. The generator will run so I don't have to worry about prepping dinner.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
All rightie then. Duplicate Title sent for - I included a Priority SASE so it should be back by next week. Plenty of time as new owner won't be here until first part of November.
Clean up in the 5er is going much better. I got the bed washed and remade yesterday and I'm mopping up dust today. It looks like it was in a hurricane - only no water. Some of the broken window came in as tiny sand size pieces. Lots of sand and even some leaves from tree across the street.
The wind storms here must have been really strong this summer. We have two or three places where it blew all the rocks off the dirt in our lot. Neighbor's shed looks like it has been sand blasted. Paint has been worn off the whole east side.
I am going to rest for a while as I'm having something going on with my neck. It is very sore to turn and goes clear down to my shoulder blade. If I turn too quick or bend over I get dizzy. I think it might be from the window by the head of our bed being open and the cool wind coming in a couple nights ago.
Hugs to all of you. I've read your posts but my brain is like a sieve right now. I can only retain a few things and they have to be what I'm going to do next.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
I'm having the same numbness in my thigh that I did last evening, but I quickly got into bedclothes sans shoes and did T-Tapp primary back stretch and I think I'm better than last night. HRH is telling me he's had a bout with numbness at sides of hips before that sounds to him like what I'm describing at side of thigh, and that he mentioned it to dr on some visit and dr wasn't too impressed. I certainly hope it's no big deal. I'm thinking I have pinched something!
No matter what, good healthy habits are the ticket. I've eaten very well today and am pleased about that. Lots of freshness!
I fielded a long phone call from a cousin.
dd watched a SuperNanny tonight - inexplicably a favorite show for her. Next up for us, Algebra II teacher wants a commitment letter from each student about what they intend to get out of the class - hum. I have not seen the example teacher showed, but am interested that dd wants to do it in colorful markers. Who knows. Doesn't sound very mathematical to me.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
Three hour board meeting tonight. Sigh... Add on an hour round-trip drive and it was a long evening. And my TOM arrived.
On the bright side - that explains the 4 lbs I gained in 2 days. And I thought it was due to all the potato chips I ate yesterday!
Off to bed now. Dh has an early morning (going off with a friend who is making a documentary on a dowser.) I might have to take the car in to be put up on a hoist. It is making funny noises and they are getting louder. There are important bits that hold the car together that make funny noises and I hit a pot hole hard the other day so I want it checked out before I go on the highway for 6 hours at high speeds.
