Good morning!

Well -- it IS morning for another 15 minutes, at least.
I just realized I never posted yesterday. We came home early from school, b/c of fears of severe weather. That never materialized, so it was just a great day to lie around and nap!

Then last night, we went to see the movie
Courageous. Oh my goodness! If you have not seen that, run, don't walk, to your nearest theater. And be SURE to take all the fathers in your lives. It was WONDERFUL. I may have had an extra-strong reaction to it b/c I was watching with ds, a father-to-be, but it should be required viewing for all young fathers. It had some really sad moments, but it also had some real LOL moments, too.
Dmom's family doctor said he really thought the pain she is having is coming from the other disc, the one surgeon did NOT touch. Hmmm... He told her to try seriously resting it, no more exercise except what she could do lying in bed, and if there was no improvement by next week, he would x-ray then and see what was going on. She's really feeling pretty miserable right now, though, and I think she feels bad about not contributing to dinner @ ddad's family, but of course they all understand what she is going through.
I do not contribute much at all to any of the dinners we get at holidays, either... but I do not complain about leftovers (or anything else I am served)! I am taking soft drinks to dsisil's tomorrow. If we eat w/my family, I bake cookies, and usually take soft drinks & rolls, also. I didn't bake cookies for dsisil b/c ds doesn't like them w/out pecans, and dnephew can't have pecans. I sorta feel bad about not doing more for dsisil, but OTOH, her mom & her sister pitch in, too, and they ALL bring enough to feed two armies. I soothed my guilt by contributing to needy family fund @ school.
I'm also hoping ddil isn't too sad & homesick. They are having dinner w/our family tomorrow. First time she's been away from her family for T'giving.
It's kind of PMS, but I am sooo afraid having a baby is going to make her miss her family more, you know, and I DON'T want her to be sad... and I DON'T want them to move away from here... and ds tells me that is NOT happening... so yeah, it's just PMS talking. I mean, ds has never promised that they would not move to a more half-way destination between the two families, but there is no way under the sun they could afford that right now -- or in the foreseeable future -- so I need to get myself busy and quit thinking so much.
But I don't want her to be sad. I even felt bad about going to the movies w/ds, while she was working, but we VERY often invite her to come along with us when ds is working... so again... ds told me this was NOT an issue for anyone but ME.
Today, I need to take SUV and get brake light replaced. One side has gone out.
Otherwise... I don't have much on my agenda. Maybe go help dmom a little, if there is anything I can do for her.
