I posted my year in review on facebook...

Happy 2012 New Year.

2011 was an interesting year - packing to move contents of 3 bedroom, 2 bath, living room, dining room, den, basement, 2 1/2 garage and kitchen into a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, living, dining room and kitchen. Then putting fresh paint on the walls. On the market for one month and it sold. Then moving and unpacking in my new home.

Finally spending 2 weeks in intensive care.

We went to Bowl game in Atlanta yesterday, home around 1:30-2:00 a.m. -- sooo -- started the New Year by sleeping VERY late.

Dh wants to eat quickly so he can watch the Titans. BBL!

Dh is feeling a little better today but not anywhere near where he needs to be in the moving production. I told him to take it easy another day. He started Dayquil today and that is helping. Trouble is he has taken the last 2 doses, so I will go get more. After that I have to get over to the other house and pack.

!!HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Everyone.

We spent a quiet evening just the two of us....dh watched tv and napped while I read. About 9 pm we started a game of dominoes and played until midnight. Ds#2 called us just then to wish us happy new year. They were just getting home from their dfriend's house. We went to bed shortly after that.

Pork roast, carrots and onion are in the crock pot. Pound cake for dessert is baked and kitchen cleaned up. Dfam#2 will be here later.

We don't know just what the new year will bring, but my hope and wish is for a year of peace, health, happiness and prosperity for one and all!

We had a great service this morning including a very cold baptism service for a couple of men who didn't want to wait for it to warm up.

I have been struggling with what feels like depression. I told DH that I just realized it wasn't depression, but grieving. Not fun to go through, but a normal reaction to losing a loved one. It does help me to cope with the energy-sucking -sad-emotions once I realize why/where they were coming from.

SHE cards year in review -
I started using/tracking digital SHE cards on 6/19/2011. 196 days later i am still using them. During those 196 days i .....
** completed 11,127 cards
** averaged 57 completions daily
** minimum cards completed in one day = 15
** Maximum cards completed in one day = 125

Un-decorate card is also up. I've been rounding up Christmas decorations, cards, knick nacks, Christmas quilt & red & green calico bears they are down stairs now ready to go in to their storage containers.

I noticed that the thrift shop had on their reader board they needed donations of nick nacks, a good a place as any to begin!

I'm back from my walk.
Kit. spiff is done.
Bed is made.
I cleaned up a spill that I"d missed yesterday.

Guests have gone home (except dnephew.)

Ds is at work.

Dd, dh and I went for a brisk walk through the village. Is on the treadmill now. I did my floor exercises after the walk but am still stiff.

Dh is signing up for Netflix right now since we won't have dd's account once she leaves. We'll see how it works instead of the video store. I hate to take the business away from the video store since he's local but Netflix means no driving or return dates. On the other hand, it also means no extras on the dvds which we like.

The house is pretty tidy. I have to wash the dining room table cloth but I'll wait a few days. I treated the stains with the tide-pen and they came out.

We are ordering pizza for dinner. I think it will be a race to bed tonight, as well. Ds is coming back here since he's off tomorrow and will spend the last bit of time with his sister.

HRH needed his antihistamine eye drops - coundn't deny that was important - and dd got a fatal rip in a good pair of jeans, calling into question whether her closet was really prepared for back to school. So we snagged those today, trying not to waste time. She found one pair she liked, so I just grabbed the same-brand different-shade one for her, too, even though it wasn't her favorite, because I don't want to keep doing this one-at-a-time emergency-trip stuff.

So, I'm very happy to have been to church, taking notes, really enjoying the service and church friends on this first day of the year, but NOT so happy to find myself on an errand run. Things will get better, go smoother.

OKay, leave it to you to quantify the year in cards! Very successful.

Sunny, how Is Mr. Sunny feeling? Dos he look handsome?

I have a clear-view 3-ring binder in purple that looks different enough from any other record-keeping around my desk that I'm considering using it for 2012 project/goal records, such as H & F stuff, declutter Round Robins - things that don't exactly go in the permanent Household Notebook but would benefit from being condensed. Interested to see how that works out.

Otherwise, I have plans to report in Cardfile Central, too.
