I have the family room ready for the furniture and rug. It is from the only high end furniture store for many miles around and they don't charge a delivery fee. Problem being, she couldn't give me even a ballpark estimate on delivery. So I have it ready and waiting.

This afternoon I will run errands. Guess I better work on that list while I am waiting for a LOL to dry, so I can get it folded.

Had to laugh out loud at KIC's Meaningless!! I guess you can call that a serendipity moment.

I'm feeling lousy this morning because my cough has me sounding like a basset hound. Bark bark. But I have my stove polished and the dishes about 1/2 done. We didn't go to the Park Beautification this morning as 55*F is not good for breathing when you cough about every 2 minutes at 75*. (Cold air makes me cough even more)

My goal today is to get the kitchen spic and span and to get 2 more totes full of ? put away, or thrown or what ever. I also want to work on the den but that will be a bonus.

On top of that I need to do the regular Monday stuff, i.e. erasing the footprints from the weekend.

Bittersweet - I think your goals are inspiring. Right now I don't think I could run out the door if the house was on fire. But I've lost 5.2 pounds in a little over a week so I'm trying.

The basement is put back to right after our visitors. And the guest bedroom as well. Plus the plants are watered, the ornament has been declared done (and imperfect but that's ok by me) and I made soup for lunch.

I've started reading my next book, Jihad Vs McWorld. I'm still in the introduction but am intrigued by the thesis that both are in play and not for good as countries become more and more divided into tribes. The author's theme is that we are reverting to tribal societies complete with their warring tendencies. A scary thought. Even more scary is that the book was written 17 years ago and I can think of a half dozen examples from today's headlines that confirm his thesis.

Dh has gone out for coffee and to tour a new multi-million dollar dairy barn in the area. He's to try and get the green pepper, green onion and mushrooms we need (but he's getting a ride so stopping for groceries might not work, in which case I'll run out later.)

Well, not too much undecorating has happened yet today but the boxes are all downstairs now. That counts, right? :)

Dh & I took a walk this AM which felt great. On the way back I ran out of energy & apologized to dh for my slow pace. Have worked on banking & some paperwork; dh stopped by the bank & post office on his way to run an errand.

Kathryn's post about the dairy reminded me of a video clip I saw recently about automatic milking machines. The cows literally stroll into the milking parlor on their own & sensors fit the machinery onto her. Amazing what technology can do. (And probably super expensive!) Here's a 4 minute clip demonstrating the process:

I'm off to start boxing up Christmas decorations.

So glad to see Indiana's message.

I don't feel very stable today. Life's a whirlwind.

I got a LOL hung out this morning and started in on a project. Got about 1/3 through and had to stop.

Trip to H-D then jobsite with supplies.
Stopped at bank and grocery for stuff to make potato salad for tomorrow's funeral lunch I'm helping with. Ran into library and took out the book I bought that never arrived.
Came home and forwarded email to blueprint place.
Went to blueprint place, then to another jobsite to help DH move trucks around. Went to another county office on way home.
Resent email with correct address this time.

Whew. Not much done here that's for sure and my desk is piled.

Oh well, some days go that way. I wonder if my laundry got dry?

I'm back....

I have turned the corner. I can breathe and wear normal jeans.

My air is constantly high.

Hi everyone! Stability for me means the maids are coming today, YEAH!!! Also my new smaller trash can should arrive so I can put all the trash in it that has built up. I checked my passport yesterday and I have plenty of time left on it for my travels. I need to research shore excursions in Helsinki today. I did have to do some organizing yesterday for the maids arrival. It wouldn't do to have them misplace my bills. I also mailed off DDs portrait for my parents' rogues gallery wall. The predicted snow and rain were not a problem Sunday. Today I have gotten stamps and invited a friend for dinner. I am way overdue, she has invited me a lot on Wednesdays. I also need to fold laundry and try to clear enough space on the sewing table to actually sew. DD's birthday is 15 Feb and I want Bug-A-Boo done and off my list.
