It is noon. I did some errands this a.m. and still need to go to the groc. store.
Done:
-dd13 to school
-part of a.m. routine
-out the door at 9:15 for errands:
-errand 1: WW meeting. I'm up again - 1.8 lbs. Argh!! I don't like that I'm bouncing back and forth so much. At least, my weight is definitely in a healthy range for my height and my clothes still fit fine, so this is more about my own personal goal, which is my pre-child bearing weight and may be a bit on the stringent side for my current age. My goal is 142 lbs. fully dressed with shoes on. I am 5' 7.25". I am not particularly large-boned, so I can hide some extra weight well. . . Anyhow, I am motivated to work on those pesky 7 lbs. which seem to come and go. I was at goal earlier this fall.
-errand 2: stopped by local sub shop to order sandwiches and salad for the lunch we're hosting on Sunday
-errand 3: library - got our next book club book, which is more of a brain candy book. Our selections this fall/ winter have been more on the light side rather than the deeper thoughtful side, but that can be good too!
-errand 4: gassed the van
-had lunch
I'm going to finish the a.m. routine, have some devo time, and go to the gym at 2 and the groc. store afterward. I have been completely slacking going to the gym!! I need to get back on it. Kids will start arriving home around 3:30, I believe.
"I'm doing great it has been two busy and crazy days culminating with head banging against the wall over and over.
The council meeting was good today with all the prep. Some old people just don't get it. They are too set in their ways. I don't mean older people who may be 94 and get it. It is the others that are too crabby."I should have added a young person 21 can be considered old and set in their ways.
Preping for the meeting was busy. I had the agenda ready and then other's realized it was time for the meeting and had items that should go oin the agenda and others that thought their item should go on the agenda.
It takes longer to explain why their item shouldn't be on the agenda. I gve them their answer which applied only to them. They still want them on anyway.
At the meeting a lot of good things came up. Then there is a new gentleman is so negative - grapes are sour, install heat lamps in kitchen, put fans in dining room, etc. The problem isn't heat lamps food was sitting too long before being delivered. That problem is getting better with some changes.
I had a headache from banging my head against the table and wall.
Hi, I'm so glad to be here. Our internet was out. Last eve. it said it couldn't find server and I managed to get into this site somehow but it was weird, looked more like "clipboard" and I saw something the word index in it and clicked it and here I was. Others will understand that more than me, I'm sure.
After running a couple scans, called the provider and whole area was down. Yay, it wasn't us and I didn't have to worry. But because computer was occupied with scanning, I had to hand type (yes I still have a typewriter!) a statement and a proposal.
Lucylee, I am making a quilt for DGS12 for next Christmas. I am attempting to make 4 more after this so all my DGSs can have one. Thinking about this, if I see I'm not even coming close to doing this, I'll start giving them for their birthdays so noone feels slighted at Christmas.

LOL hanging up. Kitchen cleaned up. Today's desk chores done for a while. There may be more. Phone calls fielded. At least 10 (I lost count) cartloads of leaves raked and carted away. Big huge area front and side now cleared. Lots more to go. I was pleased that I felt strong while I was doing this; however, I now feel sore muscles in my arms and back. I was stronger this time than when I first started this raking, so that's encouraging to me. bbl
Oh, speaking of a delivery (happy for you, Lilac) I intended to report to Indiana about my experience with the order of stamps online. They arrived one week after the order - not too bad. Cost only $1.00 for shipping/postage. I ordered several small sets of just 4 or 5 stamps each and those came packaged as well as any others, protected with cardboard backing and in a plastic sleeve. The only problem I encountered was in ordering online, when I would finish my order and get a glitch screen that said something about try again later. The first time I gave up and tried the next day. The next day, I got the same screen but submitted again instantly and it took the order - wish I'd known that trick before.
My TaDa for late yesterday was making a call to a cousin I haven't spoken with in a while. I had been feeling a bit guilty. But as I had suspected, that took a very long time. I would call more often if we could get off the phone earlier!
((OKay and LO)) I had been so sure you were past this quickly I don't think I ever even said get well soon!
helia's experience (kudos on staying aware and attending) reminds me, dd had a slice-of-life experience in P.E. class - each student was supposed to come FORWARD and calculate and record their BMI from their weight and height. It's part of 8th grade curriculum - they'd been taught how. This sounds fine and educational until you realize it happens in a crowded (co-ed) classroom of middle school-ers and things were going downhill. Not a lot of respect among the students. Dd walked forward ahead of her turn (I envisioned Oliver Twist when she told me - yikes ) and asked the teacher WHY she couldn't calculate her BMI at home and bring it back to him to record... ... If I had been there I'd have turned bright red. But he agreed there was no reason that shouldn't be allowed, and exempted her from the classwork!
Considering P.J. Day here a sick day for me as I'm fighting the sniffles.

Last night it melted off enough for us to successfully complete a store run and h. paid a bill that was due and we went to our favorite local taco stand for an early dinner. [H. left his phone there so had to run back for it.]
Under an inch of new snow here this morning that fell in the night it's starting to melt again today. I'm going to let h. shovel today when he gets up and around.
Pajama Day sounds so nice, Nancy; however not so nice if you're sick.
Got backed up with work here. Statement had to be changed; guy came here for payment which wasn't part of our work, but we paid his bill and added it to the statement. Had to dig an old email out of DH's email box as he tried to forward it to me and it came without its attachment. One more report for our taxes, received! One more to go.
While I was getting information about corporation I was in same site and decided I'd renew ours for this year. Done! Easy peasy on line with payment and all. Expensive but easy.
Helper #2 came by for pay check.
I've been running from one thing to another all day.
Had little office TV on and there was a huge click sound and a funky screen came up and the remotes wouldn't work. Cable was ok in rest of the house. I was sure the TV was fried. But I got it off manually and back on and all is ok. I'd say I've been having a lot of good luck with my electronics today.
I'm slaving away here (sort of) and making a bit of progress. Enough that I had to put a recycle bin under the table. I'm still walking back to the office for garbage and stuff to shred.
I've also had my lunch.
As for even starting large projects - that hasn't happened yet.
Next challenge, deal with this small pile under my left arm and then head over to the video store to return videos. I'll pick up the mail on the way back.
I keep getting an 'ill' feeling as I see how much I need to do. On the bright side, rest of the house is tidy (not clean, but tidy so it looks clean) and I'll be able to ignore it while focusing on paperwork.
Good afternoon everyone! I have had my lunch and am back at payroll. I just got information on the feral cat spay/neuter program for a friend. XDH is going to deliver DD's things to my garage so she will have clothes for tomorrow. I am probably babysitting for his date, bleah.
Kathryn: If XDH's dating and possible eventual remarriage affected only me, it would be just a matter of me dealing with it. Though the divorce was not my idea and was a bad idea in my opinion, I am and can continue to deal with it. It just bothers me that he is proceeding without any thought of the effect on DD9. I just don't think it is a good idea for a divorced parent to be spending all his or her energy on a dating life, when the priority should be the child who is devastated by the divorce. Especially a custodial parent. DD is not easy to deal with, and will make someone a very challenging stepchild. And usually when compared to new romance, existing child gets the short end of the stick.
Harmony, I so agree with you about pajama days being nice unless you are sick. My dgs6 and dgs7 love to have a pajama day. Their dad and stepmom drag them continuously, so when they are with their mom they beg for a pajama day. Their 6 week basketball season starts tomorrow or next Sat., so they won't be having pajama day again for awhile.
(((Elizabeth))) I just have to say that I really feel for you, that you had to hear from your dh/now xdh about dating and remarrying. I know that happens, both of my parents remarried after their divorce, but you sure didn't need him rubbing it in. He is lucky that you can continue to be civil to him after the way he has been. I really admire you, that you have overlooked that, because it is not easy to do.
My checkbook balanced but only after I finally found that I had not recorded a $600.00 cash withdrawal. Now I need to deduct all these amounts from my various "funds" and see where I am there. So I better go and Focus on that.
