Good Morning!!
Helia - I agree! You do have a wonderful gift of encouragement and another a gift I see in you is one of acceptance. You welcome diversity and those help those struggling (thinking Mom's group) and freely give of yourself to make them feel welcomed in your home.
LO made it all the way through the night without any problems. YEEAAAHHH!! However, once he got up we had a steamy shower session to get his lungs cleared up so he stopped coughing this morning. Sleeping a whole night through is definitely a sign of progress!!!!

Re: Gallivanting Thursday
I'm not gallivanting today, if I can help it. DH is out with helper and I have the house to myself for at least a part of the day. It is quiet here and I'm enjoying that.
MT asked why I was up so late...I guess I was, but right after dinner I took a 2 1/2 hr. nap. I'm running out of energy more than usual since being sick the other day. So I had to stay up a bit till I got sleepy again. I did sleep all night just fine after that.
Happy to see LO's progress.
Hope everybody who is out running around is enjoying a productive day. I did enough of that yesterday for a whole week.
Been sewing a bit. I'm doing this while the house is quiet and I have no interruptions. I'll do my computer work later. LOL twirling.
Family dynamics yesterday were very aggravating. I'm trying not to get all wound up over it all. Why can't families all just be polite (if not loving) and accepting of each other?

Re: Gallivanting Thursday
Good Morning! Some quick thoughts.....
I'll be gallivanting back to the hospital to see dh. He called just a few minutes ago to say one of his drs. was in and he probably will be coming home today. Yay !!
Water.... I will follow Harriet's link later when there's more time. I don't feel thirsty most of the time, even though I don't drink a lot of tea, coffee or soda. I told our nurse/pract. one time that I don't even like the taste of water; she said she didn't either!
Helia, it's great that your dkids are doing so well in school. I love hearing about them and all the activities they are involved in, as well as all the Village's children and grandchildren! Happy for your dh that his meeting turned out well for him.
Harriet, so glad your dr. appt went well for you.
Lucy and BookSaver, good luck to both of you for your meetings.
Time for me to be on my way to see dh. See you all later, have a good day.

Sunny, I'm glad your DH is coming home, must mean he is doing ok? Did he have his camera test?
Just wanted to remind everybody today is Groundhog Day! I must check to see if he saw his shadow or not.
Okay, I just looked it up, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, we're in for 6 more weeks of winter. They sure do make a big deal of all that up in Pennsylvania!

Re: Gallivanting Thursday
Hmmm...given that dictionary.com defines 'gallivant' as: "Go around from one place to another in the pursuit of pleasure or entertainment.", I'm not sure how much gallivanting I'll be fitting in today, since I'll be at payroll until 8:30pm! Of course, all I really need for pleasure and entertainment is a few kittens and some space for them to play, and that we've got at the facility!
My sleep was somewhat interrupted last night - largely due to a silly little dog "protecting" her bone
According to her, anyone who even walked within a foot of her was probably part of some great conspiracy to steal her bone and had to be fiercely warned off!
I need to get myself moving here, since I have to be out the door in a couple of hours. So far, I've managed to feed the criters, let the dog out (Miss Sniffany didn't deign to get off her comfy spot), put away the clean dishes, and started a sinkful of dirty ones to soak.
Round 1:
- take meds
- clean downstairs litter boxes
- wash a load of dishes
- finish vacuuming living room
Annddddd...once again I got sidetracked!
Now everything on the list except the vacuuming is done, and I'm down to an hour before I have to leave *sigh* Guess I'd better make a new l*st
- upstairs litter boxes
- 10 minutes cleaning in bathroom
- finish putting away clean laundry
- gather dirty laundry
- get dressed & ready for work!
The Groundhog Day results seem to be split this year

Re: Gallivanting Thursday
I'm done with my work at the church office, but am still here, enjoying a moment or two of calm before heading home.
Black tape over the toner's peep hole worked and I got 320 copies out of the toner cartridge despite yesterday's warning that the toner was empty. That gives you an idea of how wasteful that company's warning system is. I switched all printing to 'toner save' mode and the copies look a bit lighter but are still fully readable. You notice it most in the newsletter because it has a black banner which isn't solid black.
I'm tempted to take myself out for lunch but will resist and just go home. The issue is that I don't have anything easy to make for my lunch today.
Edited to add: I'm going gallivanting with my dh - I'll swing by and pick him up and we'll drive to the market town's McDonalds for lunch. I love him so much for being well to indulge my distractions so well!

Re: Gallivanting Thursday
Thank you for your kind words, OK. You clearly have the gift of encouragement!! ((LO)) Hard to hear that he is still sick, but maybe improving?
Thank you all of you for your kind words re: my kids. They definitely have their weaknesses and faults, but they really are good kids.
That's a good man, Kathryn.
Hope bittersweet is getting her kitty fix at work. If not, I guess she'll get it at home.
I'm happy that Sunny's dh is coming home today!! I hope that works out.
((Harmony)) and family issues. I feel that way sometimes too.
That is a really awful time for a staff meeting, booksaver. Will they at least provide good food if is going to start at 5:45 and last a couple hours?
I love hearing all the fun things you do with your grandkids, Nancy. I loved pigs in a blanket as a child. That is very special!!
I hope Twins is making headway on tax returns. I don't think we even have all the forms yet that we need in order to file. . . I also hope that Harriet's rescheduled Desk Day is working well for her.
Hi lucylee! I remember that you posted but I can't scroll back that far. I hope you're having a good day at school.
I'm back from moms group and am finishing my lunch. Then, I'll finish my a.m. routine and get the chicken cooked for the casserole tonight. I'd like to have the casserole together before I head out to pick up dd13 and go to her oboe lesson, so by 4 pm would be good.

No gallivanting for me today. After a conversation with the wellness nurse and the administrator I have a project. Sometimes it will take a big chunk of time and then a lull before another chunk of time. Through all this it will be a constant thought process.

Re: Gallivanting Thursday
Hi all - I am not gallivanting about today and I'm very happy about that. I have had the house to myself for two hours this morning and it is wonderfully quiet!
Silly shower story - I was still not fully awake (deep dreaming last night) when I got into the shower this morning. I washed my hair and then grabbed the conditioner bottle. I then proceeded to put the conditioner on my washrag and start to wash my body! I was thinking the lotion felt different, but just continued until I woke up to what I was doing! I laughed outloud at myself and started over again, after rinsing off. I was still laughing about it at breakfast - I felt so silly.
Helia - thanks for the Thirsty prompt today. I am "thirsty" to get my taxes done in February this year. I have 3 sets to do (mine and 2 estates) and want to get them done and out of the way, so I can start the new year with that accomplished. It always hangs over me until done, so I want to be proactive and complete them before March, while the CPA still has time to attend to my questions and complete the 3 sets. I always think of Twins this time of year, and that my CPA said she loves Feb. clients so much. I want to be loved!
Off to the adventures!
