Elizabeth..if your DD wants to taste something nasty, I've got just the stuff here!! It's Buckley's...not the original, which is nasty by itself...but some new variation called Buckley's Expectorant for Cough, Mucous & Phlegm (just the name sounds icky!!). I took some last night in the hopes of calming this cough that's been hanging on. Well....I have never ever ever ever ever ever EVER tasted anything SO horrible in my entire life (and that includes the castor oil I once had to drink for a medical test!). The only possible way to describe it is that it tastes like the Rosemary's baby offspring of Original Buckley's and a jar of Vick's VapoRub!!!!
This morning hasn't been quite as productive as I'd like, but it hasn't been a complete waste, either. I got the last round done...there's still more to be done in the bathroom, but I've made some progress. then I gathered the dirty laundry, got a load started, then bagged up all the bottles to take to the bottle depot. DD wants to take hers in, too, which means I have to get some of my stuff out of the car - like the two orange garbage bags half full of yarn (I found a couple of empty totes downstairs to put all that in).
Now I need to find my shoes and go GET the yarn from the car (along with several bags of other stuff that's just been left out there. DGS will be home from school in a few minutes, so I'll give them time to have some lunch before picking them up.

Re: Monday staying aware of my time
Last week we received our real estate property tax evaluations. This property jumped $12800.00. Dd2 said it had jumped a lot last year also. Anyway I called today to schedule an appeal and they can get me in, in the morning. Yikes! It may not go down, but at least I will have tried. Now I have a case of nerves, just thinking about going.
Well, I haven't heard from the prospective buyer. If we don't hear today, that will be one more let down in this house sale situation.
It is absolutely beautiful outside today. I would like to work outside but I need to work on bedrooms.
So I better get started...............

Jake and I spent some time outside today. It has been so nice with the temperature in the low 70s.
I had to laugh at the mallard squawking. He was saying both keep out and I'm going to have babies. They should hatch in about 3 weeks or so.

Re: Monday staying aware of my time
Afternoon everyone. I just got back from getting DD10 a cast on her arm, up past the elbow. We found out she broke both radius and ulna all the way through. She now has a bright orange cast and a blue Sharpie so she has Auburn colors, War Eagle! Now I need to call the tax people.
Cowinkie: A pallet of blankets wouldn't work on my hardwood floors. I wish it would, it is a good idea.

Re: Monday staying aware of my time
My time is short. I did get the suitcases out into the hall with an hour to spare. That might be a record. Now I'm trying to check in for our flights tomorrow.
Goodness knows when I'll post again. Am flying out at noon, arriving at 9 EST. Overnight in a hotel and then drive home. You'll probably see me late tomorrow night unless I'm too tired to post.

((((Elizabeth DD))) I hope the arm heals easily and with as little pain as possible.
We have spent almost 3 hours outdoors playing in the sunshine today. DMIL has been in/out of our home most of the day. DH and LO took DMIL to her doctor appt (follow up from ER visit). She is an amazing woman. I want to be just like her.
Supper has been served and kitchen cleaned up. I'm trying to talk myself out of not going back outside, but I think it is a waste of words.
thinking of those many days when LO was sick and we were stuck indoors and I could only dream of going outside......

Re: Monday staying aware of my time
Sigh when I walk out on the deck if neighbor's dogs are out side they bark the big one charges the fence as there are 5 of them seems they may be doing pack mentality I am concerned about dgkids playing out side in the back yard with out supervision & some protection. Drat I was hoping that this would settle down and work out but seems to be escalating. We did get a walk in and there are lots of home with scary sounding dogs in the back yards some more than one. I'm not afraid but some of the fences are not new.
Dgd did not lay down for a nap and did not fall asleep on the walk today is a no nap day here I guess. I told her if she falls asleep now I'd have to wake her up cause her mom will be coming soon. Dgd figured out the flavors of the jelly beans today.
H. has been shredding this afternoon.

Re: Monday staying aware of my time
Hello to everybody! I've cuop but I've simply been too busy to get here to chat. I did peek in this AM to J & C for a few minutes.
Indiana, What is a red flag warning? Tornado?
Happy belated birthday to Lilac, Mr. Lilac and OKay's DH. I want his menu for my next birthday!
BWTG Dove for cleaning out those spots. Cudos also to Cowinkie for keeping on schedule. Oh, poor DD, Elizabeth. I hope her arm doesn't get itchy inside the cast.
Nancy, I sure hope those neighbor dogs don't keep people from considering to buy your house. When we were trying to sell, our neighbors put up chain link fencing and they have 2 noisy pit-bull-type dogs.
A lot of cleaning has been done around here. All the hard stuff pretty much caught up. We had youth group here Sat eve., 1 pastor and another father. 10 boys and 2 girls showed up. Some schools are on spring break so not everybody was in town. Hot dogs on the grill, fire going, football and a game of kick ball, smores, hide-n-seek. The last kids didn't leave till 10:30.
Sunday was church. I stopped to get pictures of the bonfire to share. 5:00 was special church dinner about the new church when they took pledge cards. I hope this flies, it is a lot of money. We saw plans and met the builder. The dinner was lovely, an appetizer buffet, a main course buffet, then a dessert/coffee buffet. Only bad thing was they assigned tables and we were split up from the 2 couples we wanted to sit with.
Today was church meeting. I'm ready for a quiet day around here. Been sewing in my spare time. I have the binding on and finished on the quilt.
