Yikes, bittersweet! This is made all the more complicated since sometimes you have your grandchildren with you and they have even more varied needs from refrigeration. I remember when ours went out 6 months or so ago and the repair guy's receptionist (wife) told me he would be here SO fast. I was surprised but she said any repair job that was a refrigerator went to the top of the list. She said it was the repair job most likely to be costing additional value (foods) if it had to wait, plus it was the repair job most likely to be upsetting the customer!
Elizabeth, consider gloves and even a lightweight mask when you spray for weeds. Wash with soap up to your elbows afterward.
My ddad's linens are almost ready to go back on the bed.
I've made a big trash/recycle run to the cans, in advance of the trash-collectors night-time rounds! LOL! I'm sure they do come in the "morning" but they are way ahead of early birds, dawn light or anything else convenient!
I "laid out" today for 15 minutes! yay, that felt very nice. I read that LAngeles has passed the calendar-mark when Vit D can be made from the sunshine several days ago, and I think I am close enough to that parallel to start.

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
((bittersweet)) Hope the refrigerator situation is fixed to your satisfaction ASAP!!!
OKay, have fun fishing with LO.
Lucylee, be gentle with yourself. Hope you can get more rest tonight.
I just ran across my "Goals for 2012" that I had written on 1/1/12. Forgot all about them, Jan-Feb-Mar goals have not been met.
May I have a do-over?

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
Kally, I need a do-over on at least one 1st-quarter goal, also. I say we wave our favorite dish towels over the goals ceremoniously and inform them that they have just become 2nd quarter goals!
My ddad's bed is made.
Salmon marinating for supper.
The tip (small screw?) of one of my sink faucet handles in the master bath fell off and went down the drain. I tried to catch it and almost had my hand on it but it was gone. It's not just decorative, but holds the whole handle together, evidently. Dstepson is here now to try to retrieve it. He tried a long handled magnet, but the little thing is not magnetic. So he is going to have to open the drain up.
Oh, how I hate this. I've cleaned everything out from under the sink section of the vanity and brought him a pail.

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
Hello Ladies,
Another sunny day here, I'm going out in a while and sit on the porch and captures some D for me too, Harriet. Think I will bring dbother out with me to get some fresh air and sunshine.
Kally, I haven't reached my goals for 2012 either. I have been steadily listening to the Bible so I'm on track for reading it in one year but I think my other ones fell by the wayside. I'm wavingby dish towel over mine too and maybe start over in April.
I've completed my dailies,
first time in awhile. Yesterday I listened to my body and called it quits when my back and leg just began to hurt. Was able to do more today. Would like to work on some weeklies but I will just have to see.
First thing I did when I got out of bed was to do my back exercises and my back and leg have felt good all this time.
Have several things simmering on the stove for meals this week.
Dishwasher needs to be unloaded and loaded again.
Sending waves and hugs to all!

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
Instructions on how to actually use style sheets are completed. Lunch is eaten. XDH sent a scan of DD10's report card. Interestingly enough, she is reading at a 6th grade level. Her dyslexia shows up in her writing rather than reading. Spelling continues to be the bane of her existence, no surprise there. But she went from F's to C's and those are hard earned C's too. Tonight is Girls' Night Out, so I will be most likely eating Chinese and going to Chuck E Cheese. I am almost finished croceting an American Girl outfit, I have 2 rows left on the shorts, sewing buttons on the top, and the hat. I will start the hat while DD enjoys CEC.
Harriet: Not only do I soap up to the elbows, I take a complete shower after spraying weeds. Don't want that stuff on me!

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
I'm joining the group with goals that need a do-over.
Today's fishing efforts didn't result in a wet hook.
However, we are now fully licensed by the state to fish.
Even LO....which thrilled him to the hilt. Due to his age, he isn't required to have a state fishing license but they made him up one anyway and put it in a plastic pocket holder like a "normal" license. He kept taking it out of his back pocket and examining it.....over and over.
While we were in town getting fishing licenses, we went ahead and did weekly shopping. Normally we do that on Thursday but the next 2 days are busy with colonscope prep and procedure. I'm not looking forward to that, but I am looking forward to having it all behind me (bad pun, huh?)

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
In H and F forum I've posted a link to the U.S. Naval Observatory Sun Azimuth table. You can type in any US location (or type in the latitude, time zone, etc for any area outside the US) and find out what hours UVB rays are available to the area, for whatever date you ask. (UVB rays above 50 are the ones that allow the skin to make Vitamin D.)
OKay, isn't that how ALL men react to a new fishing or hunting license?
Sadie, I hope you and db had a pleasant time. I'm amazed that you (and several in our village) can do your exercises first thing in the morning. I find I am too stiff then and do better at another time of day. Happy for you on the continuing Bible reading.
That's wonderful that dd's grades have improved, Elizabeth.

Re: THINKING TUESDAY
My goals have were set aside this year too. I added my left over January goals to April, February to May, and March to June.
Life is good.
I was able to turn my oxygen down by a liter.
