I've cleaned one cupboard with the spices in it found some meds. h. will not need to refill on one shelf. Tossed some stuff we no longer need. Changed out the table cloth so I"m feeling productive. I'm seriously considering getting at least one under sink area cleaned and organized.
We will see how that goes. Granny duty has begun. I did a bit of knitting too I"m at the half way point of my current project.
I have cleaned under the sinks all of them yea! Tip of the day; kiddie broom worked wonders to reach the back of the under sink areas and mini dust pan! Yea for progress today.
It's raining out now so walk is delayed.

Peeking in. I had a busy weekend - out 8 hours on Saturday, 7 hours on Sunday, mostly to kid events. And church. And I didn't even get to small group since I had a conflict with a kid event, so I could have been out even longer. Monday and Tuesday were low-key days for me, though. Yesterday, I was busy straight through all day until I got home from youth group at 9 pm.
Today has been pretty busy too; moms group (I finished up the "retreat" this a.m.), ds to a Dr. appt., shopping at a MI specialty store downtown (cherries!) for hostess gifts for friends and munchies for dkids on the flight tomorrow. Now, I need to turn my attention to getting us ready to leave town tomorrow, bright and early. We'll leave about 6:45 a.m. We're off to Austin, TX! I'm looking forward to it. There will be a small group reunion of the small group Bible study we were a part of while there too; one family is flying in from PA. They have family in Austin to visit too. . . We're staying with our lovely friends, E and C, the ones who organized our trip to Italy last summer as she had just finished her PhD art history thesis on a monastery in Aosta, Italy, which is where we stayed. We're going to visit old stomping grounds, eat Texas BBQ, and mostly reconnect with friends.
When we return, we'll have 2 days free, and then my brother and a friend of his, whom I haven't met, and my niece, who is handicapped will be staying with us Easter weekend. With the remodel, that will be a little tight as we have one bedroom out of commission and we're down to 1 bathroom as well, but we'll do our best. Complicating things, we will also be watching Tori, our friends' dog. She is not great with young children, so we will have to watch dniece very carefully. Dniece is 14 but in some ways is more like 2 or 3. So, next week will be a full one too!!
I have gotten into The Hunger Games books; I really didn't think I would. I started the first one and then put it down for a very long time, thinking I wouldn't finish it. Then, I decided I would - and I couldn't put it down. There are a couple disturbing scenes, I'll admit; I wouldn't recommend this book for kids, even though it is probably a low enough reading level that kids can (and do) read it - and I know why dd16 said the book was disturbing. And she is hypersensitive. Anyhow, I then got the 2nd book -- and I just couldn't put it down! I think I like it better than the first. What an exciting page turner. . . Good entertainment, for sure - if one can stomach the premise and some of the violence.
Got only a few minutes of being on the porch today as DH and I ran errands this morning.
Went to Chiropractor, said my back is getting better. I can feel it getting better. Back in two weeks, and make the exercises a daily part of my life.
The Chiropractor's brother does accupucture and is there twice a week. he was there today and DH did a session with him for his back and anxiety. Will have to see how that goes.
Going to work soon and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday are 8 hour days so won't be around too much.
....cuop while sipping a much enjoyed cup of coffee
Home from the hospital with a clean bill of health. Colonscope was done with minimum drugs (at my request). I did wake up during the procedure, but it only took a couple seconds to fall back to sleep.
Lunch was goat yogurt (to put good bacteria into me) and 1/2 of order of General Tao chicken from our local Chinese restaurant. I'm still struggling to realize our little town has so many eating places to choose from now. I've lived here 50+ years and have seen many changes but nothing like it has changed in the last 5 years. New businesses coming to town and housing boom continue.
I had to sign a piece of paper at the hospital saying I wouldn't drive, sign any important paperwork or do any work for the next 24 hours. I don't remember having to do that before. Guess I will go put my feet up and be a slug for awhile
I've just wandered around the Village, stopping here and there to see what's new. Quiet in here today, but it nice to see you all.
((Twins' Mom)), hope everything gets resolved in a good manner. Indiana, nice to see you out and about enjoying the walk with Jake; so glad you are feeling better. Harmony, happy to read your dh has more work coming. Nancy, those are good numbers for your b.s., you work so hard at keeping it even. MT, I hope the diet for dh works for him. I'm sure he will feel better after his procedure.
I've been working on my countdown list for this week and next to get ready for dfam#3's visit Easter weekend.
Ds#2 is here finally to fix the problem in our main bathroom. We sure are grateful that he is willing to help us when we call with a problem. I am the designated gofer -- I'd better get busy with fetch and carry!

Thanks Sunny I have the sheets off the bed and in the wash dgd "helped"! Got the rest of the laundry down stairs and sorted. We picked up the basement the rec. room was a hit and miss hot spot! Dgd is now watching a fav. Franklin video. I have lino. under the sinks it's SO much easier to wipe up spills now! Yea!
Can't CUOP - racing through my day, but wanted to mention 3 hours from now is that moment I said I'd be watching tv with the phone off the hook! New BBT tonight guest staring Spock himself.
Left at 6am today to take dh to Orlando airport. It was a good plan -we were there just before the sun came up enough to be shinging in my eyes driving east. DH was there over 2 hours early but it worked good and he had a good (on time) flight home.
He's called several times to ask about something at our park model -for instance how to get the furnace running. One was to see if I knew where his big group of keys were -imagine!!! They were hanging on the key rack (which is inside a door)! Oh, I think there's going to be a bunch of calls yet to come.
Supper's ready...will try to post more after dinner.
This is my conga day. Still doing some of the things ideally would have liked to have done before listing the house but better late than never! I might have been able to if we had not gotten sick in Jan.
I’m done with the bottom cupboards w/ dgd’s help she crawled back in the parts I can’t reach to hand out stuff then I had a hard time keeping her out of it after that! LOL! Extra things went out to the play house and camper for now. I really do need to get rid of some larger skillets. I should have put those out in the car trunk instead ~ sigh ~ the day is not over yet.
Dd came to get dgd just when we had 90% of the stuff still out on the counters and table!
In the middle of all this dgd wanted to be rocked and held and h. decided it was time to have his lunch; I thought he was done with that and I had a window of time between meals to get that done and told him that. But in any case I'm happy to have reclaimed counters again and I"m having a soda and taking a breather before doing my walk sun has come out.
I still have one set of drawers to do that has phone books in one; tools in one keys and junk in the other.
Sheets are half done bottom sheet is back on the bed. Waiting on the top sheet to get dry before I can make it up the rest of the way.
