It is nice to have Lisa starting us, isn't it!?!

Pleasant to think of Twins' Mom at G. Tech picking up ds. All that left brain stuff floating around in the air there. Sorry the back hurts - probably too late to say let ds drive a while, or make a halfway stop and walk around. DRINK WATER. (Did I say that? how unusual)

Maybe I can remember to check the moon before bed Sat. Will have to see what cloud cover looks like on the forecast.

Now, if it were Star Trek day I'd be more interested! LOL

Thank goodness you got that chocolate in, Kathryn. I hope you can keep remembering it and not neglect it. :|

Creative thoughts - Elizabeth, inquiring minds will want to know about your painting!!! Lisa is going to post a photo for us in Arts, C and N, too, I think. (no pressure, no pressure) ;) Nancy, I don't blame you - let it go and start another project, life is too short not to be happy in your creativity.

I must have been confident this a.m. After school run I kept on moving and quickly got by pharmacy 2 and grocery 1. At grocery 1, none of my ddad's Ensure but stock lady and I got down on the floor  and pulled some out from WAY back. Not graceful, but confident since it saved a trip elsewhere. HRH had a late breakfast ready for me (BLT - he thinks it was brilliant, and he may be right). Then I confidently laid down in the sunshine for 15 mins until he left!!!

So now he and I are switched over and I can start concentrating on the house - kind of backwards but at least I was out in the world in reasonable temps. The cashier mentioned to me that she wasn't used to seeing me at that hour, and I said I might have to change my errand day schedules because of the intense heat. The other day when dd and I tried it normally, after the school run, I think we were both about half sick when we got home.

Ah, the hot weather. We go out in whatever temp. it is and just crank up the air. But we do come back in wilted sometimes.

I don't know what I'm confident about these days...I'm not very confident about our company and upcoming jobs, that's for sure. DH is out prepping a job, and it appears he will have to do part of that project that is very very difficult for him with little help. I may offer to go out and help, not that I can do much, but I can fetch and carry and keep things moving a little. Unless a subcontractor calls us this weekend, it looks like this will be the case.

Dailies done. I slept in too late and decided to wait to change the bed linens. I want to be able to wash the sheets earlier in the day so they will dry. I really need to get a second set for that bed.

All this talk about the heat has me worried about Atlanta. I'm a delicate Northern Rose, subject to wilting in intense heat. On the other hand, my Filipina minister will love it! (She hates the weather here.)

I'm working on updating Quicken. No, it isn't a high priority item but paying bills was and that has been mostly done now. I still haven't started the year-end accounting though. I may send dh out to buy me a diet dr. pepper. I'd go myself but might get distracted.

On the high horse -
Aha! I've been trying to figure out who it was whose blood results weren't communicated to them and I finally remembered it was Kathryn's minister she mentions above. Blood work done in December wasn't given to her and a problem wasn't caught until recently, I believe. Just wanted to NAG villagers and say, blood work belongs to the patient first. In theory, interested doctors would get copies of the patient's property - their blood work results. So everyone be sure to request your own hard copy for your records, and those of your family. I personally have decided I can't be satisfied with just a phone call from a disinterested person saying, "dr says your various tests are within limits, goodbye", and expecting me to go away. Neither she nor dr paid for the work; neither did they shed a drop of the stuff. Not their blood, not their choice to decide how much info I get about myself or my child. The billing office has plenty of stamps.

Yup, Harriet, it was my minister. And she is quite sick as a result. Not blood transfusion sick, but getting there. I'm actually looking forward to spending the time with her in Atlanta and being able to give her a proper rest. I'll nag about good bedtimes, and eating properly while we are there.

I'm feeling weepy right now. Aside from being overwhelmed, I had to just 'walk' ds to my Dad's grave. Ds now lives just 1 major intersection away and works a major intersection on the other side so decided to stop in today. Then couldn't remember where it was. I couldn't help much until I pulled up the satellite view of the graveyard and gave him instructions of what to look for while he walked along. I should really go too but I know my parents aren't there so I don't bother. Ds is good about that, he visits his other grandparents from time to time when in Toronto.

Two credit cards are now reconciled and their chits shredded so there's more space on my desk now. Things were getting out of hand.

Those of you using Chrome how do you like it?

I'm testing it instead of IE.

Indiana, I've been using Chrome for a couple of years, I think. No issues whatsoever with it!

I got in a nap with dMacs when I got ds home. He did some unloading, and the nap helped my back. I need to do some kitchen clean up - for today I don't mind cleaning up behind them but I'll get tired of it quickly.

-reboot laundry
-clear kitchen counters
-empty dishwasher

Will need to leave by 5:50 for temple, and need to s2s before then also.
