OKay - I agree completely with the NO GUILT way of thinking. I have seen so many people put off things they wanted to do (retire - travel, etc) until the right time and then it never came.

DH and I have decided to go the NO GUILT way - whether it be to take a nap, spend a bit of money for something we want but don't need and especially spend time with friends and family. It makes life worth living.

Today, we had our walk over by 7:30 as it will be warm today. I have cleared the spot for the new dresser in the bedroom and vacuumed to get ready for it. In a bit we will carry in the case and then bring the drawers in and start filling them. I have shelf paper cut for them so we will do that before we put them in the case.

DH made me a little sliding tray to go in one of the smaller drawers. It had a rail for the tray but it was missing. I still don't have the correct knobs for the two center drawers (one was missing when I bought it) but I really haven't looked. I picked up some knobs for $.50 each at the Habitat store so we will be able to use the dresser. I know a place back in IL that I know will have something I can use - so will check it out there.

Next up is to bring the dresser case in. Think good thoughts for our backs as it is heavy - but I have a dolly so think it will be OK.

Finally here! Kept getting interrupted..

Exhausted last eve. Too much up and down during the day. Phone kept ringing. We are getting some kind of robo call which hangs up, we think it's political announcements gone awry, DGFriend is getting them too.

More work on plans late last evening. Also was outside watering. We are trying to keep our grass going. Much of it is dead. Hoping when rains start to do lots more out there, plant seed, fertilizer, run one of those spikey things around (DH found a place to rent one). We have so many bare spaces. We keep the weeds pulled, but when the grass dies there are a lot of bare spots. I weeded a lot in the front until it got dark.

I need some of that go-go juice Lucy got. I remember shot treatment for bronchial asthma years ago, up late at night cleaning out bookcases..

(Elizabeth) life's hard sometimes.

More work on plans today, changes, additions, and more paperwork done for county office. Sent DH off with some of it. Waiting for customer's dumb idea to fall flat before we can submit the rest..... he's determined he can do one part of it with unlicensed sub, and he can't say he's doing it himself as owner as he's in wheelchair... DH told him to go get official permission first, yeah, I don't see that happening.

Anyway, every day there's been multi phone calls with prayer requests, I'm sorta on overload on those. When I call them on I get the next 4 -5 people's answering machines and have to keep calling till I reach someone...

Lost my coffee cup somewhere in the house, had to get out another.. LOL going, need to bring in sheets from last night; house is a mess, piles of paper projects in at least 4 spots.

Good luck everyone with your congas today!

Good morning! Last night I went to the church meeting, worked with the cat (who still hisses at me but wants to be petted), and did some clean up. I did not get a case of the mopes, so that is a good thing. I also put gas in the car and got the bird output off of the car. (I hate birds). This morning I could not get back to sleep after meds, I spent 90 minutes tossing and turning. There was machinery noise coming from somewherer and the cats wanted attention. Today I have run a virus check that took forever. I need to update a document at payroll but i cannot stop yawning.

I have a book called "Carmen Miranda's Ghost is Haunting Space Station Three". Maybe I should read a story or two from it tonight in honor of the Conga. Definitely a fun read.

Tonight I need to pick up DD, get dinner for us, buy a birthday present and wrap it, and do some laundry. The dryer makes noise so I can only do laundry when neither I nor DD is sleeping. I'm also afraid to leave it running while i am not there. It's probably just a belt squeaking, but why risk it?

Mowing was on my list for today but I had told dh that I just didn't know if I would have time. He agreed to do it. It is clouding up and is suppose to rain by 4 pm. So I am trying to get my bs jacked up so I can mow without a problem. Guess I better get started.............

OKay I so love LO stories!

I'm now legit in the morning. I used the iTunes gift cert that dd emailed me yesterday and found all the music that I don't currently own but use daily in my workouts. It was all there, even Lindsey Stirling although the song I was looking for had a different name so it took ages to figure that out (cross referencing with YouTube.) I even downloaded my conga song (which apparently is by the Miami Sound Machine.)

I had to set up an iTunes account which was stressful, but that's now done as well and I have a credit of $3.85 still.

Weeding is on my list for today. But pretty far down.

I'm almost finished the US accounting reports. Just have to finish up the "dh's butt was where on which projects for how many days" report. I literally go over printouts of google calendar and count the number of days he was where.

Edited to add:
DONE!

Lunch is obtained and eaten. I forgot to add weeding to my list of TADAs from yesterday. I am going to meet some friends for The Avengers 3D tonight. They have kids that DD10 enjoys. It will be starting late, 8:00, but this will let me know if I can take her to movies at that hour. If she wakes up extremely cranky, the the experiment failed. If she wakes up well, it is another activity we can do. I wish it was the 2D version though, cheaper and easier on the eyes.

Well, I need now to see how many of those other things on my hit l*st I can knock off now. I got a hair cut, which I love. Took a least two inches off; more of the colored hair gone. She did some layering so it feels like it has a lot of movement now. I took dh's car and had it hand washed and cleaned on the inside as well - it needed it badly. Indiana knows that I posted "Convertible therapy" on facebook earlier - it's a beautiful day here. Then I got a pedicure for my hooves, came home and visited with dd and her two friends, and took a lovely nap.

So now I'm left with seven thing undone, not including picking dh up tonight. Some of those are multiplies, too.

Phone call earlier of another death in congregation - this was a gentleman who lived out of town since his wife passed away. Very prominent in the congregation's history.

Going to fix myself an iced coffee, then work in 25 minute intervals. Here's the plan:
-clean out my car
-work session in garage to put Goodwill stuff into my car
-find dd's medical form that I (still) need to get to pediatrician
-front porch clean up and water ferns

Got the front and side gardens weeded. Met Rusty, our new neighbour (cockapoo) and chatted with Sasha about his barking (he left his property and circled around me barking loudly - maybe he objected to my hoodie but I was on my own property over 100' away from him when he started.) He's just a pup still but our property is getting very noisy (the adults in the houses across the street have a love of men toys so there are all these golf carts that are being used to run around the neighbourhood, testing boat engines, lawn mowers, et al.

Dh is taking me to the Seaway for dinner so I stopped for now. I still haven't got to packing ideas or tidying the basement so I can clean it. I did stair at the spare bedroom for a while, deciding what to do about the fact that the two mattresses that I wanted to push together to make into a king bed are uneven.
