Good morning to all! I am up, but not at 'em... have been waiting for duncle to call -- I was supposed to meet him & daunt @ nursing home this morning & give back his foot-thing, which he loaned to ds. [It's this kind of sock thing for -- I believe -- plantar fiscitis (sp???) DS never used it, anyway, but I have it here @ my house and have been intending to return it for a couple of months!]
ANYWAY -- duncle has not called, which makes me think he will likely wait until tomorrow morning.
Duncle lives about 15 miles away, but it's out-of-the-way, if you know what I mean. We never just go by his house on our way to anywhere.
Oh well... my day has plenty to occupy me, even if I do not see duncle, LOL!
[/] exercise
* going out to do some yard work w/dh, and he says if there is time afterwards, he wants to walk, also.
Well... he was too exhausted to walk. I probably could have walked, but I need to go ahead and s2s. My "yard work" consisted of following dh around w/the wheelbarrow & criticizing.
[ ] s2s
[x] take form to doctor's office for dmil to get handicapped tag
[ ] call dcousin re: shower
Actually, I called, but no one was home.
* OH -- dmil didn't care at all WHAT I got ds/ddil for the shower -- she said the swing would be just FINE -- she understood completely when I explained why they didn't think they needed a monitor! * whew *
[x] call appliance store re: trash compactor bags
[x] laundry
[x] post office
[x] met duncle and returned the sock-thing after all
[x] stopped by t-shirt place but dgbaby's t-shirt isn't ready yet
[ ] probably about a billion other things that need doing but I probably won't get done
Very nice quote from the queen to start us off,
Harriet! I have always admired the queen. I guess it's b/c she always seems sooo poised and in-control. Qualities I often feel I am lacking...
I bet the queen never ONCE worried about what HER mother-in-law might say!
I have trouble w/that "living in community" detail, too. I just hope the community understands, and supports ddil @ the shower -- in spite of the fact that we are ALL introverts in this family. * sigh *
Nancy, I'm STILL debating in my head whether or not to splurge for an iPhone. * sigh * I'm still wondering if I could ever figure out how to use it... and whether or not the luxury of it justifies the cost... more things the queen probably has NEVER had to consider, LOL!
helia -- well, you know what I'm going to say before I say it -- but I would DEFINITELY keep ds's award paper. I know... I'm a pack rat anyway... but I do have all of ds's report cards and awards and EVERYTHING in memory books. Maybe dgs will enjoy looking at those some day. I couldn't bear to throw away those things. And big congratulations to ds, also!
House fairy... LOL! I saw that on the news, too! Kinda creepy... but if she'd do a good job, it might be nice for her to visit. LOL...
Ooohhh... hope you do stay COOL,
MT!
So exciting to watch new house take shape,
Twins!
OKay, you are sooo inspiring -- teaching LO the Ten Commandments and everything. I hope I remember to take time to do things like that when our little one gets here!
(((
Lilac))) This is just sooo much for you to bear, all at once. (((BIG, BIG HUGS))) and lots of prayers for you and your family.
Saying a prayer for
Norma, too!
Oh -- ddil seems very sure that dbaby will arrive within the next 2-3 weeks. I told dh, that may just be wishful thinking. However, she also seems very sure that it will be FINE for us to carry on with our plans to be out of town 3 days, even if baby has arrived by then. She said, "We will not need you to do anything... (ds) will be home all the time you're gone... everything will be fine. We're not going to need a lot of people over at the house all the time, anyway."
I just hope ds doesn't feel that we are abandoning them in their hour of need, you know?
But I guess we'll have more of a feel for this after dbaby actually arrives and we see that everything IS fine... and of course, that is my BIG prayer right now... for a safe delivery & a healthy baby.
(((
Dee))) I know you're getting anxious, too! It won't be long now for either of us!
