Good morning all! I have answered and commented to all of you in my head, but that doesn't make for good conversation, does it?

I am an introvert by nature, and much of the time I don't have anything to say that would be of interest to anyone else.
"People who never lived with pets in the house don't understand people who do." How true, how true. I just wish they would acknowledge that their way isn't the only/correct way. I'm referring to some people IRL, especially some in my family. I've had to overlook many comments and "looks", etc., & try not to harbor hurt feelings toward anyone. Of course, these people who have never lived with pets think they are acting in my best interest. In some cases there are things in their lifestyles that I think are ridiculous and unnecessary, but I try very hard not to act/be judgmental about it. Not that I always succeed.... Again, I want to stress that I am referring to people I know in real life. OK, off my soapbox, this just kind of struck a nerve with me. Thanks for letting me vent.
Forsythia is one of my favorite flowering shrubs, probably because they are usually the first to bloom in the spring. Those bright, yellow shrubs are a welcome sight after a long winter. When I moved into this house ten years ago, there were several over-grown forsythias next to the back door which had to be eliminated because of the condition of the cement patio and the fact that the ground sloped toward the house & had to be regraded & re-sloped. I'm still trying to determine where I can plant another one. I want it to be in a spot where it can grow naturally.
"People are just odd." I've found that the oddest people are the ones who aren't like me.
Kathryn, I really hope your finger heals quickly. I've had similar injuries & it isn't easy. You are brave to dismantle your bbq. I would never get it back together, but then I don't have a mechanical bone in my body!
Oh my, Twins'! Sure hope Moses will be ok.
Sadie, hope you have a good day at work. I can tell you are looking forward to your trip!
Emptynester, stay safe in the wind. I'm glad you had a pleasant trip across my state (Kansas). We are expecting wind today also with 90+ temps. Summer is here, I guess.
Dee, your fireman on your berm sounds really cute!
OKay, hope your day is going well. I love your LO stories. He must be a special little boy.
Elly, I haven't tried fried pickles, but have heard that they are good.
Time to call my dmother & see how her day is going.
Waving to lucylee!
Hope everything is ok with Harriet & family.
