Twins, I forgot to ask since I know the area where you are now i am wondering if you think you will miss your mountain and it's view?

Re: Colors and Smells of Tuesday
Harriet asked in J&C about DDIL -still "hanging" in there. But, this new little bundle will be here tomorrow at the latest. Not sure yet what time her C-section is scheduled. Guess he's comfortable and just hanging around until he's made to enter this world!
Sure she's ready, but never has complained. Sure they also that nervous emotions will hit them tomorrow -at least until they're certain he's really okay. Losing Zoe last year really had a huge impact on them both.
DH, DD & dgs7 have all gone to the nearby country museum for the day. DD has a coupon for buy 1/get 1 free so that'll help. They're planning to go up in a tethered balloon there today as well. DGS will love that. His response when dd told him they were going to G Country today was "Awesome!". He's really into history. Amazing for a 7-year old (at least to me).
I'm going up to do a load of colored laundry so dh has plenty of things to choose from. Need to pack for him today since I have no idea what tomorrow holds. Hmmm....if only I had that philosophy every day!
I have a bag of dimes (somewhere) for dh to take to the WKA race in Southbend, IN this week. We always put all our dimes we find aside for a certain orphanage in AFrica. The chaplain for WKA is the director of said orphanage. DH usually gives her a check as well. WE started finding dimes in odd places after DDShelley passed away and decided then to give them to charity.
Hoping to hear some good news from Indiana.
Happy Birthday, Mr. MT!
Also Happy Birthday to US! This site was 4 years old yesterday!

I wanted to put Mr. Emptynester's birthday greeting here so no one would think that's him holding the sign above. He's much better looking than that guy!
The rain changed the smell to freshness here and will bring the daytime high temps down about 8 degrees.
The mother and grandmother of a school friend of dd's are going to take the girls on an outing today, and are able to pick dd up so that's excellent.
HRH had an odd day and brought take-out gravy biscuits here for our breakfast. That was a bit out-of-the-ordinary, but nice.

Re: Colors and Smells of Tuesday
Cowinkie, I'll miss living on the mountain and the community up here, kind of a little Mayberry community off to itself. We don't have a view here on the mountain but there is a nice view as you drive up/down the mountain, and I love the tree-covered hills and mountains. This is really a great place to raise kids.
Once we are moved we have a sweeping view of the mountain and tree-covered hillsides opposite us. Not many trees in the neighborhood, tho.
Dryer stuff wasn't dry so it's running longer - it's dd's twin comforter - and I ended up working in guest bedroom and made progress. Dneighbor is coming over soon to haul some boxes. A dfriend also called to check in and she is going to send her teen son to help me out with hauling boxes. I can take the packing but moving boxes is killing my back.

TM, you'll get it done one way or another. Try not to stress yourself over the deadline. I've moved a lot, too, and Cowinkie has the right idea! Count on eating out for a few days, too, as that lessens the stress regarding packing/unpacking pots, pans and utensils. Use paper and plastic dishes and flatware so you can pack those before the very end. But you are probably already doing all this.
Already today we have been to the hardware store so Sweetie could buy line for the weed whacker. He is beginning to do the edging around the concrete parking pad for the car and the cracks in the sidewalk. Later will be the edging around the pad for the home. I feel lucky that the manufactured home people actually placed it on the pad as I specified, with about 6 inches of concrete extending on the front and side. It makes it easier to mow that way, and once well edged should remain nice with just mowing. We have Plans for the lot, but it will take several years to happen.
Still waiting for my clothesline to arrive. I have a load of clothes in the washer, and I hope to be able to use that clothesline. Come on, FedEx!
My smell for today is freshly cut grass. The color is my favorite, Wedgewood blue.
Guess I'll go dust mop some floors.

zipping in...
Twin's I knew you didn't have a mt view from your house, but know going up and down it every day you do. Some day you should try and find a picture of that drive so the gals here could really appreciate your drive. Words just don't explain or describe it very well...and I agree with the Mayberry feeling. My DF lived in the apartments behind the elementary school and at one point in my life I almost moved there. That would have really made us neighbors.

Re: Colors and Smells of Tuesday
Windows are clean. Took me 2 hours to do them inside and out. Although, I must admit I wasn't cleaning every moment. More like....clean 2 minutes...get LO a drink....come back to see where I had just cleaned is dried streaks so start again in the same place....repeat repeat repeat
I smiled this morning as DDIL was telling me about her and DSon latest moving antics. DSon was suppose to removed 10' boards from their back yard before he left Sunday. He didn't get it done. Although she was quick to defend him saying he has been working 16 hour days for weeks. ANYway, she had to go rent a saw to cut them up herself......then she sent him a txt telling him the boards are gone but she only has 9 fingers now.
The moving stresses of doing so much in such a small amount of time seems to be hard on all. Their home goes on the market tomorrow. She is dreading the tramping of people/LOOKERS that typically happen when a home is 1st put on the market. She said she might pick DSon up from the airport and come here instead of putting up with it all weekend.

Re: Colors and Smells of Tuesday
Cowinkie, how's your head today?
I like lots of colors, yellow, some greens, pastel pinks and blues...and thankfully this very very very messy house does not smell. I've kept up on garbage detail and come to think of it, I scrubbed with soap and bleach our big outdoor can which smelled like something crawled up inside and died. It's somewhat better now.
Still a wreck around here. Nothing focus-like getting done. Except if you count washing floors and baseboards behind and underneath all the furniture in the living room we dragged out with the tv move.
1 LOL in dryer, I gave up hope of having time to hang it out. Deposits made at 2 banks. 3 games of Old Maid. Fielded phone calls. Kids want to go bowling. I need to check that next. DGS13 is out with DH, they went to landfill and to some potential customers to chat...he is tagging along today and I'm sure was put to work at the landfill. He is having a good time with Grandpa and GPA loves having the company. We would doing so good right now if we had a teenage son or two, too bad that didn't work out for us.
Was nice to read about Sunny's trip yesterday.
Not sure what future plans are to get these kids back home...dh has continuing ed this weekend, not great timing but was signed up 6 months ago so can't change.
OKay, I do not know how you do all that you do. I need lessons. I do know why DD2's whole house renovation is not done a year later.
Mine wouldn't be with this crew either. She's working hard up there while I have the kids!
DD1 had hernia operation outpatient this morning. Done and she is back home.
Alright, I gotta run to the next thing.. (Twins) wish I was there I'd find a way to come help and bring an energetic kid to lift boxes.
