Have managed to accomplish quite a bit (for me) this morning. RV ooze is all picked up and put away, dishes done, bed made, went through 1 recipe book & typed in a couple of recipes (to computer). Trying hard to rid myself of all these booklets. Taking books up to the laundry room as I finish looking through them. Slowly getting rid of them. Hope to be down to a very slim few by the end of our northern stay.
DH took a power nap and now has gone back outside. It's still quite warm and we have the AC running. Have gone down to running 1 AC unit at a time this year though. Our bedroom door shuts very nicely so we keep it closed and run the unit where we happen to be. Hope that will lower our overall bill this year. THe most it had been before last year was around $400 for the 6 months. Last year it was a little over $700. We'd figured this RV would be higher if only because of the high ceilings. Almost always have 1 or both ceiling fans going. There's also 2 fantastic fans (1 in the living room and 1 in the bathroom).
Seems like I'm hardly seeing dd this summer. This week's she's running dgs7 to lacrosse camp. Then week after next I think he has it for 3 days at a different spot.
Went to see new dgbaby yesterday and ddil had gone shopping. Think she was suffering from cabin fever and she's not one to sit around.
Shhh.....booksaver's napping. Tiptoeing out of here>>>>>>>>>>>

My wish for today is simple - walk farther.
I called the ambulance 2 weeks ago because I couldn't walk and I was shaking so badly. I had pleural effussion. Once they drained 1.5 liters of fluid from around my lung I was doing so much better.
After spending 2 weeks in bed I lost most of the strength in my legs. So I'm using my chair more but parking it and walking it a little farther each day. Soon I won't need it in my apartment.

Hi Ladies:
Back from my pedicure. I went all out this time and got Kelly Green with silver sparkles.
Hugs for Harriet and Lilac with their owies. Also Twins and Bookie.
Hurray for Kathryn for all she is getting done and Okay and Harmony as I know they are both accomplishing more than I do in a year.
I'm tired now and will go lay down with the ice pack on my knees and a book in my hands. Maybe I'll grab a sandwich first as breakfast seemed a long time ago.
Tomorrow will be our last day here as we travel toward Michigan. We will go to the Farmer's Market in the morning and lunch at DD#1's house. I also need to get some genealogy copied at the Quick Copy place.
Indiana - YGG a few steps further each day is wonderful. Stay inside as much as possible when it is so hot and humid out.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,
Barely making it here for the morning greeting.
(((Harriet))) hope your day goes smoother today.
(((Indiana))) Welcome home! Hoping you are getting stronger everyday.
Nine days until our trip! WOW! didn't realize we were down to the single digit of days until I typed it out.
DH is off getting new tires put on the suburban. First he told me we would need new tires, so I budgeted it for them. Then he said we would be ok if we didn't get the tires so I used the money for something else. Then lately he kept saying we do need new tires and it really seemed to bother him so I worked the budget to squeezed the money for tires again. Tires for SUV are not cheap!

Dsons and DH have gone over the vehicle from bumper to bumper replacing any thing that looks worn out to avoid break downs. We also got a membership with AAA just in case we do break down.
Have changed from taking sandwich meats in a cooler to canned goods. Don't know how well fresh meats will travel in a cooler in 100+ degree weather and don't want to end up with someone sick. So we're going with raviolli, canned chili, dinty moore stew, and of course the good old stand by of ramen noodles. Hoping to find shady rest areas along the way for our lunch. I'm bringing the coleman stove and camping dishes. Feeling like I'm on an episode of "Wagon Train".
We'll eat our evening meal at a restaurant.
Woke up feeling achey today. My heel is hurting so I'm stretching my foot a lot and trying to stay off of it. Wearing shoes with support in them rather than cool sandals or slips-ons.
I'll do desk work today and then go off to work at WM. Paying some bills early that come due while we are gone.
Please keep us in your prayers. A dream is coming true and I thank God so much for that.

I'm feeling like all I do is whine anymore. I probably need to have a good cry today and maybe I can move on. I am struggling.
This round I edited a temple excel worksheet and emptied two kitchen boxes and broke them down. Also cleared the kitchen counter but not the high "bar" height counter. I left a stack of dh's supplements (he's tried everyone, for at least a week or two) and protein powder for him to decide to keep or let go, if he will. Also straightened up great room area and had lunch.
Do you still use a salad spinner - at least those who aren't growing their own salad? It's been eons since I've used ours because I go for the convenience of bagged salad. Thinking of letting it go; I'm starting on a second box of Goodwill items.
Tomorrow ReStore comes here for our old windows (when we changed the windows in this house) and a couple of pieces of furniture. I also need a trip back to the old house for some papers and books - hoping I can get neighbor strong guy to load them in my car, and make a short trip to the town library with me and the books for donation. I have a large box of papers go to go a shred place, too.
Sadie, I'm so happy for you that your dream is coming true - this will be quite a memorable trip and I'm glad it's all worked out. We used to travel like you are with a cooler and the lunch meat was okay. You can also supplement with PBJ.

The "OLD" windows are in your "NEW" house? Right? Had me going there for a minute.
Maybe we could meet and have a good cry together Twins -but that's a long way to go for a 'cry'.

When we didn't like the first windows that were put into this new house, we paid to have them replaced - so they left us those first windows since we paid for them. (Boy, did we ever!) Anyway, we are donating them since they are perfect and new.
I called to get us a city garbage can and change the newspaper delivery. We're putting our garbage into the construction dumpsters here still as there are several houses under construction.
The POD was picked up also so that's done.
Ooooh, Dee. We should meet in a private place here and have our good cry together. I'm just so tired and so behind on everything. And anything I do takes longer than normal. I was telling the newspaper person the wrong address - "drive" instead of "circle" and she couldn't find it. I blanked out on the address also the other day.

(((Twins))) I've never seen anyone work so hard on other stuff before a big move. Even the day before the move your day had, what for me would have been, a full schedule of meetings.
The upper main level has been vacuumed and dusted. I also took time out to be distracted by pruning a few of the indoor plants and polishing a few pieces of silver that are very visible. The kitchen floor was also mopped.
I've just finished my lunch and will start in on the lower main floor. That needs dusting, vacuuming and the foyer floor mopped.
I'm really dragging. I also remembered I have choir tonight so that's an early dinner and then 4 hours taken up in the evening.

Thanks, Kathryn. I can't keep up this pace, obviously.

Yesterday morning I started working on simply little MPB project to adjust the wifi access......sometimes a simple little thing leads to another thing....and another...and another....and soon it becomes a huge project with no place to stop except keep going forward. knowing others are nodding their heads....Yup! BTDT! It took 1.5 days of effort, 3 new pieces of networking equipment, 5 computer guru's (2 onsite and others just phone support).....but it is almost done! ***PHEW*** There is one more tweak to the routing tables that can only be done by ISP owner who isn't available today....so technically the project isn't quite finished, but all the hard parts are. Soooo glad to have this project behind us!
Been tweaking my cards one time slot at a time. I gave my newly tweaked cards a try this morning and it went flawlessly! I was astonished how much I was able to accomplish in that time slot. My tweaks weren't in an effort to accomplish more, but to group cards together in a logical way so they flow from one card to another. Now I'm looking forward to tweaking cards with another time slot.
