This is the 2010 hardcover book I found for $1 at the Dollar Store today, in perfect shape with dust jacket pristine. Prime-Time Health by William Sears, MD I notice on the Amazon site the customer ratings are overwhelmingly high ones, so I'm pleased.

I've known about this book, and it was sort of "on my radar" but I might never have gotten to it. (This is the Dr. whose opinion on probiotics I mentioned here last month.) His book is in tip-after-tip format divided by subject, and quite thick, so I may be popping in here with new (to me) ideas.

This evening after 5 mins of stretch I did the original T-Tapp floor workout, Hit the Floor, which is 35 minutes. I needed the private time very much. Dd was just a few feet away, but engrossed in the Kindle with ear buds and we coexisted happily.

ty for your support. Admitting I'm not reading pwyc lately so sorry for things I miss.

pdoc liked that I'd recognized signs quickly and taken action to make a complete break, as in cut it out entirely. Expecting a few people may still call me. On a friend basis.. Receptionist is getting back my block bookings as much as possible. changed to make way for other's frequent conflicting things.
A ph call from someone shows me I'll need to write "officially" - when I have some wisdom in wording. I did tell caller why I hadn't gone to meeting where she wanted to problem solve - with 3 new folk present. I said I couldn't think of anything good to say with new folk present.

I have been keeping in touch with other places with more helpful msg - and not being afraid to say what my problems are has left a much greater acceptance of me - and where I am. Some great people. And I'm not responsible for anyone else. Just me.

Also people I see walking who wave. Or a lady w 2 big dogs who crossed the road to let us by . then crossed back. I'd stopped when they had stopped to let them stay ahead.

yoga today. One time managed to step one foot from dog to lunge. :) without needing multi steps - or via low lunge. Imitated arthur by falling over doing something else in a high lunge. lol. I'm liking yoga being wed & friday.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Super job moving from one position into the next, Lynlee. Just think how much more flexible you are than when you began. I like "hearing" you talk about "some great people" in your life!

I'm doing well with the "visual" of the card on the fridge again.

Today was the T-Tapp Step Away the Inches walking workout.

Yesterday was Total workout. In between (Sunday?) was another session of "Target" (floorwork) and then arms sequence while watching tv.

God-made, low-cal eating days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday are working out well. I try to exercise on the alternate days when I'm eating more. Seems like there is quite a bit of mental effort put into food lately. But it's worth it.

Kathryn, I think you need probiotics.

I am back in from doing a few things outside. a bit of exercise in that.
I did some walking in place and 2 mi. on the ex. bike.

I've been fighting a cold and bs was up this week.
Found some old grapes in the trash down stairs that were molding vines mostly put them out right away and that helped mold bothers me. I'll have to talk to h. about his after dinner snacking in the basement.

Last week was feeling puny at my cycle it shifts and makes me have upset tummy. I had some thing with vinegar and high acid like cranberry cherry diet juice and soda. That seemed to help.
I'm feeling back on track again now but had to have lots of water, a big salad yesterday for lunch was a hit, no cheese for lunch but did have yogurt today that makes me think I'm better just b/c it had less fat lol!. Veggies helped me feel better.

I need to make up humus.

Recommendation:
BBC's Horizon program series is the one I mentioned in Nancy's tv thread I wish my television could pick up. Well, the program from the other night, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer", is now on youtube in 2 forms - the whole program or in four 11-minute quarter-parts. It's about eating to improve health and host Michael Mosley (in his 50s) allows himself to be guinea pig, going through some fascinating ideas and getting his blood and abilities tested a lot of times before finally ending up, by the middle of the 3rd part, on Alternate Day, which is what I've been doing. Yay. Anyway, I highly recommend the program. Even the first minutes, which is interviewing some remarkable people, is great tv. I was a little disappointed they never mentioned Dr. Johnson, the author of the actual book, Alternate Day Diet, but they do interview at length one of the main researchers whose work was cited in it, Dr. Mattson.

The walking workout yesterday for me - 25 mins.

Harriet: I'll ask the doctor about probiotics. I'm a bit hesitant since 1) I only threw up once and am not on antibiotics so nothing has obviously changed the levels of bacteria in my system and 2) until we know what my liver is doing, I'm not sure I want to ask my liver to process anything unusual. It is obviously compromised by something - the goal is to figure out what. Finally, I'm nervous of anything that will make my insides feel bloated or gassy. I'm just now being able to eat or drink anything without feeling worse than before I ate or drank.

I have lost 5 pounds this past week.

When I do stand up and move around, I'm not shaky for about 10 - 15 minutes. This is a big improvement.
