Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
I am soon out the door to help move trucks around, so I will cuop later. I started but did not finish.
Some kind of awful noise line on phone today, have received 2 faxes ok, which is puzzling, but the noise continues. I can make calls from it and receive calls but noise overpowers anything...it's not a phone off the hook, I've checked.
Yesterday I spent the morning visiting my 2 ladies in nursing homes. One is new to me. She has been waiting for someone from church to visit. The 2nd one I hit right at lunch time so I took her down to the lunch room and sat there with her as she ate. This stuff is a stretch for me. I am so out of my comfort zone doing it, though I like these ladies. I'm hoping it will get easier.
Last eve. was committee meeting at church, so other than church stuff I didn't get much done all day. My hand is still a wreck and I'm patiently waiting for dr. appointment. Last night my friend said she thought it looked better. However, the new pink skin under the old that peeled away is now rashing up and cracking. And I'm staying out of all water except for shower. So I don't know what's causing it this time.

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
BookSaver, I meant to tell you yesterday that I enjoyed hearing about the house, barns/buildings and the decorating. Sounds like they've accomplished so much.
This is after the Crossroads, but Morning Daily Card accomplished. Swept and mopped kitchen. Got outside for 15 mins of sun at 10. Called and reordered a prescription.
Hope your time at the church camp is fun and productive, Emptynester. I remember when you took those photographs of sign-making, and I think it was for this same place.
((Harmony)) I would be useless to tell you what to do. Makes me think of some home remedies like Manuka Honey, which they say can even get rid of MRSA, not to mention all kinds of lesser things. But, see, that might be opposite of what dr will say... yep, just hoping that appt could be quicker. You could say to receptionist, if there is a cancellation, would you try to call me?
Wow, (OKay and family) Hope LO thought it was an adventure and not scary.
Happy for Dee and lucylee getting to take care of their grandsons.
Listening for reports from Kathryn and Indiana.

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
Details in J&C but doctor thinks it is gastro flu. I think she's nuts.
She told me to go to bed for a couple of days and to come back next week if I'm not better. She did draw blood.
While waiting for the blood draw (out of my hand since I hadn't prepared with heat), I saw two little kids in the waiting room with Goldfish crackers so we went to the store and bought some. I figure anything I feel like eating at this point is fair game. I did buy them in snack sized packaging so I won't go nuts.
I'm back to bed now.

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
-five emails needed, another if I can find an email address I need
-five errands
-a couple of phone calls
-find CPE information so I can get signed up (somewhere at home)
-find copy of ddogs med records to take to new vet (supposed to have been faxed to them, but will take a copy to be sure, one of errands is going to new vet)
-repot a plant and finish watering plants
-routines
-continue trying to find places for "things" I want to keep to live
I'm wondering about inviting the rabbi and his wife over for dinner next week before dkids take off for school. That would mean I'd have to whip the DR into shape.
Kathryn, continuing to take it easy for a couple of days won't hurt anything, at least. And the blood draw should turn up some of the simple possibilities?

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
I need a whirlwind. . . . I can't get going. I did get up early and go for a 35 minute jog first thing this a.m. with dh and, frankly, that has left me tired. I think I'm also not getting enough sleep; I went to bed around midnight last night after finally getting ds to finish his garbage chore. Dd16 and friends were just starting a movie then; we were not thrilled with that but talked to dd16 about it and finally relented. The girls were up at a good hour this morning; 2 were picked up at 9, while dh and I were still out. They're missing sleep too.
((Kathryn)) I had wondered if you might be pg initially, but then you said you were running a fever. . .
((Harmony)) I don't know what is going on with your hand but that doesn't sound good.
Hoping Indiana is on the mend.
Is your dh feeling better, Twins? Are there photos yet of your new place?
--Am I being too nosy. . .
Morning card is not done here. OK, maybe I'll make a very specific list to work from. .
1. start laundry - towels and bedding
2. call vet - now, Pepper has fleas; she has never had them before. They switched her flea medication this year -- and it's not working, imho. . . .
3. strip and remake bed
4. teeth care
5. finish filing from last week.

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
Helia, we've had trouble with frontline not working on Moses so he gets Comfortis in addition to Frontline. They also suggest that the Frontline get applied to his lower back above the tail in addition to the neck. Although it seems that there's something better than Frontline now but there was some production issue with it?
Done with those emails.
-look for CPE info
-find vet info
-make bed
-brush teeth, etc.
-empty the dishwasher, if it's finished

Frontline here for Sammie. I certainly hope it's good! Frankly, with one dog, we are still on a package we've had for a while. We've always been pretty happy with it. Advantage for cats.
Well, there's a nice compliment. Kathryn, you are so young. Those of us on the other side of things never hear this any more. Of course, I could share now the litany of complaints we no longer have, but why spoil the moment.
Also, Kathryn, I may not have told you enough that I think you need to take probiotics. (smiling, because I believe it is approaching nagging by now) Still.
Think I will hard-boil some eggs.

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
Helia If I had more energy I'd be rolling on the floor laughing at the pg comment. Yes, the symptoms are similar and I do not use birth control but it is impossible. First, my TOM arrived last week just before the nausea hit the hardest and second, my dh has no prostate so even if we accept that 20 year old vasectomies might fail, I'm still in the clear. Actually, the doctor read me the riot act about not using birth control at my last physical and I told her if I started using birth control it would put far more strain on my marriage, and create problems rather than avoid them!
I'm up for a bit because being down doesn't make me feel any better.
Remembered to send out birthday greetings.
Got the details for tonight's meeting. Ds will pick me up and drive me to it and dh and pick me up from it should I decide to go. I just have to decide if I can be up for 3 hours. I was up for 90 minutes this morning and suppose I could have stayed up another hour.
I'm going to have some bacon now since that's what I feel like eating. Had half a banana first. I'm thinking I might have some juice too as I'm tired of water and gatorade but nothing else appeals to me.

Re: Wednesday Whirlwind
Hello Dear Ladies,
It's back to work for me today.
We have inventory tomorrow so tonight will be hectic, I'm sure.
Got the dishes done, kitchen cleaned, all vinyl areas swept and mopped. Cleaned our bathroom.
Worked on putting more things away. I think I have all the trip things put away. Now I need to clear off the table where my laptop sits. It had all the mail that came while we were gone, I took out the important stuff. That will be tomorrow.
Don't have time to write so will have to share more about our trip on another day.
Have a great day all!
