(((OKay))) It's part of growing up. Learning we can part without falling apart.

I've tidied the pantry closet (more accurately crammed more stuff into it.) I think I might be hoarding because I'm sick. I've managed to over stock up on soup and tinned mandarins. When I get better, I'll give the closet a good clean out and update my inventory of it. I try to have only on extra of each item down there so if I empty something in the kitchen, I know there is more in the basement. Cereal and soup I tend to stock up when they go on sale. Same with some of the baking supplies since I'll need them in the fall for Christmas baking.

I need to finish my devotions. I did the reading but walked away before doing the journalling part. I'm in 1 Kings right now which is more a story than kernals of wisdom I can expand upon from a single verse. So that makes the writing part more difficult (my normal pattern is to pick a verse and reflect on that but there's a lot of killing in these verses which is tougher to reflect upon!)

On the 17th, dgd16 months was moved up a room at daycare. It is bigger with kids more her own age. Everyday last week she was excited to go and even squealed with happiness one day. Dd2 just called and dgd16mos had cried and cried this morning, saying no, momma, no.

Better get the yard mowed.................

Alrighty! I'm bruised and broken hearted over the crying episode, but determined not to dwell on it. We will talk about it on our walk together after school.

Closet cleanse project has begin! I'm starting with the entry closet. I have it 75% emptied. Sorted the coats into owners so I could see who has how many coats. (DH has the most!). Regular washing is caught up, so the washing of winter coats has begun.

Got to get back into mental place where making decision about what to keep/give away goes quickly. I'm agonizing over whether to keep the play pen. There are pro & cons both ways. If I am thinking this hard on it......I'm going to keep it for a while longer.

I certainly don't want him to be unable to find help when he needs his coffee warmed!

Oh no! and neither do we! We need you all to be SAFE! Stove burners and ceramic cups do not a good marriage make!

(((Okay))). Good decision evidently on the playpen. Or someone will come along who really needs it NOW. As for dh having the most coats -have a feeling that might be true in a lot of households. Know it is mine.

The driver who hit and killed dfriend/neighbor last July (2011) goes on trial next Tuesday. He's been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. (this guy was driving a company landscape truck, was 55 yrs old and it was 11:15 in the morning -scary!) DDIL wanted to go into the courtroom, but when I texted her the info I realized she's off next week (dgs7's first week of school & they move back to their house). She really wanted to be there for dfriend. I may think about going in. I'll see. I was thinking it was tomorrow & I would have dgs for the day.

Have water hot and time to do dishes. Plan to do a LOL this afternoon. Used to try to get down there first thing in the day, but then I don't get anything done here.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

It is a humid day here. Hoping for rain again.

Got the dishwasher running, menfolk are out the door.

It's laundry day for me. Need to strip our bed and get the sheets and towels going.

In a few minutes I need to call our propane company and pay the bill over the phone. Propane is very low priced so I had the truck come out and top off the tank. We use the wood stove a lot through the winter so it saves on propane but it's nice to start the cold weather with a full tank in case we have a bad winter.

I don't drink soft drinks at all. All the fake sugars make me feel funny. I used to drink the regular kind occasionally but the last couple of times I drank soda I ended up with very bad bladder infections which I blame on the soda so no more for me. It's bad for your bones anyway. I drink ice tea when out dining, green tea at home. Coffee in the morning and soy milk for a bed time drink. And water in between.

Got to tackle my Monday house.

H. is on call today so off to help w/ the coop build. We need a few things but Rx is not open till nine sigh! I did a PM routine last night and the kitchen looks acceptable this morning yea!

When you mentioned propane being cheaper, Sadie, I instantly thought: "I have to call dShelley & tell her". Of course you know what happened with that thought. Can't believe after 3 years I'm caught off guard like that. Amazing how the mind works sometimes. But, it's okay. I'm sure all of you have someone who has gone on that those little things come by all the time.

DH has gone to town to buy RV anti-freeze. Some people buy their own, but mostly he provides it when he winterizes RV's. In fact the guy who was invited to leave stopped and asked him to come on Thursday & winterize his before he takes it out. Know dh would rather be anywhere than there. DD gave me a little more insight into this particular event. She saw him/her warned several times and spoke of very inappropriate behavior at some of the concerts -enough to make her feel very uncomfortable. Of course most people here wouldn't have seen those episodes.

Time for a Tylenol break. I've been taking stuff off and sorting two huge shelves - 4' X 8'. Now I'm on a break while DH makes some smaller shelves to store small boxes of nails. It did help that the "boys" (college age guys who work here in the summer) moved the 5 gallon pails of driveway sealer and 40 lb bags of cement off the top shelf. I get stuck with the half box of individual bars of hand soap and the multiple boxes half full of nails.

It is a beautiful day here with not a cloud in the sky. We had 2 nights and all day yesterday of female rain. The boys are waiting for the grass to dry and then they will start to mow again. There are 180 acres here - about half in woods but the rest all needs mowing.

Break time is over so I'd better get back to sorting. (And sweeping up mouse you know what.)

Finished with mowing. Now need to shower, eat lunch and run errands...................
