Ellyphant: I cried at We Bought a Zoo because of the grieving of the family. My sister died when my nephew was 9 and so I relive those times when I'm faced with a child who has lost their parent.

Good morning all.

Thank you Lynlee for the wonderful place we can honor Indiana. I sent the url to her niece to share with the family. I told them since we were a cyber village, we did a cyber thing.

We are going to a college football game this afternoon. Our DGD#1 plays in the drum line for her college - it is parent's weekend so her mother (my DD#1) will be marching with her. We will be in the stands - cheering them both.

Helia - Yes! The google logo brings a smile to my face and fond memories of Indiana.

The 5 rooms/area that have went through their cleanse recently have been restored to MM. It is almost effortless to keep them that way with all the clutter removed. it only takes a couple minutes with microfiber towel over the surfaces. The floor gets a daily dust mop followed by damp SH-mop.
MM = Maintenance Mode refers to a point it is generally considered to be "complete"

Good Morning Ladies,

Sunshine and Cool temps here. Presently 66 degrees at 9:32 a.m. Dbrother asked if he should start wearing his winter clothes. He's not the only one, people were asking for thermal underwear last night and buying sweats.

We had rain and wind. The shopping carts were being blown all over the lot, kept having workers go out to gather them up.
Sunny today.

Thank you Lynlee for posting the candle website. I will ponder on Indiana and her family today.

Work day for me so need to skee daddle out of here.

Storm after storm keep rolling through here. I think we are up to 6 or 7 of them since midnight. In between, it can get bright but then darkens down again and the thunder and rain starts up. Dh said it was funny watching our lawn lamp from the exercise bike. It comes on when it is dark and was on and off all the time he was working out.

I've s2s (and dried my hair), done a load of laundry and hung it up (inside) to dry. Dh goes away tomorrow and he'll need underwear so that was a priority. Put away another two loads of laundry that were washed earlier this week.

I've also unloaded the dishwasher and drain rack and attempted (and failed) yesterday's 'Evil' rated sudoku.

Not a lot to show for 2 hours of being up, but not too little either.

Thank you Lynlee for the beautiful opening this morning in honor of our Indiana. I lit a candle last night after reading Lynlee's post in J & C.
Thanks to MT for passing it on to Indiana's family. I did receive the email from Kathryn the other day and started crying half way through reading it. I miss Indiana so much, she was such a part of my daily life. I will be thinking of her and the family today during the memorial service.

Lots of plans today around the house and errands to be done. Need to get it together if I want to accomplish them all. Off to the adventures!

(((Hugs))) to everyone here today, I never "met" Indiana but I can tell how much ya'll loved her.

I have a message from my boss asking me to call her because she has something she has been thinking of that she wants to see if I'm interested in... knowing her she has found someway to keep me in the management team... but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I have a Telecon at 2pm today for the Navy and DP wants to take the family to a BBQ charity event. I'm feeling very emotionally hung over after yesterday so I don't know.

Morning y'all....

Thinking of Indi and her family today as well. I lit a real candle for her before I came to our village. Storms came in yesterday and it rained all day...almost 3 inches worth in our area and our yearly rainfall is 7". I stayed home yesterday cause I didn't want to get caught in any. Flash floods. They happen in a second and you never known where. There is a saying here when the streets and low areas flood.....don't drown, turn around. If your car stalls in water and you have to be rescued, you have to pay the city for their tome and services.

Anyway I need to go to the post office to mail the rice crispy treats. The water was off for most of the time at my house yesterday while they worked on the garage. So was some of my electricity. It thundered and lightning for at least 7 hrs during the day, but the guys and Sweetie were under roof while they worked. Ive been struck by lightning while pouring a slab a while back. Though there were clouds in the sky it had not been raining nor was it raining when I stuck my hands under the outside spicket. Lightneing struck a tree about 75' from me. It ran under ground, found my water pipes which were flowing, and exited out the faucet where I was washing my hands. Looked like a thousand sparklers. Not sure how I knew but I pulled my hands away just as it came out. I caught some of it. Hurt like a huge shock. Lesson learned. I never talk on the phone, take a shower or wash dishes when there is lightning around. Same goes for swimming or being in open areas like a field, parking lot or stadium.

Need to get going... Sending a huge group hug to y'all

Remembering Indiana along with all of you today.

Harmony--My DF had mental decline due to lack of oxygen during anesthesia.

He also had a heart attack and stroke. I have the flag from his funeral as my DM and DB didn't want it. Have it on the mantle, but have also hung it outside at times. Had a high balcony at last house and even though the flag is huge, I hung it on the balcony during 4th of July gatherings. Have pictures from his army days that his sisters sent me after his death. So I keep what is important to me (to clarify yesterday's post).

The grocery store was smelling so good today--they have the cinnamon brooms displayed. Almost bought one, but will wait until fall officially arrives.

Did the library run and once monthly recycling. I should clean toilets next...

I LOVE MY BOSS!!! She has obviously been thinking very hard about finding me a non-traditional leadership position. She wants me to be the Hospital Preceptor (trainer). I love teaching, and am good at it so this is right up my alley!

Looks like DP and I may not be going to BBQ event (depends on cost and event) they are going to check it out now but due to my schedule and her DH's schedule we may just be grilling and watching movies.

The Navy Telecon is in 30 minutes and I haven't recieved the agenda yet... argh! I am the who types the minutes so I need it!!!
