Guess I'm wondering why pack them away.
Not exactly packing them AWAY, MT. These are the summery things I need to take with us to FL -like capris and tops, a few shorts. Trying to get to the point we leave most of them here and have a different wardrobe for FL, but that takes shopping & $$. Admittedly I don't wear as many of the 'dressier' clothes here as in FL. If I didn't need them this winter -believe me they would remain hanging in the closet! 8-) I really would like to not be taking as much back and forth.

I'm still not feeling well. Headachy and a little nausea, so guess I'll lean back for a while. Trying to avoid taking the acetimenophen but may have to give in. Just a mild case of the 'bug' -whatever the 'bug' is. I'm perfectly WILLING for it to leave.

Got out a little wind-up 'radio' that was DS-A's when he was little. Plays "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" and still sounds super. Going to wipe it down good and give it to DDIL#2 for dbaby. Think dShelley probably had it before DS. Been around a LONG time. I'm WILLING to part with it for him -what am I going to do with it besides store it somewhere?

Going to go put my head back for a bit. Sounds like a 'puttering' day here.

Got all the previous done. The laundry and dining table did take a bit more than :15 each, but not much. Also got the blinds open, but did not turn off lights as it is so gloomy today. Hope this weather clears out for DH's (mostly outdoor) retreat.

The "OK" wasn't meant as an invitation, but I'm glad you decided to join me, OKay! ;) Glad blessed is joining in the "fun," too!

Hope you feel better soon, Dee.

Waving to Lynlee, whose "light" I see is on.

Next up:
:15 tidy couch & coffee table; check on playroom; update shopping list I made yesterday
:15 check for coupons for shopping trip
by then, I should be able to
:15 flip wash

midnight here.
dishes are washed.
time for bed.

tadas for today
readings and wrote a prayer - helps my outlook for the day.
mtg
- have been asked to help in local office 3 hrs every 2nd Monday. Said I'll try it. Mostly there are no phone calls, and no one comes seeking literature or books. Fingers crossed. I like this group as I need only share my experience strength and hope, not try to speak for the fellowship perfectly as they would like it. Nor fix or control anyone else.
ph call - sort out taxfile# for financial planner - so moving super can happen. Didn't think to take it with me last week.
phone call from old support group member. I don't think I will go back as I lost it too much when "things in area support group for support group failed to support in my opinion. " I give up on fighting about how I think things should happen. It brought up a lot of grief with that group from decades past. I used be totally involved at a national level. I did check if things were meant to have changed to that degree - not in other areas.
Made an appointment for dog grooming - clip and nails.
walked dog
dinner
phone call from someone - seems to be victimised by state housing dept. hard time over nothing if I am to believe this woman. I'd hate that inspector to come to my house..
wrapped gifts for dgks. Have decided to call it birthday month :) :) 2 birthdays a week apart. Now 13 and 10. Bought clothing - hope it fits. (Other dd's toddler is 12 days earlier) Tomorrow we are having a beach day so hope weather is a bit better - cool last 2 days. It was hot before that. Looking forward to having some time with them without screens taking their attention. Next week we are going to muesum to see Mummy's - Egyptian exhibition from British Muesum. Just stopping in our state for a while. So popular all tickets pre sold and need to schedule which time slot you will enter for your looksee. Remembering another Egyptian exhibit we was in 88.. when kids were young. One of dd's friends wants to meet up with me again so its her kidlets as well. Think its because I was another single parent. And she now has that status.

Set up new camera ready to go tomorrow. Now I find it seems to have no view finder. Just had to set the day and time. Put in a cloth to clean the display. found the strap and the protector bag. Its in my bag.

dishes are washed.
good night Hope you all have a good day.

My prayer from this morning:-
Looking to you today Lord. Wanting to allow my mind to see you in all people, places and things. Seeking to enguage my thoughts, feelings and action in my quest for wholeness. To do your will .. help me to grow in character, self discipline, determination and strength by systematicly tackling my problem areas one at a time, tiny change by tiny change. Setting the dial for attitude today to peace / inner happiness - to be at peace with you and with myself, my inner being. Asking for your help with the HOW - honesty, openmindedness and willingness. Guide me in the next babystep, that I take it with ease and confidence. Help me with your grace in family and other relationships, wisdom in my part of the interaction. Help me to accept imperfections in myself, others and in our relating as you accept us in all our attempts.
May your strength support me always.

Many Blessings to you and your family Twins as you walk thru this part of your faith calendar.

Hadn't noticed that icon before, Blessedw2 -quite appropriate.

I tried reclining for a while and felt no better and finally relented and just took the acetimenophen. DH had come in to ask me to go to town with him if I wanted -he has to go to A C E hardware and I can get the mail. Then in a while a new resident has asked dh if we could pick her up from auto shop while she leaves her car for tranny repair. (This gal & her 20 year old dd are staying here for a few weeks while dd receives radiation for Hodgkins disease. Small world dept: they're from 'over the hill' from where dh and I grew up & went to school and of course dh had Hodgkins 49 years ago. Treatment now is so much better than back then. Radiation is now pin pointed. Was broad back then.) R has been depending on dh to help her out where needed -dh had told her to -day or night. I need to find out what route she's taking to the hospital. If she's taking the route I suspect, she's going 6-8 miles out of her way.

Dark here too, Mystery. Supposed to rain as well. Have the electric heater going just to keep the dampness out and take off the chill. I can't bear to be cold and really don't need to be when I'm already feeling 'iffy'. But I can only think of Kathryn & Harmony and how much they accomplish with daily fatigue. You 2 are my inspiration as far as that goes!

50*-80* Temp. range here today. Smoke is not too bad today yea.
I'm up a bit later today it's my day to sleep in no granny duty. Got a lot
done around here yesterday SO glad for that! Today I should do outside stuff but am lacking mojo as my ear is acting up off and on. Dgd had play school yesterday in the morning then a play date early afternoon then by the time she came here around three was cranky out of sorts and finally had a nap not the quality of time we ususally have.
I did a wonderful dinner last night but h. was out of sorts after coming home and having to repair the power window on the truck would not come back up he got it going. We ate in different rooms. { Some one else was like a cranky 3 yo. here ~ besides the 3 yo asleep on the couch!} LOL!

{K in C}

Chicken report; No news. We do not have any chickens yet still building the place to keep 'em. Trying to hatch eggs in the basement under a heat lamp. This weekend will be the 21 day time frame for hatching out. I saw an add on Craig's list some one is selling the ones they had at the fair but w/ no pen done we can't get any. Might be a good thing b/c of exposure to who knows what at the fair disease wise. Tomorrow is the last day for turning eggs.

I like gala apples honey crisps and red lady fuji are h.'s fav.
Delicious used to be our favorite as well. I get the ones that are the prettiest and best price.
They have replaced the old
delicious trees with younger newer better kinds around here.

Breakfast is done four bites of a cupcake/muffin dgd & I made the other day.

[Fighting w/ google chrome today to keep pages up and going ar-ragh!]

Twins Mom, I like how Lynlee said you are "walking through part of your faith calendar" today. Reminded me of the simple old phrase "walk the walk", meaning if you believe something, do something about it. A very, very old saying in the A.M.E. Zion church near here was, "Put feet on your prayers." Enjoy and benefit from your fast.

Quite right, Lynlee, get the camera ready and already packed, well ahead of the family outing. Enjoy the beach.

I haven't forgotten your dd, blessed and am believing she will have a good year. A day off would be appreciated by the most avid among us, though!

Hoping the Emptynesters get some sun.

Coffee table, couch, and playroom are done -- easy peasy -- and wash is flipped. Still more coupons to be clipped, though -- goodness, we had a stack of ads! -- and I forgot to update the list before starting to clip coupons.

Hope the acetaminophen kicks in soon, Dee. Are you headed in w/DH or perhaps going to take a nap?

Lovely prayer, Lynlee! Pleasant dreams!

Good progress, blessed!

Waving to Harriet and Nancy!

The gloom continues here, and now it is raining in earnest. I hope DH and everyone on his retreat brought extra clothes so they'll be able to change into something dry later. When he came home yesterday, he was talking of one of the guys on his retreat who thought he was going to have to back out b/c the school's PR person wants all the National Merit kids for a group photo after school today. DH was frustrated -- there was no way to convince the PR person to do this another time, as she had apparently been trying for quite a while to set this up (gee... these are the kind of kids who are involved in all sorts of things, and it's hard to get them all in one place at once? ), nor was she open to suggestions that this sort of thing is what Photoshop was made for. DH's primary frustration was that in previous years, the school had just done a composite of the students' school pictures, but this is a new PR person, and she insists upon doing it this way -- and wants it done ASAP so that it can be printed for Open House. DH got a call yesterday evening from the student's mom -- DH had not mentioned till then that the young man in question was the son of friends of ours -- apparently, he was agonizing over what to do, and she called to ask DH's input. She was also hoping that DH could talk her son out of his idea that his mom could pick him up at the camp, drive him in for the picture, and drive him back out, which she really didn't want to do -- DH agreed that it was a bad idea, not just because of the burden on her but because it meant that the boy would be gone for at least 2-1/2 hours, and by the time he returned, he would be sort of out of the loop, as it were. The young man is a Scout and will have the opportunity to go through the challenge course, though without the retreat aspect, another time, and he is one of the seniors leading a freshman retreat this Friday, so DH said he'd be better off not going on this retreat and focusing his energies on Friday. This young man is such a dear, and so responsible (it takes a certain amount of responsibility to become a National Merit qualifier as well as an Eagle Scout!), that it's easy to see why he was torn. It would have been nice for DH to have him on the retreat, but DH said this also takes the numbers from 13 to 12, which works better.

All right, I've clearly spent too long telling that story. I need to finish with those coupons and list and get to the store. Not sure if I will do lunch before or after. Be back when I'm back!
