*Happy Birthday, Sunny!*

dfriend got to my house before the Nanaimo bars were finished. An experienced chocolatier (though she wouldn't consider herself so -- her DMIL has been doing it way longer -- she made centerpieces for dfriend's wedding of white chocolate swans filled with chocolates), she told me that I had heated the chocolate too fast, and it had seized, and there was nothing I could do about it, so I just spread it on the best I could. I didn't win anything at bingo, but our table won a disproportionate share of the prizes. I think there were a dozen rounds of bingo and five door prizes, and five of the eight women at our table won something, and there were easily a hundred women there. At one point -- all in good fun -- the women at the neighboring tables threw their wadded-up sheets at us.

I never did get a chance to tell yesterday how I came to our group. After DD was born, I participated on a bulletin board for nursing mothers, and at one point FlyLady was mentioned. I checked her out and was pleased to find a link to P&P and the WebForums; I had gotten a copy of Happiness File some years before. I lurked quite a while before I posted, largely because I couldn't think of a screen name. I finally chose "MysteryWoman" b/c I thought who I was was a mystery to me. (I no longer feel that way, thank heavens, but I've come to enjoy being MysteryWoman!)

Wow! is all I can say about your card count, OKay! I've only got 24 cards, but many of them contain multiple tasks. I get overwhelmed easily when I have a lot of cards, and I'm so grateful to whoever it was who first mentioned putting multiple tasks on each.

Speaking of tasks, I should get going on a few.

Let's see what I can get done before BOTH. I'm going to try for:
• Morning prayer
• Make the bed
• Tidy the bathroom
• Open blinds/turn out lights
• Check today's calendar
• Clean up breakfast
Perhaps I'm being a bit ambitious, but I'm going to try!

I knew there was bound to be sunshine somewhere in the village today and hope it is Florida. :) Some is streaming through my window right now but I think it is mistaken and will have to leave soon, criticized by the beams who read the weather forecast more closely.

Hi to mamapiano - I think of you every time I see a Panera Bread!

I have multiple-chore cards, too, Mystery, pretty much from the "Organized From the Inside Out" 1992 plan from P and P, although I have personalized it (including using ideas from Nancy and blessed in Cardfile Central here). I don't know my count right now but 24 makes sense.

Twins' Mom and I came in this morning and had a lot to read for sure, didn't we? LOL

I don't really have any IRL friend that I would want to share you girls with.
I understand that. I don't want the ups and downs of a relationship I may have IRL to affect this place.

I have always thought you were mature, lucylee, responsible, and you have always been the first to acknowledge it if you are more anxious than necessary. But yes I have noticed that you have changed over the time I've known you. I think you accept yourself more and second-guess yourself less. You are very open to say, "this is how I feel", and then you tell us plainly. That works for you because you are fine with constructive criticism and ponder in a healthy way whatever feedback you get here. You say what you are working on in your life and if you miss a goal you show that to us and invite us to walk right up and look at it with you. There are times you get caught in a loop, I think, but it's because you put others before yourself and then can't get back to remembering that you are just as important as they are. As soon as I'm sure I've fixed that in myself I will come back and criticize you right away, so be ready. I'm still not so sure you should eat those iced biscuits just because someone puts them on a drive-through menu - that worries me.

"Really, how is eating a piece of cake bad? Being bad is murdering someone.
That's bad. Don't do that." --Sarah Michelle Gellar

The Morning Daily Card is done well. School run needed to be early and was, with all the bases touched. 15 Declutter was in our "front" bathroom. Extra Declutter already of the kitchen counter and my purse (coupons  ) I've had my first pint of water and am eating my apple breakfast.

Right now my ddad is eating his breakfast.

Up Next are outdoor chores.

Happy Birthday, Sunny

DH had a great night at the Lodge watching the game with guys instead of just me. I'm sorry I missed it as "MY BEARS" done good. Sorry scattered - just couldn't resist. It is has been so long since they did well.

It is a bit chilly here this morning but he sun is shining so my solar panels are pumping out electricity.

We will get going in an hour or so but I'm just going to surf a bit and wake up.

It is gray and overcast here, did drizzle earlier. The ground is wet. No precipitation is falling at the moment. . . Maybe these are the clouds heading your direction, Dee. . .

I found flylady through an article in Time? magazine. We were fairly new to MI; I remember dh being skeptical from the start (he still is) and you ladies encouraging me to make a difference in my home to counter his skepticism. During one of his travels, I organized all the bookshelves in our house - or maybe most; we have a lot of bookshelves. That may have been the same trip during which I hosted dd14's 5th (or 6th?) bday party by myself; I remember thinking of all the things I could report back to you about party prep, etc. I remember Twins ds used to play the piano when my ds was playing too. . . . .

I may get out my P and P book again!! Interesting; I find it more encouraging to have one task/card b/c then I can feel more virtuous, having completed more cards. That said, my a.m. routine is several tasks and that is on one card. I do remember Harriet talking about multiple tasks on one card.

Dh went for an 11 mile run this a.m. I decided not to join him; I'll go late this afternoon. I like that time b/c it also prevents me from afternoon snacking. I don't eat 2 hours before I jog. He has a swelling on his foot from all the running he's doing; the Dr. said to buy new running shoes, which dh did this weekend. Perhaps dh will need to go to a specialist but that's not clear -- he is not particularly throttling back his running so maybe he will.

There is nothing on my calendar today! Dd14's oboe lesson has been moved to Thursday, so literally nothing. :) Of course, there are things I need to do, but no meetings or errands for other people.

since dh got up with the girls, I slept in until 8:20, though I really didn't sleep much after everyone was up and about. I have s2socks, gathered laundry, and have a load running right now. I'm drinking tea and sipping water. . . .My WW goal this week is to drink enough water. I'm quite sure I walk around semi-dehydrated on a daily basis. My scale this morning said that I'm down another 0.5 lb, so I'm happy about that. My scale doesn't quite track with WW scale but the general direction is indicative.

I need a plan for the day:
-a.m. routine
-update li&ts in my notebook
-perhaps revamp my cards?
-groc. store
-library
-gas the van
-laundry: towels and dgirls' sheets
-Hebrew study
-bathrooms need attention
-perhaps work in ds' room
-jog - dh is suggesting I go long today, 3.5 miles. We'll see. . . .
-supper: jambalaya (leftover from last week), cornbread, salad or a fresh steamed veggie

I hope everyone's day is off to a great start!

TA-DA's
- Breakfast cooked and served.
- LO dressed, fed, hair combed/teeth brushed, backpack packed and delivered to school.Talked with 6 mothers.... several of LO classmates are sick. :(
- DH launched. The RO water system at MPB is not dispensing correct amount. DH feels a lot of pressure to get it fixed ASAP because of the # of people who depend on it for their drinking water supply.

Next up -
** Weekly folder home from school. It seems to take soo much time to read the announcements, go through the papers sent home, respond to the endless fund raisers....
** Home loving focus time slot

Happy Birthday Sunny!
Yea for a good nights sleep!
B.S. was #60  this morning so I had a cookie and fruit snacks so h. would not worry about me ~ no insulin today for breakfast.
I do better with a plan today I have a plan ~ see last nights post granny duty store run etc.

It's trash day here h. is doing that now.

54*-75* today's temp. range w/ a chance of frost the rest of the week here glad I picked the tomatoes. 1st frost is late this year no one is complaining about that however. Probably won't be any frost here.

No chicks today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUNNY!

We are home. Had a great trip but glad to be home. The jury is still out whether I have a cold or if it is allergies. Whatever it is I am miserable.

I have to mow today and buy groceries. I will try to cuop as I have time.

Very saddened to lose 2 classmates on the weekend of our class reunion. That is very sobering.

Nancy - Thank you! Looking forward to how the egg incubation turns out.

Lilac - Welcome Home! ((((Gentle Hugs))))

I feel like I'm on easy street. No decision to be made.....just do the next card. My thoughts are free to roam to whatever I want..... as I just do the next card. I feel addicted to this instant feedback to good feeling of accomplishment. :)
