Here I go (again). Got an email from Med Co that my new prescription for Metformin is unable to be processed -insurance company won't cover it. I'm fairly sure it went through as Glumetza (the brand name) instead of metformin. Now I'm waiting for a call from the Dr's office to see if we can straighten it out on their end. I'm pretty sure this is the case because the script I picked up at W greens was for the Glumetza. Horrors if we're back to the ol' switched insurance numbers! I've been trying, quite unsucessfully, to call Med Co -always get a busy signal- to see what they have on their end.
REally want to head out shopping but my tummy is quite unsettled and have a case of diarrhea. Not sure if I'm still feeling a little punky from the flu shot or if it's the new med. And if the med is causing my tummy to be quite 'off'.
Have accomplished nothing except re-making our bed so far today. Feel like I'm in limbo waiting for the car to start being packed. Have to leave room for dgds on Sunday evening.
Guess I'll get a day-by-day l&&t done -so I know what I HAVE to accomplish on each remaining day. Have 3 more days after today. Guess I need to include today. DH needs the car later today so really need to get my shopping done fairly early.
Going to try to be somewhat productive in the next 1/2 hour>>>>>>>>>>>

Dd32's family arrives this evening. A lot going on in our lives in general. Wednesday just had to be it for the other house - I simply don't have time even if I have to send lightbulbs and say change them yourselves. That one corner that just needed the long swiffer handle to be rid of bunnies is going to worry me.
Big declutters cleanings in bathrooms and kitchen here. Dusting half, so far, of the livng/dining. Hall vacuumed, stairs vacuumed.
Ran out of swiffer wet cloths and used doubled paper towels in water and a little lysol in the front bathroom - sure is a reason you don't want to do that, they caught constantly with the friction of the paper towels on the vinyl. But it's clean.
I've just S2Sed, HRH wants to scrape the other driveway this afternoon. Dd14 needs to continue organizing in her room and generally neatening. A grocery run MUST happen and it will be big. I want to change out one more quilt if I can and have enough help (hanging). I've barely eaten (well, Atkins shake) so should think about lunch.
Oh, the catalog order came and it's awful - back as soon as I get a chance. The disappointed half of the "reviews" were right they changed the fabric and the cut both. I was willing to deal with the fabric but can't deal with both.
Happy birthday to helia's dd17!
Happy anniversary to the atlantic flyers!
And to think it was Apron Day yesterday and I missed getting here!
Ivy, I get the most done in my blue full apron with yellow flowers. Looks good and has perfect pockets. But it has stiff competition here because I have many good aprons.

I love Harriet's aprons!
even if I have to send lightbulbs and say change them yourselves
I am sure your dd/dsil will not think ill of you if they have to change their own lightbulbs! DD32 would probably rather you didn't try to do 1/2 of what you're doing over there for them to stay. You constantly amaze me at all you have on your plate.
Feel like I'm sitting in limbo, waiting for the Dr's office to call. Don't want to be on the road when she calls back. Number 1 -I couldn't talk on the phone & drive anyway and #2 -NY has a $250 fine if caught with a cell phone on the road.
Time to really think about finding some lunch. Those findings are getting harder and harder as I try to reduce what's left here. Plus my appetite is still not very good. Had a Greek yogurt for breakfast and just had a slice of cheddar cheese. Maybe I can down 1/2 a turkey sandwich. Know a whole is beyond me right now. Do know I'm going to have to pick up some healthy snacks. My mind is blank. Know Indiana left us a list of those -just have to go check it out.

I'm still here. I realized that if I left earlier for the library, I would be interrupting their morning story time with the littles, which already includes enough confusion.

Currently the story time includes a couple of seasonal stories, 2 or 3 special songs with actions/dances, and then a coloring or super simple craft project. I love the mix of books, physical activity, and creative imagination.
Harriet ~ Thanks for the reminder of Ivy's question. I have several aprons and no one particular favorite. Yesterday I tried a new coverall style with crossover back, the one I finished sewing at the last sewing retreat. I was afraid it would be constricting, but it was really comfortable. Very protective, too, so I'll be keeping an eye out for fabric to make another one.
I love the 1940s-1950s type of half aprons, they're so pretty. Unfortunately, I don't find them very practical for cooking or washing dishes. I guess I usually grab a full apron, of which I'm expanding my collection of different styles.
I really don't like shopping for clothes. The aprons help keep me out of the stores.
(Harriet) Sorry your catalog order failed, what a bummer. I agree with Dee, I'm sure your DD32 and her DH are happy enough to have such a convenient place to stay, they won't mind sweeping the floor or changing a light bulb. She probably regrets that she can't help you more with elder care for your DDad.
OK, I'm going to s2s and zoom out the door. Well, really it will be more of a stroll out the door, I don't zoom much of anywhere ... but in any case I'll be out of this chair!

Uninspiring day all around here. Weight was up by 2.3 lbs.! Sheesh. I knew it would be up a little, but I didn't think I'd eaten THAT much.
Maybe it is a temporary water gain or something. . .Our sunny warm weather has been replaced by cooler temps, gray skies, and some rain earlier today. We're still waiting on a return call from the pedi. re: dd17 and meds. My day is dissolving in front of my eyes. It is noon. I have just finished some lunch.
I got back from errands (WW, library, groc. store) about 45 minutes ago, unloaded and put away groceries, checked in w/ dh on where things are with the Dr. phone call (I'm with you on this, Dee!), took care of a couple emails, and had some lunch. If I want to jog today, I need to do it around 1:45 pm b/c I need to leave around 2:45 to pick up dd14 to get her to her pedi. appt. Afterward, I may have a good hour at home before I need to head out to drive dd17 to the church and back. Then, if I join dh and dd14 at Mary Poppins (Broadway show! In Detroit. . .), we'd need to leave immediately after I got home from driving dd17 to go grab some dinner and then get to the theater on time. That translates into 1.5 hours now and maybe 1 hour after dd14's appt. to work in the house. I'm amazed at how my days manage to get so chopped up.
Well, I'd best use that 1.5 hours the best I can. I'm going to start lol and get the a.m. routine done.

Have had my first phone conversation with Dr's office. She's going to start by calling the pharmacy ( W greens) to see why they filled prescription with a brand name instead of generic. Her 'guess' is that the insurance probably denied script at Med Co because they'd just approved the 30-day at W greens. BUT it still should all be filled as metformin, not Glumetza. Her next step was to fax Med Co with a note about what's happening. I'm good with them not filling it for a couple of weeks -but sure don't want it filled with name brand (which I would be responsible for full payment). Now I'm still in state of limbo (as far as going out) because medical secretary is supposed to call me back.
Did get the deck fridge emptied and defrosted. Now it's just air drying inside so dh can cover it later. He wants to get as much done as he can today as the weather will start nose-diving after today. Have the screen open right now. Think so I at least get something done, I'll heat water for dishes and get that done.

Dee, they know that I do what I do for little britches more than anyone else. He is still too little to know not to touch every surface and then probably right into his mouth with things that are not toys! I am amused every time I charge my cellphone, because you see which way to turn the plug-in by looking at the markings on only one side. But at some point little britches added toothed-in markings on the other side as well, so now I have to look carefully to figure it out!
BookSaver, I agree with you completely that full aprons are the very thing. Cross-in-back is great and so is "H" back. Today I'm in the "H" back I rescued at auction (and some here may remember I had to wash well to get the odors out of), that reminds me so much of my grandmother because it's the 50s black white red color scheme. I do like "bib" aprons (that's actually what my blue-with-yellow-flowers one is, made with full-length front panel) but some bother my neck and don't get used as much. (I think the bib aprons with full-length front panels do a little better - it seems to be the waistband on others that doesn't "give", so causes tugging at the neck. Half aprons are wonderful (and your mention of styles of those made me think of a lavender colored one with green baby rick-rack I'd love to show you), but, yes, I will invariably think to myself they are not covering as much.
helia, you can lose 2 pounds in a few days. No problem. That's not a gain, it's a fluctuation. Mary Poppins is a great story, heartwarming, inspiring.
My ddad has decided to take a nap, so this will be prime housecleaning time until the school run. Poof

Scattered, I'm glad it's FINALLY Friday, too!
Have a GR8 trip away this weekend, too, and enjoy yourself.
OKay, Good luck on your mammogram repeat. I'm glad LO will get some pants to fit him. Kids lose weight so easily when sick.
Kathryn, Good luck on your schedule today, too!
Helia, Kids keep parents really busy with appt.'s! I remember! Happy b-day to DD17, too! So sorry about your weight! I'm up a about 2.8 Lbs. myself! I've been stress eating and eating desserts.
Blessed, Hello to you, too! Have a great day and you're so busy!
Dee, My DH said that 63 is really low for BS. He's diabetic, too, and on a drug study. I hope you get your BS up soon and feel better the rest of the day, too. And that your medication, pharmacy, insurance co., and dr. situation can be resolved soon for you.
Twins' Mom, Isn't it nice to get in a few extra winks of sleep in the morning? I did that this a.m., too.
Harriet, Enjoy your DD32's family when they arrive. Sounds fun. Aprons are fun. I have a bright red one, a khaki one, and 2 striped ones and the grapes one. That's funny about little britches and the phone plug in markings. Longer cover-up aprons are more sensible because you have more protection from dirt and food. Which reminds me....
While Dmil was alive, she ate in her recliner, spilled on her model's coats, so I sewed up 6 large flannel adult bibs. When she passed away, I inherited them, so when we have spaghetti, etc... I wear them. I'm so scared company will ring the doorbell, unexpected company, and find me in my bib!
Booksaver, Hello to you, too! You're having a busy day! I love books, too. Aren't they wonderful? Your aprons sound wonderful. I think the ones that tie around the waist leave the upper body open to getting dirty! They're so pretty though!
Cowinkie, I'm so glad you're feeling better now, too.
I have workshop notes to read from 2 classes, some short story samples, and a syllabus today.
Ta Da so far:
Read my devotion, prayed, wrote in my journal.
Cleaned the main bathroom and kitchen counters. (DH's friend's coming.)
Washed jeans
Finished reading a used book from DD on writing. Very good book!
Printed the workshop notes on the new printer, and printed a crocheted airplane pattern, too. It was fun to take the wireless printer out for a "test run".
Shampooed, dressed, and had my coffee.
I forgot to write a to do list last night, so I'll run and do that this morning, too. But I made email calendar reminders, so I know what I need to do, in case I forget to write the to do list. If that makes sense and also, I've got my 4 x 6" index cards control folder cards routines to go by, too. So if the list doesn't get done, I'll follow my routines on my cards.

I may just have to get myself an apron one of these days! They always sound so inspiring. I do wear a fuzzy fleece jacket in the house, but that is usually b/c I am cold; I tend to run cold.
I've decided to punt the jog until after dd14's appt. That should work. . . Dd17 needs to be at the church by 6 pm. I may let her drive herself.
I have filled out some paperwork, emptied the dish drainer and dw, fed dPepper (dd17 forgot to do that this morning), and fed/medicated Lily. Her tail is looking much better! The wound is healing well.
Funny thing: Dh took the opportunity of nice weather yesterday to paint the chicken coop. So, they were locked inside for about 24 hours - with food and water. Well, this a.m. when dh finally let them out, he said they refused to come out. He had to grab them and forcibly remove them from the coop and close the door to keep them from running back inside. I guess they didn't approve of the new paint color, a reddish brown, kind of a rusty color. LOL!
I guess chickens are not color blind? Or, maybe their coop smells like paint?

This is an apron household. At one point I realized I could buy aprons as souvenirs and have something useful as well, so I have three (blue nautical from our river cruise, red from Denmark - we needed one since we had an apartment and were cooking there, and an ivory one from the Azores for when I want to dress up a bit!) Plus my LLL one (when I volunteered at a national conference) and the one I made dh when he wanted an apron to protect his business clothes when he came home and still had to cook supper for me since I was busy with the kids all day.
I got the upstairs chores done but not much else. I'm going to go outside and start in on the gardens for as long as my back lasts. It is coming and going.
