Good Morning!
I've been mostly on schedule this morning. I noticed that dailies are becoming quicker. The decluttering/deep cleaning that occurs in rotating focus areas are really making a difference in how quickly the daily chores can be done.
Blessed - what is your DD playing at school?

Re: Wrought Wednesday
Blessed, your DD is young to have back problems like that. Too bad, DH had those too and I know how very painful that can be. He couldn't stand up straight.
I've been insanely busy, getting caught up, and have cuop.
Well, yesterday was one day I wouldn't want to repeat. Ever. DH wanted lunch up at jobsite and a 10 min. chore took an hour in awful road work traffic. I've never been in traffic so bad. Then on the way back I got the "go for equipment at rental place call" which I did, and as it was loaded got the call to cancel as his own was fixed; then as I'm halfway up through town got the call, go back and get equipment as his quit working. When I finally got it to jobsite, his was working again and the problem finally identified.
I sat there until they were done for the day .. just in case...
Last night after dinner and dishes I attempted to get caught up with paperwork, important stuff...
This AM got up really early to return rental equipment, but DH had gone down with it for me...
Took DH to pick up a truck he'd left . Did all my chores in town, trip to bank to pay mortgage, bank to deposit check, other bank to deposit cash rent paid, tax collector to pay all the property taxes, Sa ms to get DH's back/joint liquid; and stop at appliance place to pickup dishwasher part for other house (on backorder). Customer met me back home with her 2 checks so I'm back to the bank in a few minutes.
Happy to be getting all this caught up finally, bills paid, etc. Members meeting at church tonight, I'm a little apprehensive, DH intends to stand up and ask several questions...
I'm really needing a nap but afraid I'll wake worse than I feel now...maybe a little sleep after my last trip out...set a timer...cross my fingers I'll feel ok.

Re: Wrought Wednesday
Morning Y'all...Its still morning in my part of the village.
Yesterday I did my house blessing and then did my t-day grocery shopping. Ugh...only tue and wally world was crazy. I'm staying out of there as much as I can until the first of the year. I still have my turkey to buy and a few things that I want to cook fresh, but there is a grocery store up the road from me and I will get them there at the beginning of the week.
I'm not sure if I am feeding 3 or 6 people on T-dayl.... no matter what it will be small and if I'm gonna cook for 3 adding 3 more won't make a hill of beans. I'm keeping it very simple..turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, fresh green beans and 5 cup salad. I'll make a pumpkin pie and be done with it...oh forgot gravy and cranberry sauce. Easy peasy for me.
My son will be here so I need to make sure I have ham for sandwiches as well as the turkey. I'll make a few cookies..I use the ones that come in a pouch...after T-day. They're easy to do. Just add butter, eggs and water to the mix, stir, drop and cook. Makes 2 dozen or so depending on the size of the cookie. After Sweetie and my son inhale them, I'll make some more. They're good and easy and makes me look like a baker. Love it.
Willis has been promoted from assistant to director. Sweetie has a chair in his garage and Willis has discovered it. Now he comes into the garage, jumps up on the chair seat and just observes Sweeties work. When Mr. Guy comes, he's gonna have to fight Willis for a seat.
My mom's bank was flooded and destroyed by the storm. Her safety deposit box was submerged and the contents were destroyed. She went to what was left of the bank to get what was in there. The clerk had on latex gloves. Someone had to drill the lock because it was rusted from the salt water. Once opened, the clerk put my mom's documents into zip locked bags and told my mom to go home and put it in the freezer for a while before she tried to dry them out. Not sure why, but I think its to kill the bacteria. The water was contaminated and therefore so were my mom documents. I've been on line researching how to do this....anyone got any ideas???
No plans today except to hang around the house. I need to figure out if there is anything I need to do to get ready next week besides the obvious. Cy'all later..............

Re: Wrought Wednesday
Back from the dr. The reason I didn't hear from the nurse was because my micro albion (not sure of spelling) was really high. It tells of your kidney function. They wanted to talk to me before doing anything. I told them that I suspected kidney stones because the bleeding and pain had quit. They said it made sense then that the micro albion was so high if it was kidney stones. There were white blood cells in the urine sample so he wants me on an antibiotic for it. I asked to have it rechecked so that we will know it is for sure gone. I thought they could also check the micro albion levels with a UA, but dd1 told me it is from blood. Dr. didn't mention bloodwork then, but maybe they will do it. I don't go back for 4 months. I am determined to get tighter control of my BS, so that I can bring that A1C # down.
I better go. I have 2 errands to run and a hair appt. at 2.

Cowinkie: freezers are dry so it is a way of drying out the documents without allowing the bacteria to grow (think about how ice cubes shrink in the freezer - they are drying out and evaporating.) So sorry that your mom has lost documents. My safety deposit box holds a lot of our prints and photos from when the kids were small in case anything happened to the house. Can't imagine what it would be to have both the house and the box contents wiped out in a disaster.
Slow start to the day. Did my workout, volunteering and now have had lunch. I'm off to bed because I'm exhausted. Hope to reboot my day and my week when I wake up. Poor dh has missed out on his ribs tonight because I haven't looked at a calendar since Saturday and didn't realize we were to have them tonight and start them before heading off.

Re: Wrought Wednesday
Hello dear ladies,
Another cold start followed by sunny day.
Didn't walk today, did my weights and exercise. Have upped my weights now to 15 lbs. Checked the scales today and have lost a total of........15 lbs.
Feels like I have lost a size of clothing but want to hold off a bit before buying anything new. Have just moved my belt up a notch to hold up my work pants.
Got most of the dailies done. Whittled away again on the weeklies. Down to 6 on my weeklies. Don't know if I'll get all done tomorrow, but it's okay I have made progress this week. Who know what next week might bring.
Want to do a bit of reading today. One dear friend has loaned me a Mark Twain book that I haven't read before. Need to set aside time to read it so I can get it back to her.
Then off to work for the evening.
Great day to all!

Re: Wrought Wednesday
Hi everyone! Well, last night did not go as planned. It was Girls' Night Out, but DD10 got in trouble for not listening to a teacher on the bus, so we didn't do Chuck E Cheese. She put up such a fuss about that, that we didn't do Chinese food either. I got treated to about 40 minutes of screaming, fun, fun. I eventually got her fed and calmed down and we finished her homework. I did get the place picked up for the maids, unclogged the bathtub, picked up prescription, and went to grocery store.
Today at unpaid payroll, I will be reading more stuff. I have a long list of stuff to do, which I won't bore you with. The most important things are get the minutes done for a meeting tonight. Tomorrow, DD wants me to eat lunch with her, so I need to find out when that is.
