Happy Sunday, all!

DH and I are resting before we go out and do our final leaf raking of the season. As with swimming, I told him we should wait an hour after eating to go out there...don't want to get a cramp! I know that's not true, but it is a way to procrastinate!

Church was good. Several people claimed to feel achy and bad, though, so I'm glad I had my flu shot! A cell phone rang 6 times during the altar call. The person then called back and it rang 2 more times, then the voicemail chime sounded.

DH surprised me this morning by showing me how to tie a scarf that I was wearing over my dress. He used to work for a French company and showed me how the French women (and men) wore their scarves! He was really paying attention to that!!
The scarf did look much better!

Hi y'all..

Today is Easy No Rush Sunday for me. I need to make a grocery store run for about 10 items. The store is small and I want to get that out of my way. Then I will be totally ready for T-day.

I have feed the dogs and picked up my footprints. The house is in great shape except for dust so I will quickly do my house blessing either today or tomorrow. There will only be 3 of us so there will barely be much stress for me.

We had a great time at the car show yesterday. We had cloud coverage for most of the day. The helped to keep the heat down. Its been in the low 80's and I got a bit of a sunburn while working on my flowers on Friday. It was a bit cooler yesterday which made an all day outdoor event much more enjoyable. Lots of walking as there were at least 2600 cars. Plus there were venders both inside a huge covered event arena and out on the grounds. Can home about dark, feed doggies, feed us, and Sweetie do a few things and then walked doggies a mile or so after 9 last night.

I didn't go to bed till 11 and for me that is late. For Lucy it means her evening is just beginning and Lynlee is up and at them' ;)

A Very Merry Birthday to you Scattered.. ..Enjoy the celebration with your family and friends.
Looks like MT is enjoying my weather as well.
Yeah for thank you notes and baby christenings Lucylee
Twins, did we win last night??? Vandy right??
Blessed...what a visual. Did it work :D

Waving to y'all....cya later........

Hi all. Been too busy to get here, but I'm taking a break right now.

Friday was so busy and I got most of my stuff done, not all though. Fri evening I went to pick up some groceries I needed, and thought I'd walk through the toy aisles and just look around. Two hours later I headed back to grocery section. I'm doing Christmas on the fly this year!

Made 3 dz. deviled eggs for the Sat. funeral. The memorial luncheon we assembled was very very nice. When the family comes in from the church service, they see the nice spread we put out and all the tables set nicely, candles, lights fixed...and each time I can read the gratitude in their faces. THIS is the work of the church. It's a lot of work, but this time there were five of us and it actually was fun. Told DH I wasn't cooking the rest of the day, I'd had enough kitchen time.

I've been sewing like crazy to get this gift done... came home from church and got kitchen cleaned up and started in again. It is very close to coming out of the quilt rack. There is so much for me to do this coming week, I'm a little overwhelmed, but somehow I will get it done.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCATTERED!

Yesterday we went to the thrift shops looking for TV's w/ out success and then we got a burger. Got some feed for the chickens 50% rolled oats 50% rolled wheat mixture. After that it was off to the gun & antique Christmas craft show at the fair grounds yesterday. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I found a western "Rough Riders" mini series DVD for $1.oo so we watched that last night with Sam Elliot in it.

Today we made it to church after I made omelettes and chili in the crock pot for lunch I wanted to know if I could assemble it before for a pot luck so now I know I can! The house smells great!
