Whoa! I see Cowinkie on here too. Just thought I would check in now that we are in AJ. AZ. We had a great time Saturday wih Cowinkie and Sweetie and then Mr.Guy promptly got sick with a bad cold. He hardly ever gets them. Just hope C & S weren't infected. I am escaping it so far. It kind of set us back a bit as to what we wanted to do. Oh well, we only have 4months to get everything done!

Think we will venture out today to get a few things at Wally World. I got the tree up and the place somewhat decorated. I just use what I can find around the house and get poinsettas. Each year I bring a group of my favorite ornaments - this year all my Bears, last year it was Hallmark collections of M/M Santa Claus and the Rocking Horses. It is decorating on the cheap and suits me. Mr. Guy doesn't really care so we are fine.

Good Day for all.! :D

Wildness is a creeper and has gotten inside here today I need to pay attn. to the upstairs ack it's time to get moving.

I'm up took a.m. meds, s2s is done, chicken chores done, I've made coffee, journaling done.

I need to just do something.
Got the tree up last night but today thinking I need to move it
sigh oh well! Maybe dgson will help me with that.

It's time to let chickens out, 8-) we have sun here this morning and had some wind in the night I was up several times, ear/sinus acting up one of those rare nights when I woke up not feeling so rested.

Looking forward to Duck Dynasty Christmas show. I did not like that show at first and refused to watch the first season then caught some of it when h. was watching it and laughed. I only watch a.m. pickers occasionally but h. came home saying we needed to watch it b/c it was local and some one from work knew someone who was going to be on it. I already knew it was a local one from our local news and had planned to see it.

Was trying to cuop here and I heard a big roar of thunder, and I thought, "oh my gosh we're going to have a storm" as it is grey outside..and began to worry about what DH was doing outside at job... and then the door rang and I asked the gentleman there, is it going to storm... and he pointed to his Harley sitting in the drive. He actually showed me his exhaust pipe called "thunder something" and I heard the storm on his way out.

Ellyphant, I don't know about the Duck show any more. I still enjoy it, but that last episode was more raunchy than their previous ones. I mentioned it to DD because the DGBoys watch it, and she agreed and was a little annoyed. So, hopefully it won't continue to go down that path where so many other good shows go.

Glad to read Harriet's report of the Hoarder update. That was distressing to hear that lady had backslid so badly. I'm glad it wasn't true. Wasn't the one about the cats sad? I don't like the ones about pets.

Something is now climbing up the fence into the garden and bending it over. DH thinks a raccoon. :(

Kathryn, glad your enzymes are back to normal. Hope DSon recovers too. How's FS?

Yay, Elizabeth has paid work! Need some more of that!
Dee, what's wrong with your wrist? Helia how are you today?

I hate that stagecoach bank. They marketed us to death when we were there. Always trying to sell us stuff. Gave us a long lecture about how great they are to work for...when we were closing our account...at that time we could have cared less. No concern for us or our business at all.

Yesterday was Deaconess meeting and I dropped papers at friend's house on the way and got huge load of groceries on the way back from meeting. Good use of gasoline $ and time I'd say, but I was worn out after all that. DH is out working today for a change and I've been sewing. Just keeping all the plates spinning!

There I have s2s! And eaten my breakfast cereal (for lunch since I had a lot of other things for breakfast.)

Two of my smaller Christmas boxes have now been dealt with. I have two more small boxes and then 5 large boxes. One of those is an 'easy' one, since it has blankets and throw pillows.

<Added later>

Dh and I walked to the store for the mail. It was a brisk walk because it's back to freezing and snow swirled around us (but doesn't appear to be landing on the ground!) Picked up stamps for my senior friend and mailed the last of the cards that dh did for me. The rest are my responsibility.

Am waiting to return a call to my music friend (her line is busy) and then I'll rest. I'm starting to get very tired and my body is aching a bit so it is time to take a break from my puttering around.

(The foyer looked much better when we walked into it and the living room looks good too. Kitchen and dining room - not so much. There are papers everywhere.)

Just back from a 5 hour retreat with 2 friends from moms group. It was a really good time at another dfriend's home in the country, a beautiful restful setting.

I am feeling better today, though I haven't ventured further than saltines and applesauce and a bagel this morning in terms of nutritional choices.

I did get the cookies made last night, and dd17 said she got them to the correct drop off spot at school this morning.

It is chilly here, but clear and sunny, a beautiful day! The next few days are supposed to be a bit warmer.

Girls are home. They had early release today (1 hour early for hs-ers) for some reason, which no one seems to know. . . .

Next for me is finishing the a.m. routine.

Later: Dd14 has synchro. swim 5:30 - 7:30, and I'll be her chauffeur for that. Then, we're scheduled to have our date night tonight. After Monday night, I'm not thrilled about going out to eat again, but I think I may have been sick - not poisoned. Still. . . .

Good Afternoon, Villagers! :D

I slept about 9 1/2 hours straight through the night without waking once! :!: Truthfully- I'm STUNNED!

My TA DA:
- Novena, Prayers, journal
- Shampoo, dress
- Put out hot spots
- Did a short story re-write and sent it off
- Put Splenda in a little bowl in the appliance garage where we keep coffee, chocolate and tea things.
- Put dirty laundry in the basket.
- Turned on seasonal music

My TO DO:
- to record my deposit in my financial records from my employer for work.
- to hang up clothes
- to crochet baby preemie girl clothes
- to have lunch, supps, and rest
- sort mail and write letters
- to read on books and/or magazines
- to put away groceries when DH returns

Helia, Your 5-hour retreat sounds awesome! :D And beautiful, too! I'm glad you're better, too!

Kathryn, It's nice you got a walk in. It's nice you help your senior friend out, too. :D Hope your music friend and you get in touch with each other soon, too.

Harmony, Thunder? Was the exhaust pipe the thunder? That's funny!

Nancy, It's nice you let the chickens out, too. :D Don't they make for healthier eggs that way? :?:

Norma, I hope you made it to Wally World. You're lucky about the poinsettias. My cat eats plants!

Oh, I have this off-white silk flower poinsettia with green leaves and glitter and it's so beautiful. I leave it on the china cabinet year-round in the main entry hall.

Scattered, You're so busy! I'll look at J & C, too.

Harriet, Sometimes back fellows need an earful of opinions! :!:

Twins' Mom, I hope your dmom's dr. appt. goes well.

Lynlee, You sound productive today.

(((Dee))) and (((OKay))).

It's nearly time for lunch. I need to try and get my To Do's done today.

Happy Wonderful Wednesday Afternoon, Everyone!

Happy anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition! Last night was Girls' Night Out and we ate Chinese, went to the library, then went to Chuck E Cheese. Unfortunately, DD10 found a toy she wanted there and didn't have enough tickets. I am in cheapskate mode and did not want to buy it for her and she got very upset. The last time I had her save up for a toy there, by the time she had enough money and tickets, the toy was no longer available. After she left, I decluttered for the maids today, only to realize this morning that they come next week!

I could eat at church tonight and go to Bible study, but I have a lot of things I want to get done: get two gifts, get some office supplies, LOLs, look through and possibly declutter some cookbooks, and work with the foster cat who is living in my sewing room closet. Oh and the usual, shower and cat care. I need to decide about church, part of me wants to go and the other part says 'too much to do'

Our chickens do not produce eggs they just eat bugs and scraps for us [and their feed of course too.] H. did not want to pay for the power to run a light out to the chicken pen. No light in chicken pen + shorter days = no eggs!

Speaking of eggs I boiled some for lunches.
H. left a message he will be late tonight.
Dgson is doing his reading homework {outloud} now.
I made the bed
did the rest of my walk.

sorry dharriet you had to go through that with the bank.
dokay - its such a nice feeling for you to come home and feeling the home in your front hall.
hello to all.

The floors look much better but I really wanted more to be done. I will talk to the man tomorrow. dd younger and I couldn't stay one more minute in the room at my d mom's complex. It's a lovely room but it was so confining. It still smells of varnish a bit but it's dry so dd younger and I said we are going home and dh doesn't know bt we picked up the dogs. we are Home!!! dh is enjoying every minute at he complex in quiet and to tell the truth I am enjoying a night away from dh and I know he is loving every minute too. He has been getting on my nerves and visa versa so this is a good thing for one night.

Nancy, I obviously don't understand chickens, but why don't yours lay eggs?

bw2, no apologies, I totally know what you mean about needing a break now and then.

I posted about meeting in J&C re: dsis. After meeting I went to cleaners, drugstore and grocery, and picked up grocery store sushi for supper. I still need to walk the ddogs, who are waiting patiently for a change.

DH is out this evening....so I get to read and have quiet time. I let the Exec Dir know I will likely miss meeting tomorrow at 5:30 because I need downtime. So far nothing on calendar for Friday except for my office's Christmas party, which should be fun, actually. I think that I've been employed there for 10 years, which should mean recognition at holiday party and a very nice cash bonus.
