it's hard for our parents to let go dscattered - I find it comes from a place of worry and sometimes for my dmom something that makes her look better and I no longer take it personally. it is really important to know it is your life and living your life is more important than living the life someone else thinks you should have. ((()))) I understand.
dmom is wanting me to go to d aunts house for Christmas day and is angry I am not going but it is her family and my dd's are home for Christmas day and want to go to d in laws. I will work to get together with my extended cousins this summer.
I lost my temper big time with dh (I do not like the person I have been the last couple days) - I was really angry when he decided to lift a very heavy piece of furniture with my help because he wants the tv to be set up. once he is focused thats it. things dropped, it was really heavy and I felt very angry so I went for a drive. I like a quiet nature but boy I have not been a very nice person this last week.
breathing in and letting go. dh wants everything back in place but I would like everything to stay in the three season room after the furniture is moved tomorrow. I want to set up for Christmas and dejunk as I go.

(((Blessed))) Just to be clear, he lifted it with your help and things fell, or things fell because he lifted it without your help?
Either way, I understand your frustration. You know you can't control your dh but you can control your reaction to him and you don't like your reaction right now.
I'm not sure how old you are (I've always pegged you as younger than me) but don't forget you are changing too as your hormones change in your body. If that is the case, that may be the reason you are not responding the way you usually do.
Not that it makes the situation better, but sometimes it helps to understand why we are so 'out of control' of our emotions. Your dh has been through a lot, and you have too. Be gentle on yourself.

I know, d kathryn... he was moving it no matter if I helped or not. he was pushing and pulling it and it was so heavy. Right now when he has something in his mind he can't see that he could get hurt no matter what one says. Not sure what's going on but I think for temporary it is the new normal. lol though you are right

I needed a little perspective on who I am right now too. lol - you have helped me adjust my attitude. Thank you!!!
He has it in his mind to get certain things together which I understand,

{{{
Blessed}}} been there done that with the bull in a china shop experience! I don't think men in general ever get or understand the moving furniture to clean under it thing or rotation during seasonal changes.
{{{
Scattered}}} been there I used to swear like a sailor until I prayed one time and it was like God was scraping flames or something hanging off my tongue and I've not had the problem so much after that.
Hoping this is a blessing in disguise with new opportunities for you.
{{{
Lo & all concerned}}} Trying to look at the positive in this maybe having things as they are for the holidays is best and it will be less stressful after the holiday season is over.
Granny duty has begun.
Dgson is trying to get a plan so he remembers to bring his homework home in his bag he uses three different areas in the class room and it is not good for him as far as remembering the various subjects.

At least he likes coming here after school and has remembered the bus for our house!

blessed, you need to get some S uper S liders. They sell them at W almart usually around the home improvement type things. I have some and I managed to turn our bed 90 degrees by myself. Our bed has a headboard plus a footboard. Then I lifted each corner of my heavy filled cedar chest and put sliders under them. I was able to move it across the room. I wanted to move the triple dresser and removed all the drawers. Tried to lift a corner and no go. It has an attached mirror. So dh lifted and I slid in the sliders. I think they cost less than $10.00. You can also use them to move appliances.

Hi y'all
Geesh scattered... Hugs to you. It's hard to imagine having to tell some you were fired for swearing. I keep trying to give up swearing every new years... Hasn't happened completely but I am getting better. Never swore in the classroom but felt like it many times.
Got back from dr appointment. I like her!!! I will have a MRI done, I expected that plus she gave meds for my headaches. I know by her questions and examinations she's on the hunt for something. Don't know what but I can't worry about it till the tests come back. Meds my old insurance wouldn't covered is covered by my new insurance. That makes me really happy.
For some reason I am really tired today.... Gonna fed doggies and then eat some protein....be back later

Lilac, that's a great suggestion.
Cowinkie, glad you had a positive dr's appt!
blessed, I do think you did right to move away from the situation, but I don't think you should just drop it forever. When things have calmed down, could you recall the incident to him and say how it made you feel? I'm not really worried about your well being so much - I figure you're fine
- but I think he could use some perspective if he's handling situations in ways that don't seem "like himself". Surely he sees that a highly unusual reaction came from you and there must be a reason.
helia, have a meal with the Advil.
Agreeing with Nancy that the new opportunities could be very positive, like possibly starting school with the January calendar, scattered. I don't know about the idea of "getting it all out of your system" before New Years. LOL, seems like that might work the other way and you'd be better off practicing for your resolution.
Time for school pick-up. BBL

Forgot something...
Okay I'm sorry about your delay. Just so you know you're not alone; a friend of mine lives in your state.her situation is similiar. She has been fighting for guardianship for almost 4 years. Shes had to deal with delay after delay after delay... New judges, new lawyers etc. From what she tells me your state moves very slow. I was hoping your case would be different. Hers is still not resolved yet. I know it must be so frustrating for you. Hugs...
