Ugh, my desired curriculum is not eligible for Financial Aid! I have had to adjust my school plans to find a program that will be eligible, so now I will be concentrating on computer classes while slipping in a course or two here and there to fill out my per-requisites for transfer to a four year program. This is not a total loss since my eventual degree will be a MSN-Informatics (Masters in Nursing with an emphasis on IT) so the computer classes & Certificate will fill out my resume.

I have sent out another resume to a different Nursing Agency. Just remembered that I promised to send my transcripts to my Advisor at the Nursing School, need to find them and scan them so I can send them to her. Then I will start the long process of waking up DS20.

Toss a handfull of them in bed with sleepy heads and the marbles will do a good quick job of waking them up and forcing them to get up.
I don't remember having to use this very often when older DGS's lived with us.....it was quite effective for them to just know that I would.

rough day here so I have to turn it around. dh made decisions about a hoosier cabinet I had for a long time in the kitchen that it wasn't going back. He doesn't use the kitchen and makes comments that the house should always be painted white. He has gotten very particular about the front room and dining room so I am now out of doing stuff in there as he has his mind on which way to go. I am the only woman I know that can't decorate as dh hates change. When he was working and I put up the decorations etc. in there with dmom's help and dh loved it but that was 13 years ago and times have changed and the room needs love. dh wants it to stay exactly the same no changes except maybe one day redoing the couch as it is getting bad. He also didn't want the floor sanded but likes it now. I told him I want to do what I want in the kitchen and the family room as rest the house is his now. He said okay but I know when I paint in the family room that he will make a comment - not mean but the "oh".

I wish he was back at work or doing some sort of hobby with other men but I am happy he is okay.

I had a good sleep. DH brought my coffee to me. Then gave me my morning kiss when he set my cup down on the crocheted CD coaster. He's watching a baseball news show right now. The teams are trading players, buying new contracts, etc... He loves baseball. It's grown on me over the years. (Football is un-understandable to me!)

DH gave me $50 (or was GOING to!) so I pre-ordered Debbie Macomber's "One Perfect Word". But then last night, I got to thinking about going to Barnes 'n' Noble, the local store, after Christmas, to look for journals. I thought about fighting the crowds. Went on-line and ordered four lined ones, which are spiral bound, the way I like them because I can open them cover to cover and just write on one side of it. The hardbound ones are harder for me to write in. I have $3.53 left, will hang onto that. I'll love my Christmas gift from him, as I can use it year-round, too.

Blessed, I'm sorry your DH is this way about decorations and change. Some men change as they get older. There are certain things that get under my DH's skin now, which didn't in earlier years, too.

Scattered, I hope you get the courses you need and want. Sorry about that one though, not being covered by financial aid.

I'm planning on doing baby girl preemie crochet. I just have this "feeling", since the last 2 were 3-month preemies, she will be, too. Ddil is due the first of March. I found a pattern, which takes Pound of Love yarn and I have about 1 1/2 Lbs. of it. It's lavender so I'll make the cardigan in lavender, trimmed in pretty pink with pink ties. There's a matching pointed cap and booties, too, in both colors. It'll be cute to for them to have on hand. The pattern is for a large preemie, so IF she's in NICU and then when she goes home, perhaps she can wear it home. It's calming to crochet for the grand-she.

Might do some housework, too, and get in my 30-min. walk again. I'll write a ta da list later.

Blessed: is there a cancer support group that he could volunteer with, or volunteer at the hospital in the cancer wing?

I got the upstairs chores all done and the dusting on the main floor and basement done while I was on the phone. Still have the vacuuming to do on the main floor and the mopping. Mopping is a priority since I missed it last week and you can tell.

Ds went out to lunch with a friend and is back home now.

Dh and I will probably go out for dinner tonight, my reward for getting all the cleaning done. Ds's friend had invited me to join them for lunch but I decided I should stay and keep at the housework.

{{{Blessed & all who need a hug!}}} that's one of the things I love about h. working I can decorate, hang pics., vacuum etc. while he's out of the house! LOL!

Skippable home work stuff following\
Yesterday was not so good as the day before for home work. Learned dgson said he was done with a subject and he actually was not and had to work on it at home. That pushed my button! ack not a good reaction from me. His mom called and the teacher had called her he left above mentioned home work at school so we went by to get it. [See prayer reg. in J&C on this topic.] Sigh trying to move on and let this go now. No granny duty today so I have a few days to regroup that is good. Dgson is SO far behind on assignments after having it on his own seems over whelming for everyone nothing seems to work and we've tried everything over the years! {I remember when one of our kids forgot home work and called a friend to get them over the phone interesting solution.}

On stopped by the store after fetching dgson's home work I had a couple of things to get so it worked out good b/c dgd was not napping.

I am feeling better today for the most part so far so yea for that.

Nancy, can you set up some kind of rewards chart to help with your dgs situation??? Is there anyway y'all can just declare a "Do Over" and start fresh? Is the reason for all the extra work due to pass assignments not done??? Is he aware of the past problems with his mom and dad and is feeling the need for additional attention. What are his consequences for not doing his assignments??? I have some suggestions that might help. This kind of problem is what I worked on while working. PM me if you'd rather. I'll be glad to help.

I have just finished taking a shower and am sitting here at the computer. I went to the gym again this morning. It felt good to sweat. Headache dr. believes I may have cluster headaches instead of just migraines. My exdh suffered from them for years. Usually these type of headaches are timed...meaning they start and are finished within an hour, then they begin again later in the day. Not uncommon to have 3-4 headaches each day. They are usually seasonal, meaning people tend to get them in the spring and fall. There are not triggers, just a chemical problem with your body not producing what you need that sets off these headaches.

I do not get separated headaches each day. I wake up with one and it sticks with me all day. However my dr thinks the pattern that I have been searching for is within the headaches themselves. I tend to have seasonal ones. Been tested for allergies and came up negative. Anyway she, my dr, started me on blood pressure meds even though my blood pressure is very good. This is a common way to treat these types of headaches and something that I have never tried before. The only warning that she gave me was I would have a very hard time getting my heart rate up to 140bpm when I exercised. She said it may take a week or two before we saw any results, but I'm ready to give it a try.

Off to dry my hair...still have footprints to pick up.

I need to get it together and get out of the house on these errands....Napped off and on, read a little, interrupted by several phone calls and doorbell ringing.

dh apologized, he could see I was visibly upset and frustrated and couldn't figure out what was wrong. He didn't realize what I and even younger dd saw. It's been building a long time. He said he was sorry he made me feel that way and it wasn't his intent. I also felt bad for him. I am thinking though if situations go back to the way he was before he found out he had cancer that I would join a support group to help me with handling situations. I wish dh did things outside of the house with other men as I feel it would be good for him. I know when I was growing up dmom didn't allow choices, old world thinking I am sure plus that strong personality and I am sure that it is a sore spot for me when someone becomes to controlling. So I feel better and dh is understanding how I feel. He didn't realize that he was insisting spaces were his and that keeping all of the clutter - newspapers, papers, multiples of everything was making it super cluttered. He questioned everything I was doing or getting rid of even if it was mine. Once the furniture was moved in he could see that his tendency to build on things made the house look and feel overwhelming. He also saw that he is a keeper of things and without realizing consistently questioned why I would get rid of things I did. His wonderful mom also keeps newspapers and misc. everything even though they are put out in a place and looks surface neat but is very cluttered on all surfaces.

Thanks for the advice and support! I can't tell my mom, his mom of course, or my girls as it is not their place to handle. dd younger has noticed dh being really eccentric and I have to admit it has been really hard for everyone in the house; including dh.

understanding about the painting too dhelia.. it made me lol! dh has a picture of an old car in the front room that he loves. And with all the good and kindness dh has there have to be let go.
