I'm up and I'm
focusing on the last of the things that I did not finish yesterday like laundry.

Have half of it done now so that's good news.
Granny duty all day today so that will be going on here dgson. Hoping no home work b/c of the vacation.
H. said they are going to do work around the plant on New Years.
And they have a big pour early in Jan.

I agree; some of us will never catch up with OK!
I'm up, sipping tea. Will be leaving soon to meet dfriend to go for a walk in her neighborhood. While I'm out, I will stop by swim/ski store (I know; odd combo but it works here) to buy dd14 new swim goggles and the library to pick up a book on tape. I hope to be back by 12:30.
I don't know if dd17's small group is coming over this afternoon or not; if so, I've requested her to remind the girls that the group technically ends at 5:45. Last time they were here, I had to sort of shoo them out at 7 pm when we were sitting down to eat dinner.
Someone, Lilac, I believe, asked how long dh will be gone. He'll be home Sunday afternoon. He keeps visits to his ddad quite short since they tire out his dad. Dh is visiting with his sisters this afternoon (now) and will go to his dad's tonight, visit with him all day tomorrow, and then leave for the airport Sunday a.m.
mini-rant: I'm starting to feel socially claustrophobic being around people all the time w/ kids around and dh around more as well. . . Well, dh is gone now for a couple days. A was here until 9:30-ish last night. She's planning on stopping by again tomorrow. She doesn't require entertainment while she's here, but it is just another person in the house. A was here Monday night, R was here Wednesday night, A Thursday. . .. likely A again Saturday. R usually eats with us Sunday night. Monday, we've invited friends over to celebrate New Year's Eve, so we'll have a house full. I love my friends and don't mind having them here - and A is in a difficult spot in her life, and we're some of her few friends in town - but I'm starting to crave an evening at home by myself!! Maybe that helped to get that off my chest.
Alright, I'm off to get ready to go.

and I echo
Helia thoughts. Here, it's more that dh and dkids are all here more, and we have a fairly busy life to the point I crave quiet time at home. We ended up not going out last night - the young couple we invited got back into town a day or so ago after an out of town funeral; when they begged off, the timing was perfect as I knew I had a cold coming on. Other than running errands today, this s/b a quiet day. At this point the only thing we have for the weekend is dinner out on Sunday for dh's birthday. Oooooh, should probably go shopping for something for his birthday, also. Oh, and a funeral on Sunday or Monday probably.
Still have not walked ddogs, but calling it another round:
-walk ddogs
-s2s
-figure out dinner and grocery list
-start a delicates in laundry
-email re meeting next week for temple nom committee

Well, haven't got much done today yet. Paid the mortgage tho, so we have a house for another month, lol. Dh is up finally and addressed a situation in the bathroom so I can comfortably shower. We have been discussing the TO DO list for for the next few days, as soon as he returns from upstairs, that conversation will be finished and I can get busy.
Dd is still passed out, and has to work tonight from 4p-1am, so I am not pushing her to get moving. I glanced in her room last night and alot, alot of progress was made. If she doesn't finish it today before work, I MAY gove her a hand a finish it up after she leaves. Thats a BIG maybe.
Dh and and I are taking about going out to dinner tonight. We have a half a dozen gift cards for dinner, just trying to decide which one to use. Decisions Decisions.
Off to finish talking to Dh and hitting the shower. Think I am going to concentrate on my bedroom and office upstairs. Both got completly wrecked thru the Holiday. They conect with a door so it just makes sense to do them both at the same time.
I really really want to have the house in good shape when the New Year comes and I have to go back to work.

Details in J&C. Don't know when I will be able to post again. I will be filling in at the shop for dd2, watching kids or taking a shift at the hospital.

There is NO competition! Thank goodness!

For those of you who are night owls, I would be a the Biggest Loser if we were competing late in the evening. By LO bedtime, i am used up and ready for a refreshing night sleep. I was asleep last night by 9pm and slept well, so getting up early wasn't unusual for me.
It is snowing AGAIN! Anything containing moisture is cause for celebrating! AND this time the snow is coming down so pretty instead of blowing sideways with the wind blowing 40mph.
I made squash casserole and potato salad this morning to add to our smorgasbord.

Dh just gave me a heart attack. We were discussing today and going out to dinner tonight. He pops out with "Didn't you tell me you had to work tonight?" Oh Lord, I thought. If I was supposed to work and forgot, I would be royally sc****d. After a mild panic to get dressed to run out to work and check, I remembered that there were some office staff working so I was able to call instead. And lo and behold, I am NOT working. Phew*****. Not until my regular shift next Wednesday am. He was referring to next Friday night I think. Its either Friday or Saturday night I have to work extra. I can't remember which. My luck, it'll be both, lol. I'll find out when I go back tho. I need to relax my heart now, lol. He is showering and then its my turn and I can actually get moving. Never did decide about dinner during that, lol.

Morning y'all...
I took all my decorations down yesterday and put most away. Still have a few to go but not much. Will leave my wreath up until after the new year. Meantime I have some laundry to do, footprints to pick up and some dust removal.
Our cool weather...high 59... Has mad for some great sleeping at tight. Only had the heat on once and that was yesterday morning to take the chill off. House is well insulated and stays around 70 degrees which is just perfect for me. My turkey turned out to be one of the best I think I've ever cooked. We've been eating on it the last few days.
Tonight we are going out to dinner with Norma, Mr guy and some friends of theirs. It is the "Guys" wedding anniversary. Sweetie suggested the place we're eating at so hopefully it will be good for the occasion. We always have a good time when we're together.
Waving to y'all. Finished my coffee and now it's time to work.

LOL, I've done everything on that round except s2s and I just need to head out on errands. I've also done a lot of other things along the way...dd is off for her day, I ate breakfast, several emails, etc. Poor ddogs were about to have a stroke waiting for me once I got my shoes on and then I lollygagged.
This has probably been sitting for 30 min and I'm still not out the door...here goes.
