Twins.... Good Morning!!!! I hope your day is SENSATIONAL!!

Okay....I LOVE waking up early and being refreshed! ALso, I think Monday would be a better day to shop. Just my opinion, thats when I am going to do it, lol.

Dee...Great Job!! Keep up the mojo!

Empty....I wish having to prepare for a renovation was my problem. My house soooooo needs it, but its going to have to wait until I have DD's wedding paid for. One BIG expense at a time is really all I can mentally handle, lol.

I txtd DD at work and gave a long rant about the disapperance of all my laundry baskets and what I was going to do with their contents (after I found them in her bedroom full of clean clothes) it was rather long. She texted me back with "ok". Not quite sure how to take that, lol.

Alrighty....
Tada's
did not sleep in too late. Up at 630
morning meds
weather check....3 to 5 MORE inches of snow Uugghhh
breakfast
wake DH as he has a mtg at 10 across town
wash up
d2s
tidied kitchen.... somewhat
downto the laundry room to sort the gazillion loads of laundry
sort laundry...Holy Moley there is a ton
fluffed and folded the hang dryed load still down there from DD
started an epic marathon of washing clothes

Round Three
toes up til the Ibuprophen kicks in for my hip, 20 minutes.
eat something again
finish kitchen i.e...empty and reload dishwasher
clear off diningroom table
rehome all strays in diningroom and livingroom
clean off desk in diningroom
flip laundry

And Im off................ bbl

Hello, itneverends.

Aw, shoot, Sunny! You would have loved to have seen her.

Dee, I am smiling to think of Pigpen. We watched a few of the Charlie Brown specials over the holidays. I wish I could brag on dd's room. At this point, it is a nagging ( ) concern. She did spend quite a while organizing before Christmas. But when her brother needed a place to change a diaper during the party - :| . Let's just say he must have had a flash-back!

For mass killings, remember the worst year for them ever was 1929, so they are not new. They actually spiked again in the 1990s and subsided after 2000, which has been good news. Also interesting was the report that some countries hush up their mass attacks to make it appear less likely there. For instance, NYTimes reported Tuesday that China has has 2 major attacks on students, Dec 14th and Dec 24. Both involved more than 20 students, with unclear reports on injuries/deaths. The first was an attack with a meat cleaver, the second a vehicle deliberately mowing down students on their lunch break. But the state media sent out little info about those and instead ramped up their coverage of the CT attack here to keep attention focused away.

Everybody getting excited about organization and efficiency in the new year? I need to buy a big-grid calendar for the wall at my desk. HRH and I have already chosen our very expensive planners  (his from the heating and air guy - black with leatherette. Mine from the "dollar" part of Tarjay opens flat on spiral bound.) Dd14 will stick with the school-issued planner for now. PocketMod for the last few days of 2012 was made out yesterday and am sure I'll keep that method up as much through the new year as I will the planner. Cardfile doesn't seem to need tweaking - good to go.

Hi everybody!

It snowed again last night, so I'm enjoying just standing at the window and looking at it. I don't think I want to go any where today.

Mike is still sleeping, so I'm being quiet. AHA! He just woke up.

II think I might dust today. Maybe do laundry.

Off to see what Mike wants to do.

While other countries have mass attacks - including proportionally by population more at schools in Canada - the # of dead are almost always much less due to the fact that semi-automatic and automatic rifles are not readily available. The attack in China the same day as Newtown had 23 injured, no dead, but was a knife attack. Had it been a semi-automatic gun attack....

In the meantime, schools in my province will now be required to have locked doors. Of course, the fact Sandy Hook had locked doors and he blasted he way through it, doesn't seem to register with our premier who wants to be seen to be doing nothing (while cutting funding for school psychologists and drug intervention programs.)

Not a great day here. It is snowing again and accumulating (I know this because I keep putting things out on the balcony to cool and they come back in covered in snow.)

It is Turkey/Birthday Dinner Day for us and the turkey is now in the oven. I baked dh's birthday cake this morning and it fell, literally. It was a Pineapple Angel Food cake and I've never had one fail. Today, about 3 minutes after I inverted the cake to cool, dd gave a squeal, covered her mouth with one hand and pointed with the other. The cake had fallen down onto the counter around the glass that was supporting the angel food cake pan.

I scraped it up and put it on a plate. Lots of frosting will cover this so it will look fine until we cut it.

Then the cranberry sauce wasn't setting so I told dh if it didn't resolve before I put the turkey in, we'd go out for dinner instead because I'm ready to give up. Dh has declared it to be fine!

Lunch is coming up and then heading off to snow shoe for a bit.

Scattered just called....she's going to try and lie down to rid herself of the headache. I will call and wake her in an hours or so.

Hello to everyone else!!!!!! *she waves*

I haven't completed Round three yet. I sat down with a sandwhich for lunch and got to looking at a webpage about the fallen firefighters (12/24). It almost brought tears to my eyes to see just how incredibly generous this community is. It completely amazed me to read all the donations and offers that were out there for the fire deparment and the families of those affected. Incredible. The effects if that horrible will linger here for a long time to come Im guessing.
I did manage to flip a load of laundy tho, so that is still progressing.

Dh just called, he stopped at the pharmacy to pick up my refills, and 3 of them can't be refilled. For some reason their system 'deactivated' me. They are trying to fix it as they know I DO have refills avail. But Hhhmmm, should I be nervous? I mean when someone says you are deactivated, well...that could mean alot things, am I still alive?. Jk, They will get it fixed Im sure.

Going to restart Round three.

I've eaten breakfast & talked to dmil on the phone. That's about it.

However -- movie review -- SURPRISE --
after all that talk about how much dh hates B Str*esand...
we went to see Guilt Trip.
Ooohhh... I LOVED IT. Can't tell you too much about it -- I'll give away something. But it was sooo good!
It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. Perfect movie. ;)

Well, I know I have LOTS and LOTS and LOTS to do today... and I'd really like to sleep some more. I will try to make it a sensational day, though. Back later.

I've been sidetracked 10 times over and still haven't s2s-ed. Ddog Macs grabbed styrefoam tray that the chicken from last night came on...it had a plastic and absorbent liner at the bottom which he ate. So he got hydrogen peroxide to make him throw up in the back yard, and I got to pick up the pieces. Then I found that Moe had gotten into the hydrogen peroxide while I was outside. It's a lot like living w two toddlers around here some days.

DH came home, dd got up and went out, dh and I walked ddogs after Macs seemed to feel better.

Okay, I am going to s2s and then will head out to find something for dh's birthday.
