Dee - 'Anti-procrastination time slot" what a wonderful idea!

Kathryn - my advice would be to plan and take your nap, not only will you be more useful to yourself and others in the evening, it will help you to heal from the Hep faster.

I have almost completed my SDR, just waiting for the younger DS's to finish their showers to do my S&S. I need to get DS14 to tidy the kitchen before I can cook. Was waiting for DS14's BF to wake-up before gather laundry and feeding B&E, he is up now so I will get going on that, and I need to google some recipes.

Start the Day Routine (SDR)

Resolutions...
Well, of course, to exercise regularly. That is a perpetual resolution for me and I'm already 2 days behind.
I am also trying to establish my routines better, and
I'm trying to read the Bible through in 2 years. I have a 1-year plan/guide, but it combines Old & New Testaments, and from past experience, I know that I cannot keep up the pace of both. I've followed the plan before by just doing the OT one year and then the NT, so I'm doing that again.

But right now I am just really fighting the urge to crawl back into bed and sleep. Nerves & depression sorta do that to me. I just want to sleep it all away. See J&C for more info on current situation w/my family...
I am just sooo nervous about what will be needed/expected of me during the coming weeks... and what the future will hold... and how my dmom is going to handle the stress she is under... along with, of course, how my ddad is going to deal with his own health condition... he is NOT a good patient, has never really been sick much until this came about.

I think I may go back to bed and watch old Westerns on tv.

Awww.... ... lucylee, lucyleeee, come back. Aside from getting enough rest being a help, you'll be happier back out of bed with us. (Well, some of us are probably taking healing naps at the moment, but generally those in this hemisphere are up.) :) You're right about how hard this is. (See, I didn't even put a "but". It is.) Hang out with us, make the bed, "just push play" on the Leslie Sansone, or whistle while you housework - let your subconscious deal with the worry a while and consciously change to other occupations. (((())))) (See, if you were up, you'd have gotten a hug.)

Agree with scattered on the naps, Kathryn. I posted NASA results of nap study in H and F.

scattered, those are good resolutions.

blessed and Nancy, dd14 says her resolution is to become herself as she sees herself. She says she has a mental picture of herself as she wants to be as a sophomore, and is just going to turn into that girl, not say certain resolutions.

I'm up... I'm up... emailing back & forth w/my dbro ... he is aware of some of my "issues" -- said, "Yep, we'll have to figure out a way to work around that, LOL" -- so I'm feeling a tiny bit better in some ways. Just glad to know he IS aware.

So... I think you are right... I just have to PRETEND all is well and do busy stuff to get myself going. At least, even if I'm tired and fretful later, I can look around and say, "Well... I got this and this and this done." :P
Off to the shower.

Taking down Christmas decorations & pets are my focus for today. Have already trimmed ddog & dcats nails, brushed dcat, wrote checks for dog license & microchip renewals, washed pet bowls & wiped down their placemats, & brought all Christmas boxes down from the attic. Dh brushed ddog outside so the cloud of hair blows away in the yard & not in the house! :)

I was making good headway in undecorating the living room when dh needed help with a few things. Decided to make a cup of hot cocoa & take a quick break here when we were done. One of my resolutions is to really, really, follow a zone plan this year. So many of my closets, cupboards & drawers (plus the basement & part of the attic) are still full of stuff that I need to go through & declutter. I'm changing my attitude about it -- instead of being discouraged at how much time & work it will take, I'm looking at it as a treasure hunt -- what fun things will I find that I forgot I had? I'm also giving myself permission to wait on implementing zones until all of the Christmas decorations are down & put away. I would love to have it all done, tree included, by tomorrow night so I can have a fresh start on Monday.

Break time is over. Waving ~~~~~ to everyone. Hope you have a wonderful day! :)

We don't do resolutions formally in our family. There are some things I'd like to improve on, as always. And organization would be high up on that list! Physical organization; I think I'm actually pretty decent with other sorts, like schedule management, conceptual organization, etc.

I am s2s-ed. I took dd14 to synchro. I went through more photos with dh; many photos I thought lost have been found! I even found some photos of dd17 age 6 months, so I think that is as good as it is going to get - up to 2 months - 6 months - 10 months. :) We have gazillions of photos of ds and dd14. Dd17 sort of got short shrift in the baby photo dept. I think that reflects the reality of life at that time. Ds was the first -- lots of photos. We knew dd14 was our last, thus lots of holding and snuggling her -- and lots of photos. I've already posted this -- dd17 was 18 months behind ds and preemie, thus lots of initial stress and then ongoing busyness and very few photo ops. I wonder how Twins did it with 2 the same age??

OK, I'm finishing lunch, eating an apple. I'm off now to finish the a.m. routine. Ds has gone to pick up dd14.

I've done the rest of my exercises, s2s, ate breakfast (at 12:30), read the paper, supervised dh remounting the shelf that got taken down yesterday, and slightly reorganized the CDs so those shelves look nicer. They are on the top two shelves of a regular bookcase, and I have them in two levels per shelf in order to make best use of the space. Most are sorted alphabetically, but I've pulled out all Christmas, sacred, jazz, classical and spoken word to make those themes easier to find. In general, the music is all on the media centre computer but when I want to listen to something specific, it is faster to pull the cd and put it on, than boot up the 6 year old kitchen computer, open up media centre and then search for the specific album.

I still have to dry and style my hair so I guess I'll do that next. Not sure if I'll eat lunch today or just try and go through to supper. I do need to grocery shop at some point, although dh just mentioned needed to get into the second church and it is in a village with a grocery store so we might just run those errands together.

Yeah, I need to avoid procrastinating....eventually took ddogs for a long walk and then took a nap. (Need to insert a yawning smilie here.)

I need to have lunch and get back to paper taming. The trouble is, everything requires decisions..why did I save it, do I still need it, where should I save it (scan, file) or should it be trashed...in recycling or shred? I am working on a stack from the basket that lives on the kitchen counter.

DD is still in bed - she texted me overnight that she felt sick and thought she was running a fever. I checked on her earlier but probably should again. Looks like we won't be cooking tonight. (Dh just commented on the two bags of dirty laundry still in her car from when she came home for winter break....)

Need to reboot myself, I think.
-lunch
-start a lol for us (on the theory that dd won't need washer anytime soon.)
-make the bed
-15 minutes of paper taming

Helia, it was crazy. I got photos from the first year into a scrapbook for the first BD party, then there's a big gap in scrapbooks until they were perhaps 3? I have all the photos - more than I need for sure, but never got back to organize them or get them into scrapbooks.

I really haven't made resolutions - there's the eternal resolutions to eat healthier, get rid of clutter and get organized...
