Yes, I too am grateful that here in our village we don't think others need to hear politics, helia. Sorry you've had emails that made you feel uncomfortable.
Focus Cleaning starts in Closets today. I will probably continue in our master closet, but work in dd's is continuous. If I don't report back in Focus this week, ya'll come looking - my motivation may have gotten stuck in one of them!
Declutter today is in Laundry.
The goal of the week, at least partially, must be to ready the 2 houses for dd32's family, who will come in on Friday.

Re: Motivated Monday
Morning y'all...
It still raining here but that's alright with me.
I have the rest of my house to finish today. I have some vacuuming and kitchen clean up to do and I'm done. Need to spend some time doing desk clean up too.
Lynlee I've been watching the news and thinking about you. Glad to know you're ok.
I have errands to run later...looks like it's a hat and boot day. I don't have to worry about umbrellas I'm probably one of the few desert people who have three
Cya'll later.....

Re: Motivated Monday
Good morning, villagers ~
We had freezing rain & sleet yesterday so DH and I stayed in the house all day. It was too dangerous to drive even 2 blocks to a new diner here in Tiny Town. I cooked up a big pot of goulash instead. Put half in the freezer for sometime next week.
Today is dark and foggy but otherwise safe to drive, so I should be able to get out for a few errands.
The huge projects for volunteer groups that have kept me busy since before the holidays are almost finished. Now I can start thinking about where to jump into home projects. If I'm remembering correctly, I have the whole month of February relatively clear of commitments to other people. I'll need to double-check my calendar, but I deliberately tried to leave it open for working on the house.
Must do today:
* 3 Ds are well underway.
* nap with cats -- no naps all last week =
* Vitamins C & D
* Count money from library event
* Go to library to copy checks from event & return the key
* Ask library director about books
* Bank deposit for library event
* Send sewing group 4th qtr report
* Update sewing group member list
* Print sewing group address labels
* Sewing newsletters fold/label/tape/stamp
Goals for the week:
* Update library group bookkeeping
* Update sewing group bookkeeping
* Pantry inventory for menu plans
* Clear Email Inbox
* Assemble 2 portable wardrobes from L
* Declutter laundry room to get back on Focus schedule
* Declutter & clean closet in office to get back on Focus schedule
* Declutter dining room because the table is buried again
Editing to add: Harriet, thanks for the info on Vit D.

Re: Motivated Monday
Harmony you asked last night how we will choose a place to move to if dd isn't settled yet. Because this move is only for 1 - 2 years, where we end up doesn't really matter. Dd wanted me nearby to take kids to school if she woke up feeling sick. Well, she isn't even pregnant yet, so I have at least 5 years until that will happen, which gives up 3.5 years before I have to worry about where dd has ended up.
And yes, we are moving to an apartment. We have decided we want to try that sort of living for a while. There are advantages (lock the door and leave on a long trip without having to worry about shutting down the big house,no yard work - not a pleasure for me, lower cost to run, less to clean) and disadvantages (long walk from car to apartment, less room, no clothesline, no connection to the ground, noisier.) Some things could go either way - cost, sense of community, and lifestyle changes (more movies, less performing music). If we move to the Seaway, that's a different area of jurisdiction for the church so I may not be able to preach and even if I do get licensed, I may not get any jobs because I'll be an outsider. That's a huge issue for me.
But at this point, I only need to think about reducing my possessions, I don't have to think about location. That will fall into place in 15 months or so.

Re: Motivated Monday
Kathryn, that is interesting reading about your future plans.
Good morning everyone! Where is the morning going? A w a y
too fast!
Keep getting interrupted. I am motivated to get my kitchen finished today, but first I wanted to get DD's b'day pkg. in the mail. So I stopped to wrap that and write the card and get that ready. Then I had phone calls received and ones to make; check email for information for someone; and I printed off a return authorization for truck parts they sent the wrong size. That is reboxed and I'll mail that too.
Then, I'll get back to my kitchen. Some spaces in my house are neat and clean, and some are cluttered. I need to make progress on all this.

Re: Motivated Monday
Kathryn - I'm looking forward to hearing the steps you go through to downsize. I suspect we will all will face some of those steps someday. I learned much from MT when they downsized from huge home to MH. AND I'm excited for you as you make the decisions that will lead to a different living environment. **Someday** I think DH and I will be making the similar decisions. We are in limbo now with LO legal actions and caring for DParents.
This morning, DH told me we need to make a lawyer appoint to change our will. We have discussed different aspects of it over the past several years. We have reach a point where we are comfortable in making major changes in our will. I'll be discussing the proposed changes with DSon/DDIL tomorrow to make sure they are agreeable with it and get their point of view.
Multiple meal prep is in progress so DH and LO can have some good meals available without having to eat out.......beef brisket, meatloaf, hash are underway. I've also pulled chicken sausages (already cooked) out of the freezer. If the main protein ingredients are ready to eat, DH can easily add in carb & vegetable sides over the next couple of days.

Re: Motivated Monday
Twinsm. I Love the quote today and the thinking about mojo.
I got ready for the week last night with some mental planning and helped dgson get clothes ready for the week as he will stay here one night, and his clothes through the wash, and ready for what he will wear today. He was exasperated by the end of that process but this morning we got the rewards of that as I got him up a bit late and he still made it to the bus and did a.m. chores. Yea!
Spiffed the laundry room at dd's b/c I knew it would be getting a lot of activity after their cruise.
I've started laundry here now as well.
Chickens have been fed.
Whenever I see a thing on TV about the puppy bowl I think of Indiana she used to watch and comment on it in her posts here on the board.

Re: Motivated Monday
Twins', I love Zig Ziglar quotes!
It's a great lead-in for the day and week!
Today DH and I will be doing a "House Blessing".
I'll be crocheting some baby and preemie caps. Did 3 nice headbands with flowers on them yesterday. DH keeps the humidifier filled up, for my dry eyes to be healthier. He got a great one, too.
It's dry here, but rains and winds are coming.
I only owe 3 people letters, but when the mail comes again today, the amount could grow. I'll answer as I can and I'm also reading "Proof of Heaven," by Eben Alexander, M. D., on loan from a BFF, to read and ship back to her. I shipped her a book to read, too.
Have a nice Motivated Monday, Everybody!
Take care!
TTFN!

Re: Motivated Monday
Got the minutes written and sent. I've had lunch. Got distracted by Rich Bride Poor Bride. That'll teach me to turn on the tv in the middle of the day!
I'm in a recliner now because my knees are 'working out' like they usually do. So I figure elevation is ordered.
Of course, I've got all settled and now realize I need my books and water glass. But I'm comfy and don't want to get up!
Dh called the church musician to ask if we can reschedule choir practice. It is still snowing really hard and he just wants to hunker down here and not go out in the snow.

Re: Motivated Monday
back for a short break...
My house blessing turned into a deep house cleaning. Everything in my living area has been vacuumed, including the furniture. That took a while. Kitchen and counters are done, floors were mopped yesterday. I have just my office and guest bedroom to vacuum. Have some rearranging I want to do in my office, but I am running out of energy so it might wait till tomorrow. Thats fine as I have been really motivated to do so needed things today.
Will shift gears in an hour and make run some errands. The rain has stopped for the moment...but not sure what it will be like when I head out.
Boy did I need this break...back to it before I lose my motivation
