EN I bruise easily as well, so I quit taking the asprin doc. recommended I've concerned b/c I bleed a lot had to have a vit. K shot for clotting before doc. did not say any thing about me not taking the asprin this time so figure I'm okay.

Lilac that is so neat about the name from the chicken for the event!

I've fed & watered chicks and chickens today they are all fine.
H. has left for work.
Bed & coffee have been made.
Morning ex. qt & journal all done.

P/c seems to be working today yea!

Harriet - no, no upheaval with the house selling. It has been for sale for over 5 years because of the economic crisis no one was buying here. Now things are changing in AZ - and all over I believe - and a buyer finally came along. Yesterday we made arrangements to rent the house next door for 4 months beginning in December. It is lovely - even nicer than this one and cheaper too. Of course, that could change because people are beginning to ask questions about it of the realtor. When you rent you always face that. I like the street we are on here and have made friends.

Hope all have a good day. Oh, before I forget, history was made in AZ yesterday! Snow! Bigtime! The baseball spring training fields were covered, the golf tourney in Tucson was cancelled and roads full of snow. Very Very unusual

Hello Dear Ladies,

We have rain here today, I heard it freezing it during the night but it isn't freezing now. It's warm enough that it doesn't freeze, but cold enough so the snow isn't melting either.

DH has gone to visit Dave. Dave called to say he is bored, I think he is a bit lonely too, of course men won't say that. But since the weather is messing with DH's work schedule, I think the visit will do both of them good.

I got the floors done yesterday and I'm supposed to be dusting today but just haven't yet. Maybe this afternoon I will. I'm just sore today, think it is the weather. Did pay some bills, got the dishes done and cooked lunch so I haven't been just sitting around.

Going to surf the net a bit, and then head for the shower.

Hello, Sadie! Surfin' the web here, too.

Need to run errands, but the wind is so horrible and it's so icy, I will wait another day. Just had to have a mocha cappuccino (cocoa mix) to recover from going to the mailbox. At least we have some sun and blue sky today! This weather is not nearly as bad as what we went out in back when I had preschoolers. Back then, I was afraid for them to miss a day of preschool...convinced they would miss something valuable. Now I know I could have relaxed and enjoyed more days at home with them without harming their education!

Dishes are done. Bed is made. Main room vacuumed. A bagless vacuum sure makes it easy to appreciate how dirty floors get!
Daily readings done. Watching a western on TV. The same actor has been shot 2 days in a row now! Hurry Spring!!

Looking forward to lunch out with some ladies this weekend, if the weather is ok.

x kept up with emails - dfriend wanted a primary care MD recommendation; ds wanted to know about his yellow fever immunization card, etc.
x took care of chickens

I did not run errands, and I may not be able to fit them in after tea w/ dfriend b/c I need to be home by 5 to take dd14 to synchro. there are 2 stops that are en route home, though, so I'll try to get those done.

I'm off to put on my wool socks and hiking boots and then head to dfriends' house for a walk! Temps feel mild today and the itty bit of snow we have is melting. the sun is trying to peek out right now.

Waving to y'all and zipping through.

Got up extra early so i could take pictures of the mountain. Me and 25 other people had the same idea. Came home ran some errands and am now checking in. Will be back later...I see gremlins peeking around my cyber corner.

Scattered....If your friend's bite looks nasty it's mostlikely NOT a black widow. Had I not thought to circle the bite area with a pen when a black widow bit my son....he was 2.5 yrs old... we would never have found the bite site when we made it to the hospital. The bite looked like just tiny red pin prick. Brown recluses on the other hand inject poison into the human skin, and the skin begins to deteriorate immediately. The drs who first developed treatment for the Brown Recluse were unable to help us when my son was bitten, and they didn't come up with their treatment for the Brown Reluse until 6 months after my son was bitten. Those drs were at the same hospital where my son was admitted. I know way more about spider bites than any other human outside the medical or science fienld should have to know.

What's for dinner? I'm thawing the last three chicken breasts I've seasoned them we have and chopped up onions, celery and carrots to go in with them for an easy oven or crock meal.

It's raining out so I'm glad we went out to the play area before that started and the I did the burning in the fire pit yesterday. Was trying to get some wood ash for the current bushes they seem to like a more acidic soil and the ash helps with that.

One of the hens was gone this morning just disappeared I looked all over for her several times have not idea where she was but around noon she showed up. Two eggs today one pullet, I think "the friendly hen" a barred rock is molting I had not idea how much of a challenge it was to keep hens laying! Plus trying to figure out the rotation. Getting various breeds helped us to know what ones will not work out as well and we did not realize that smaller ones combined with bigger ones could be problematic so we looked for breeds of similar size and temperament then settled on all the same ones hoping we can tell them apart when they are grown! I really enjoyed watching them while I was on kitchen duty! Looking out the window and seeing them.

Back from my outing.

Only stayed 30 minutes at volunteering because the library doesn't need more time than that these days.

Then I had lunch IKEA.

Then I hit one grocery store. Milk was on sale so I stocked up, along with the basics we needed which wasn't much. I bought a cabbage but am not sure how to shred it without a food processor. I guess I'll just have to do it with the grater. I mean, that's how it must have been done before food processors were invented about 30 years ago....

I think I'll take a nap now. I'm so tired these days. Really need to get my blood work done but I'm too tired (there's a sign I should go!!!)

I'm going to bake a carrot cake tonight. Dh doesn't believe I can because he doesn't remember the last one I made (which he loved.) I have a church supper tomorrow night so am baking a dessert for that.

Have mostly driven this week. DD is at speedweeks at Daytona for classes. GD has been staying with a teacher friend so I've been doing extra transporting. (Morning & afternoon). Yesterday we did 100 miles because dh had ameeting at church in the afternoon. GD had early dismissal so had to make an extra trip.

Finding myself too tired to do much. Certainly had opportunity this week.

DDIL posted a picture of dgs8's panels for his go-kart. He had specifically asked for a remembrance of the 2 firefighters who were shot & killed and the 2 who were injured be painted on the sides. Nice attitude. He had asked to stand at the end of their driveway to collect for them. DS & DDIL had to explain the logistics of the wintry weather and the danger of their road. Just nice to know his thoughts.

I made it home from Master gardener class in time to serve supper (prep'd yesterday) and still have 30 minutes to spare. Next up is enrolling LO to play T-Ball. I have the 2 page enrollment form already filled out along with $40 cash and his birth certificate out so it is ready to take.
