LO went to school in a happy mood this morning. He had a new shirt to wear that he was excited to show. He also had his show-N-tell item for today that he was looking forward to sharing. All was well. No crying. As I was driving home, I was counting the blessing of having this phase behind us. However, my phone rang as I got out of my car at home. It was the school asking me to come get LO. **VBSigh*** After I left Mr Happy LO, he threw up everywhere. They had to removed all the children from his class and put them in the hallway while they cleaned it up. He is now on the couch. He insist that he is okay, but I am very suspicious that he did this to get to come home. If Soooooo....he won. However, there is No TV and no electronic devices during school hours when he comes home sick. He isn't in trouble, he does have books to look at and his stuffed animals. I strongly suspect he is going to become EXTREMELY bored and tired of laying on the couch. I am lovingly seeking a way to get him to realize that staying at school is going to be more attractive option than laying on the couch at home.

I love that idea of a "Women's World Day of Prayer." Thanks for bringing that to our attention, LYNLEE.

Thinking of the MT's. Poor LO and OKAY...amazed that he could make himself sick like that. I guess anxiety is a powerful thing, if that is the reason.

Twelve years ago today was my father's funeral. Got disturbing news yesterday that DMIL is going to a psychiatric hospital. She has alzheimer's, but now her behavior is dangerous for DFIL, so she cannot be at home any longer. Such a dignified, stubborn lady...it's sad how things have changed.

On a happier note, I have folded laundry, emptied trash, changed sheets, paid a bill, called for propane delivery, and pulled up the remaining broken solar light out back. This light was hidden by plants when I removed the others last year.

Need to gather fallen limbs out of our woods so we can burn them. Would like to do this before things thaw too much and we have to start watching out for snakes...and then ticks...oh joy!!

Did get a couple of housekeeping things done here earlier but that's all I had time for.

DD called about 12 minutes ago to let me know she's on her way home. So far i don't think gd has made too much of a mess in the kitchen. I did hurry in the house and got left over pizza out & put it on a cookie sheet and stuck it in the oven so I can warm it for dinner. We don't mind her having it -however she'd take a bunch of slices, not eat them and end up feeding them to the dog. This way we can all have them for dinner and other "mustgo's". Just little bits of this 'n that.

We had planned to take dbil/dsil out to dinner for their anniversary in 3 weeks. Anyone else was welcome to join us. But they have decided they want a get-together at their house (at least it's not here). But it will mean planning & doing time which I was really trying to avoid this year. Especially since dh is busy from here on until he leaves on the 27th. There's just so much going on here in that time -that dbil/dsil are completely oblivious to.

Dh goes to Jacksonville March 8, 9, 10. DS-R and dgs8 will be there for World Karting races. DD, dgd and I are supposed to go up on Friday, but will play it by ear. Might go up that Saturday for the day. We'll see -depends on what's happening with gd.

The next weekend dh and dd go to Orlando for TSA (Technology Student Assoc) competition. DD as their guidance teacher and dh as a judge. Think one of dd's co-teachers will be keeping gd while they're gone. I'll have to pick up/deliver her to school.

Norma ... You beat me to it. Traffic doesn't bother me and I'll be glad to do your laundry Norma and I are just 30 mins or less from you and Sweetie will be glad to keep Mr. Guy busy while we're gone. Let us help.... That's what friends are for!!!

FNG is here tonight so furniture is in process of being moved around to make room for everyone to sit. Oatmeal/raisin cookies are cooling.

LO has is up from his day of laying on the couch. I wished I had recorded audio of him today. He sang songs, repeated nursery rhymes, repeated Bible verses, and made up stories as he "read" several books. I think the point that is is more fun to stay in school has been gently made.

Scattered - I owe you a BIG THANK YOU! A couple weeks ago you mentioned the HUP program for Office software. I had forgot totally about it. I am in process of downloading the software now. I feel like it is Christmas.

Just got to hotel. Wifi at hospital for the birds.

Regular hotel was full so I am right down town Phoenix at the Holiday Inn. I think I am near a fire station by the number of trucks wailing.

Update on DH.

Heart enzymes are coming down and Dr. said they weren't extremely high. Good sign. Diuretic is working and amount of fluid in lungs is decreasing. Good sign. Walked around 1st floor of hospital - didn't get very tired. Good sign.

2 Doctors (cardio and internal meds) said he might go home tomorrow. Very good sign.

Everything depends on echo cardiogram he had done late afternoon and on 4 pm, midnight and 7 am blood tests.

Thank you so much Norma and Cowinkie for offering to come over. Room is very small and is a two bed. Man in other bed is pretty vocal so not a pleasant place to visit. I am doing fine. My stint as his nurse back in 2002 has trained me for anything. I would really like to meet both of you -- so if you ever feel like a road trip to Wickenburg it would be great.

I'm bushed - but need to update kids on their dad. Also haven't look at my email inbox yet - I bet it is full.

Then I'm going to hit the hay.

I'm tired, MT, and thought you were talking about your hotel room! I am on the same page now!

Day took a turn. Wasn't being productive but did get March decorations up. Still have to remove some of the winter ones (I think I have had enough of winter even if we do have 2' of snow outside!)

To put away the big glass hurricane thingy that had winter decorations in it, I needed to make room in the antique wardrobe that contains my candles and table linens. Dh suggested a walk just as I decided to tackle it next for decluttering, so I did that first, then rested (my knees are rebelling even a relatively easy walk) and tackled it after supper.

Spent two hours emptying, agonizing and reloading. I have about 800 paper napkins and about 40 cloth napkins (although I did move 2 dozen of those into the toss/sell piles.) I found a white linen table runner embossed with shamrocks so that will go out on the table for my March theme (St. Patrick's until March 18, then Easter.)

I didn't get rid of much, just a few candle holders, a set of trays, linens and some candles. I still have 16 months of decorating this place to do, so there's no point getting of most of it now. I'm not sure how much I'll keep for the future. I'll still have the giant table so have to keep all the linens. And I need large scale decorations for the center of it so trays of candles, set in rocks or shells for summer need to be kept and the hurricane thingy can be decorated by the season (pine cones for winter, flowers for spring, shells for summer, leaves and acorns for fall with a large pillar candle in the middle) as an easy centerpiece.

My sister called and we chatted a bit while I worked. Got a load of laundry washed and into the dryer. Dh and I will be in bed for 10.

Oh, so much going on here today! I've cuop earlier and have had you all omm all day.

((LO and OKay)), so sorry for LO's setback. Anxiety is not easy to overcome and I'm sure not easy for LO to understand.

I've had a quiet boring day and have done only a little puttering in each room. Still waiting to hear if ds#1 will be here with his 4 dgkids. Ddil has a candle party to go to; was invited also, but decided not to go. It's not a big deal as I'm sure there will be enough people there. I could always order something afterward, but I really don't need any more candles (according to dh!)

Ddogs have been "needy" all day today, wanting out and in, out and in, food, water, treats, petting etc. DMinnie is sitting beside me at the moment with her head on my knee waiting for more love pats!

I'll be checking in again soon. Oh, here's MT - that is good news. So glad the meds are working!

Soooooo glad to hear that Mr MT might get to go home tomorrow. Thank you for the update. I checked in here numerous times today to see if there was any news.
