Morning y'all...
It is cold, 55*...rainy and windy...gusts 40-50 mph and dark, dark, dark....Sweetie went to take a shower when there was a huge bolt of lightning and a window shaking clap of thunder. That delay his plans a bit. I've been up, done the usual things and am now getting ready to work on the house. It needs it.
Every once in a while everything becomes scattered and spread out in my house. In the past this happened when it was time for my period. I've read many articules about how those particular hormones interface with a womans abilities to focus. I'm way past those days now, but occasionally still have time periods when this odd behavior occurs. Though I can't bless my house without my belf for the vacuum, I will still work my areas the same way. Think there's probably 2 hours work to do.
I've been off schedule because of my up-coming Colorado rafting trip. I've needed camping gear...head lamps, camp soap, things like that ...and have had to make several different store runs. Plus I was invited to hike to the top of the Superstition Mts next week with a group of people. Its a hike I've always dreamed of doing. However it is a very tough one...elevation climbs quickly. So I've started training for it so I don't make a fool of myself. Theres a small "mountain" near my house that is 3/4 of a mile round trip and climbs 300 ft in elevation. Many people run it...geese one woman I met runs it 8 times each day. I could barely make it to the top the first time I walked it. Then I increased to 3 times a day. Yesterday I added a camel pack...a pack that holds your water on your back...because I know I will needed when I make my big hike.
My first goal was to make it to the first level of the mountain without stopping. I did that yesterday even though I was carrying my pack...and then I did it two more times. Time to and from home is 2.5 hours. Theres been much adjusting of equipment and such as I learn what I need to do. Think I have everything down now and will focus on my time.
The time dedicated to this training has thrown off what I usually do in my house. I will be thinking about it while I work here today.
There will be many in the group that will not make it to the top and I may be one of them....so I don't feel any pressure it I don't. However I'm going to do the best I can. We'll see.......
