Trying hard to get logged in to this site on my new computer. DD is home and helping. The site comes up but won't let me log in or register. Any ideas from my computer savvy friends?

Editing: DD is truly getting frustrated with my new computer. It's an HP G7, Windows 8. The She site comes right up but when we try to log in or 'register' it just tells us "can't display the page'. Grrr... I HAVE to be able to get here on the new one. Can't imagine what else we can try.

Such a fun sunny day 8-) outside here today, I've done one round in the yard and got trash ready here and next door. Sheets are in the wash, journaling is done, dishes are drying. Breakfast is over.

Dgkids will be here in a while. Dgson is needing supervision for home work stuff and is grounded so he can help with some of the fence putting up activity I had planned for this week.

This site, Dee? Perhaps this shows how unsavvy I myself am, but ... here you are, posting as yourself, same avatar and all, so you already have to be logged in, right?

For me, everything since posting last has been about my dear uncle. Have been to hospital twice, over to his home once to confer in person with dear aunt's 2 caregivers, who are each taking 12-hour shifts to cover her needs round the clock. Hospital just called to get my permisssion (me?) for some things. yipes. He has never authorized me to act in this way, but then he never asked anyone and I'm all they've got. The last time he was in the hospital, my dear aunt was able to be present once or twice a day. Part of my concern is that he is asking me (and the church friend who first drove him yesterday to the outpatient procedure) not to bring other family in to this, "no " to my dear aunt's nephew and to one of my own cousins. He didn't specifically say no to other cousins, but I have to assume that is his wish. Caregivers are asking that I not report too much to the dear aunt who called me and asked me to step in, either, because they feel she will get overwrought. Dear me, dear me.

HRH is cutting his day short today, was here so that I could go to hospital this morning, and then will return about 2:00. One caregiver has a dental appt this afternoon.

I do have some things planned that the grand kids can help a project of getting that hen fence up will be great. I'm sure h. will have a diff. way of doing it he always does but he's not here we well will tweak it later if needed. Reclaiming the yard will be a good thing!

Good morning all! I need to finish a document at payroll and need to get my tailbone in gear. I am having trouble posting to these fora from home: I get a message that my site is blocked by spamhaus. Has anyone else had this problem? Were you able to fix it? This happens quite frequently, though sometimes I have no trouble, about 50% ok. I got the LR done last night and put the stray eggs away. My house has gotten hot in the evenings, but this morning the heater was needed. May be time to open up some windows.

Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD11, but she has been wanting to stay IN lately. Not a problem, it is cheaper! We do always eat Chinese though. Chuck E Cheese has fallen out of favor, but if she wants that, I have plenty of tokens. She has a $5 coupon at Build A Bear that needs to be used by April 15. There are small animals there that she will be able to get free. I also want her to pick out yarn for the vest she wants. Whether she wants to or not, I have GOT to pick up cat litter. At home to do there is: a bookcase to assemble for her room, plants to plant, and part of the dragon city to paint. After she has gone, I MUST remember to freezer wrap some stuff or else I will have to cook it all at once!

I did start looking into the database programming stuff last night, but no real progress has been made.

((((Harriet))))

Sitting down with a glass of green tea.

Progress -
** pillows & sheets in progress. Mattress vacuumed (where does all that stuff come from? Even with a mattress protector I'm always amazed what the vacuum pulls out of mattress)
** 4 days of MPB daily gross processed. Extra time taken to evaluate the percentage of customers using credit card jumping from typical averaging around 48% to all time high of 85%. Why? Equipment was working. No pattern I can find - EOM usage is usually around average. The same date last year was around average. Hummmm…. After considering several possibilities, it seems 85% of the customers just wanted to pay by CC that day. Weird.
** Drat. I don't have form provided by CPA to pay estimated taxes for this month. Seems I'm supposed to have my stuff to him before now. Grrrrr'ing at myself. Tax prep is rising to top of the must-do's
** Water bill paid
** lunch served & cleaned up

Next up -
** toes up for 1 hour
** Quick trip to Dmom's to check on her and pick up marriage license
** stop by funeral home and take care of a couple details
** Pick LO up from school…..then homework and evening doings

Thanks, Okay. I am logged in on this computer (my old one), Harriet, but can't get logged in or register on the new HP Pavilion g7, Windows 8. I'm ready to tear my hair out. (or box it up and send it back???) Grrrr....

Then dh and I had a somewhat disagreement on the phone. Think stress is getting to me. I hate it when he goes home and can't find anything. I think I have it all set so he can and then find out I don't. Oh well...........

Hello. I am back from my lazy computer "holiday" the past several days.

Dee, on Friday, I think, I kept having problems getting in here, it kept saying it couldn't find server or something like that. All right today. We ran scans 2 times and nothing found. I hope you figure it out. I hate computer problems.

Thinking of those with extra challenges here the past few days: (Lilac) illness, taxes; (Harriet) more family responsibilities; (Lucylee) hoping your schedule works out fine with DDad returning, oh and I think rolls & cookies and soda is a fine contribution to a meal; (Twins) sick tummy - get better!; (Sadie) work lecture yuck and DSon illness; all the rest of you whom I've forgotten... and BWTG OKay for all the work over at your DMom's. Your family sounds wonderful!

I've either been in a sad mood or busy and haven't been on the computer much. I did a lot of cleaning on Fri and was still working on the floors when DH and helper came in. Sat. I can't even remember, I think i was tired. Sun. was our community Easter service in a big community center and that was nice. I asked another couple if they'd like to join us for dinner and they gratefully accepted.

DH had gone to store Sat and I told him whatever he wanted for Easter to buy it and I'd cook it. About 4 phone calls later, he came home with a ham and fixins. So I ran around all day Sun after church and got the meal together and the house picked up and misc. done. We had a nice dinner with friends.

Mon I went to meet 4 other ladies from our committee for breakfast and that ran long. 2 others were too ill to come join us. I did some shopping on the way home, new hair curling iron, mine quit working Easter morning. New one doesn't get as hot and doesn't work as well. :(

Today I am working on mounds, yes mounds, of paperwork. I've got payroll for March all finalized and taxes in and all bills paid and receipts posted. I still need to do the rest to close out the month and the quarter. Tonight was supposed to be our Deaconess meeting but that has been canceled because our leader is ill and sev. others... so that opened a big huge chunk of time to get the office stuff done.

Car continues to leak water. DH finally looked underneath and determined it is the water pump which we replaced April 18th or so last year.:( Guy who put it in for us doesn't want to touch it again... and indicated there were problems and the way he rigged it might have caused the problem. DH has another pump ordered (still under partial warranty) and a timing belt cover which was not replaced last time. He says he is going to do it himself to make sure it's right this time. I put water in every time I go out and limit my trips. It will be nice when I don't have to worry about getting home again.

Sorry this is a novel. I need to get busy here again.

Hello Dear Ladies,

It is cold and raining here. We all keep saying we need the rain so we don't complain.

Stayed in bed until 9:30, :o that's unheard of for me but it was so cold to leave a warm bed. DH does have the wood fire going so that is better. I'm achey today, no surprise with the weather like it is.

Made lunch and did the dishes.

Going to shower and maybe read for awhile.

Great day to all!
