Traveler Check in:
We are having a day of rest with all adults and DGD at work or school. We are still at our Dson's house in the suburbs of Chicago. Today is his birthday (4 inches of snow in Chicagoland 47 years ago) so we will be going out for his favorite - pizza. There is a chocolate baseball cake that his girls made for him last night.
We went to bed about 9 and slept until 8:30 this morning. Getting up at 2 west coast time and going to bed in Central time made for a long day.
The Bridging Ceremony yesterday was held in a local park (with a bridge). I had upped her one step - this ceremony was from Daisies to Brownies.
Time to find DH some breakfast. TTFN
Safe travels to the rest of the travelers and a special prayer for Lucylee.

Re: Tuesday Round Robin
Round robin pretty much describes my day. I've done the morning stuff first load is dry and folded. Chicken chores done, cookies baked for today. BabyN. is here and dgd is as well. Dishwasher has been rebooted. I have a dinner plan for the dgkids and need one for us as well. Next up table. I've cleaned the one on the deck off. Yea for the progress I've already made this morning. Dd dropped of dgd as we could not work out the carpool today from her preschool.

Re: Tuesday Round Robin
Hello Dear Ladies,
Another sunny day here, hoping I can get to sit for a bit in the sunshine on the porch today.
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes.
Have been busy with texting and phone calls. Sharon text me about her DDad, there are a few moments of hope followed by some form of devastation. Like his kidneys started to work, but then he had a heart attack. It is hard on her emotionally.
Then Dsister-il in NY text DH that she had bad news. DH asked her to call me as I would filter things for him. She had bad test results for her condition and while she is not in immediate danger right now, she will be fighting an uphill battle to stay in good health. She was quite depressed about it too as she has done all the things she is supposed to do and worries about her special needs son.
Will have to check J&C here too.
Got to get at this house too.
Great day to all!

TaDas!
x spiffed main bathroom
x spiffed MBR
x wiped down stove top
x a.m. routine
x granite table cleared
x living areas tidy, spot dusting done
x living areas vacuumed - except for computer room
x puppy care continuing as needed
x cookie dough made; 1st batch in the oven
I'm going to go spiff myself and then work on my teaching and keep cookies going until the Ks arrive. 30 minutes? I also need to feed Maia her lunch. I might start a lol too; I didn't get to that earlier. I know dd17 was asking about that this a.m.

Glancing in quickly - thinking of all those traveling.
Inventory and Costco, today, as soon as I finish lunch. Not feeling well the last couple of days, so not much done then - but I have to, today.

Re: Tuesday Round Robin
Hello, friends
.
Tuesdays are often errand & appointment days for me, but I love the flexibility of my weekly plan to change that when needed. Yesterday was "Tuesday" for me, so today I am focusing on Monday things; mainly laundry, some phone calls, & catching up from the weekend. I like the round robin concept, Harriet, & often use it the way OKay does -- pick up & put away in every room.
The idea of being able to do anything for 15 minutes is a terrific concept & it is amazing how much a person can accomplish in such a short amount of time. This video that Pam made on the subject is really inspiring. They used time lapse photography to film what looks like a huge task (stacking a cord of wood). Great visual of what was accomplished in only 15 minutes!

Yes, safe travels to all the travelers. I see that Helia & Kathryn are meeting today -- fun, fun! Must remember to head over to J&C today (thanks for the heads up, Harriet).
Happy (belated) birthday, Sadie!
Either dh or I left a tissue or two in a pants pocket & it got washed. And of course it came apart & stuck to all the wet clothes in the washer. After shaking out each individual piece of clothing my laundry room floor looked like a parade had gone by -- confetti everywhere
. Vacuuming the laundry room wasn't on my to do list for today but had to be done. I hate when I make extra work for myself. Forgot to check the pockets beforehand.
Waving ~~~~~ also to Dee, Twins Mom, Sunny, MT, Nancy, Citylady, & all who stop by later. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Re: Tuesday Round Robin
Greetings to all.
Safe travels to everyone on the road now or going soon.
My round robin has mostly been church work. I went early this AM to help construct the little gift we're giving out as part of the building campaign...and that was fun. Tags and ribbons will go on next week. I waited there for DH to come with his big work truck as he is working in one of the buildings on the new office space tonight. We moved some big heavy equipment out of the way and got things ready for him tonight then we came home.
After lunch I got my minutes typed up ready for our meeting tonight. I'm beginning to wonder if I should take my sleeping bag over there, it feels like I'm at church so much.
At least I got some of my dailies done this morning. Some. Not all. I need to go fold laundry now and clean up a bit around here. Dinner will have to be early so DH can get on the road.
OKay, I hope you get caught up! And don't worry, the gov't will survive without your payment for a while!

LucyLee continues to be on my mind and in my prayers.
Dove - great example of what can be accomplished in 15 minutes! Thank you for the link.
Bookie - I enjoyed your link to travel blog. I want one of those vest! I've never seen one like that.
Dentist appt went okay. They found a tooth that needs a bit of work so another appt was set. I stopped by Sam's for gas and to buy items on list.
I met DH for lunch to do a little celebrating. 39 years ago today we got to hold our first child for the first time.
WOW! Time flies!

Re: Tuesday Round Robin
Dd2 is at the ER with dgd3. She had to pick her up before naptime so that dgd3 could go to dance class. They went home until time to go and dd2 ended up shutting 2 of dgd3s fingers in the door, hinge side. Owwwwwwwww, I had chills just run down my spine when she told me. Dd2 felt terrible. Dgd3 alternated between saying "why did you do this?" to "I'm not mad at you for hurting me." I told her to take her to dd1s school and get her opinion about going to the ER. At first she told her to just get a splint for it. After dd2 left she checked on the internet and told her to be on the safe side and take her to the ER. Dgd3 wanted me to go with them but if they aren't done in time, I will need to pick up the boys. It. is. always. something.
I am anxious to hear about helia and Kathryns visit.
Happy birthing day to Okay. I am sure that your dm enjoyed her visit to see your ds and family. How is your dm adjusting?
Thinking of and praying for our dlucylee.
Happy birthing day also to Emptynester.

Re: Tuesday Round Robin
Good afternoon everyone! I am glad last week is over, I had WAY too much to do. I did survive the weekend. I have all the volunteer shifts filled for the animal org special event. Errands were run yesterday. Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD11. She may want to eat Chinese then go to my house to see dFosterKitten. DFosterKitten did something crazy last night: he play attacked the highest ranking cat in the house. He was quickly shown his place in the pecking order, but there was no bloodshed. DFosterCat4 has been playing with him. I started crocheting the fist of two baby hats that need to be done by June, and taught dFosterKitten not to play with yarn.
My Round Robin will consist of each room in my house after DD goes back to XDH. I have to do general pick up and put out sheets for the maids tomorrow. I also need to remember to put out their check.
Tomorrow, there is an animal org board meeting. When am I going to be able to do the attic work? I also have a small amount of roof work to do. Thursday there is a mission team meeting at church, probably no attic work then either. Friday?
