I remember how much the first book helped me it was the first and best self help book I ever read!
I'm up and at the day today a.m. routine well under way and have bake cookies have a flower bed weeded and watering is nearly done in the front now. Time to think about mid - day stuff. First walk done as well as exercise bike mi. I have a plan for lunch and dinner. Hot spot pick up is next.

Back from taking LO to counselor appt. She is putting him on EOW appts for a while. His anxiety is MUCH better, however it is bubbling up. LO just realized this past week that he has a sister and he is processing that information.
(he has been told about her since her birth, however he is just now starting to put their sibling connection together)
We drove through Carl Jr's to pick up LO some lunch to eat on the way to school. I tried their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. YOWSERS! It was very spicy. I loved it though! My mouth is still tingling.
I'm going to start my morning cards from the top. This morning I just did them as they came to mind so it was hit-N-miss. I suspect I missed more than I did.

Another break, I think I actually worked through the break and then when it counted down to zero it restarted at 25 min so I had to stop it. Obviously the bell isn't loud enough.
Have made bed, straightened bedroom, done kitchen counter, rebooted laundry, s2s with hair drying. Also talked to ds a bit.
Going again....

I'm using 2 timers - one set for 25 minutes and the other for 5 minutes.
I worked on first 30 minutes of cards. Not doing them in order takes twice as long. That still makes NO sense to me.
After my 5 minute break, I'm going to work on the 2nd set of AM cards.

Frustrated as have had at least a thousand interruptions from ds and dd, who is on her way home. There are days that ds is short to the point of being rude, and another day he will talk my ear off. Today is a talk-my-ear-off day and I'm afraid I got a little short.
At this point I am going to punt and give myself down time, then start errands. Need to clean out car before I go out also.

Good day, all.
Nice to read about Kathryn and Helia meeting! I've met Kathryn and Ken, too, and some other SHEs - it's always a delight.
Nasty storm here doing my head no favors... have to figure out something I can do.
I got the first SHE book back in... late 80s? Maybe? Had a card box then, but had trouble dealing with it with my irregular schedule. (Move some cards, have to figure out all over again where the belong...When I (briefly) got online in the late 90s I found the Columbian site - picked my name, then, but only posted a little as I had limited access. Found the boards when I got my own computer in 2000. I found a computerized calendar with ToDo list helped me most, as I could move an individual task without upsetting the long term plan. Now I just have to... open it and do them... But I found the breakdown of tasks very helpful.

Feeling frustrated here. . .I can't get to my teaching! I'm doing all sorts of other things instead - puppy care, laundry, picking up dd14, the dentist this a.m., a jog. .. Those are good things, just not the main focus of what I must accomplish today. I have finally finished the a.m. routine. LOL #1 is folded and put away, lol #2 is in dryer, lol #3 is in washing machine.Puppy is awake and unsettled. Dd14 and friend are downstairs watching a movie, which means I'm on puppy duty. I'm going to try some teaching prep time at the granite table (in the kitchen) and see how that goes. If it doesn't, I'll just put Maia in her crate and bail - and head out to a coffee shop. I need to start cooking in 1:45 to get dinner on the table early enough. It's not like I even have a lot of time to prep this afternoon anymore.
Well, Maia now wants to go outside.

We are back from financial adviser. He is doing a great job - we have been taking $$ out of our accounts for 10 years now and only brought the balance down a bit. Have earned back all we lost during the bad economy and then some so we will have enough for the rest of our lives. Good feeling and it is nice that he looks like he should be on the cover of GQ.
One laughable moment - DH and I got lost heading for the office. These were our old stomping grounds but things have changed. Trees have grown or been cut down, buildings have changed names and facades, and new shopping centers are where there used to be houses. But we found our selves and got back on track.
Favorite Chinese cafe is gone - but one almost as good (but not in decor) opened next door. Main line grocery store is now all Korean foods. DH couldn't even find Oreo cookies.
Time for a major nap. TTFN

Hello Dear Ladies,
Another day of sunshine here.
I spent most of the morning in the kitchen, cooking and washing pans and plastics. The stuff that I don't put into the dishwasher.
My back hurts from standing in one spot too long.
Waving to all.
Off to work.

Frustrated.
Stopping and reminding myself..... It will be OKAY!
DGS18 has decided he is ready to take GED test. I went online to order/pay for the 5 vouchers he needs to take the tests. The website doesn't seem to be working. I've filled out their online form and hit submit twice but nothing happens. I've tried to contact the place by phone....nothing but voice mail. I've emailed them....no response yet. I've arraigned to met DGS18 and his girlfriend in less than 2 hours to give him the test vouchers. ......the vouchers I can't seem to get! grrrrrrrrrr
Time to pick up LO
