Nurse has left. She called cardiologists office from here & gave info on the irregular heart beat and her detection of fluid in 1 lung. Dh did come out in the recliner during the night because he had a hard time catching his breath. Which could be caused by the fluid. So.........now to wait on Dr's call. I'm thinking we may be making a run in there.

Nasty day out, but at least no tornadoes. Took dh down to shower -in the car. But there's so many potholes from all the water that it was somewhat bumpy for dh. I can go around some of them better in the golf cart but it was just too rainy for that.

Visiting nurse just called back. Cardiologist wants to see dh at 11:30 so will be leaving shortly for that. Think I'll feel better. I'll report back later.

A virus is running rampage through DH family. DMIL came by herself to get LO. They are off to swim lessons.
The 3 generations = DMIL, DSisIL, DNeice and her 2 year old daughter. HUmmmm - that is 4 generations, not 3

Tooting my horn that I've walked dogs already (Moe and I did a mile, and the three of us 1/3 mile - will need to be earlier and earlier because of heat and humidity) and that I slept better last night because I did an OMM li&t before bed last night on my iPad.

On the down side, here I sit at 10:30 a.m. still "starting the day."
-breakfast
-must dos for the day
-meds/vitamins
-refill said meds/vitamins
-clear kitchen counters

Yes, the virtual waiting room around here is staying busy. Think I need some magazines to read....

Cheerfulness is linked to pain control. It has been a long morning but we've determined I still need narcotics. Made it through the night on tylenol but by 6 a.m. I had lost control of the pain and even the oral narcotic didn't work this morning so I got a shot 20 minutes ago and am starting to feel like myself.

My roommate was just released. She was wonderful. Terrible diagnosis - bone cancer. So they have a lot to deal with.

I asked to move to her bed (window side) but it has already been assigned. So my flowers will have to go home because I have no place to put them (they are on the bathroom counter right now. The other bed has a window sill so more storage space.

I'm not connected to anything right now but that means I'm also responsible for getting myself to the bathroom. Bladder is working fine.

Now that the pain is under control, I can sit up which I couldn't do an hour ago. Dh wore me out with a phone call but office work has to get done and I was directing him to all the paperwork (which is a mess right now.) We missed paying a bill on Saturday on our main credit card so that will cost us. He's bringing the rest in plus my debit cards and I'll pay them when he's here this afternoon.

The lawn is mowed. Came in and dd2 had called. When I called back, she said that she had called the daycare to tell them that dgd2 has hand/foot/mouth/diaper situation. The ER dr. said that diaper should be added to that list. When she talked to the director, she said that yesterday a lady had brought her child in who happens to be in dgd2s room. The lady had kept her child home for a week but didn't have the common courtesy to notify daycare that her child had it. The director was not happy at all. As soon as a child is diagnosed and they are notified, they disinfect everything. Dd2 says they must do a good job because until now, she hasn't had to deal with it. The director is guessing every child in the room will end up with it.

Kathryn, I am happy that you have the pain under control again. Timing is everything and I am sure glad this happened to you after your dhs Peru trip and before your cruise.

Dee, it sounds like your dh has a great nurse, who is on the ball and not just going thru the motions. I am glad you will be taking him in to see the dr.

My kids had the hand/foot/mouth disease as well, I think most kids are exposed to it eventually and have it so they develop immunity. I just recall that dd had a particularly bad case of it in May just before school was out when in the first grade and she ran a high fever.

Glad that Kathryn has pain under control again - sometimes going w/o meds is the only way to see where you actually stand with regard to pain. Yes, and glad that Mr. Dee is getting back in to see the doc.

Must do:
-Get thoughts together for meeting tonight
-mail pkg to dd at camp
-Groceries, including TP
-Order meds refills
-Cancel appt for dmom tomorrow w pain doc - she doesn't think now that she "needs" to go. (When she said she needed to go was right after she started a round of home PT and I think she was sore, but the pain has subsided.
-erase footprints here at home

I also have a "nice to do" li&t going. I think I mentioned earlier that I never found my Franklin Planner for June - I had taken it upstairs to dd's room the day she packed and it disappeared. Yesterday I ran across a wire bound notebook that was mostly blank so am using it to fill in until July 1. I've felt lost w/o something-to-write-in-to-keep-with-me.

Helia, glad Lilly is doing well. Since you're already giving her meds, I wonder if the vet would want to prescribe something that will sedate her a little so she isn't so active? After dMacs' surgeries, the vets were liberal with Acepromazine, a tranquilizer, to keep him from wanting to be so active.

Dgd3 was going to go to daycare because the dr. said she probably wouldn't get it, since it is mainly toddlers and babies. She will be 4 in Sept. Dd2 took her temp and it was 99 something. I told her to just bring her over here. She is paying dgd16 $8.00 an hour to watch dgd2. I wish I had my shower, but I can trust her long enough for a shower if I turn on the Disney channel for her.

This dgd16 should never have kids. Seriously. Dd2 swears if she does, she is going to tell her to not ask for her help. I will hold dd2 to it or at least try.
