A quick hello and good morning...

I woke with a slight headache this morning so not all morning routines are done. M acy's is having one of their one day sales and I need to get there to buy some more underwear for Sweetie. Remember I bought him new stuff for Christmas and he loves it. The underwear is more expensive that the ones I usually buy at wally world, but the cotton content is much softer. Sweetie's daily uniform is a white t-shirt and jeans. He loves these new t-shirts. I don't have enough to make it through the week, so anothe package of three t's will help stretch my laundry days.

This is the cruelest set back I've had since getting sick. My last meal of solid food was lunch on Friday, June 7. I threw that up. My next solid food was toast at 11 on Friday June 14. In between I was on a clear liquid or nothing-by-mouth diet. Total weight loss over the past week? NOTHING. Not a pound!!!!!

You'd think I'd at least lose something as consolation for going through all this.

Shower is done.

I have a new toothbrush. Dh feels bad. He tidied the bathroom over the week and my toothbrush was on the counter because I had been brushing my teeth each time I had thrown up and left it there. He put it away in my medicine cabinet where there were other toothbrushes. It belongs in his, in the toothbrush mug. So, this morning, when he asked me for a 'cleaning toothbrush' to clean something I reached in and grabbed one and handed it to him. He asked how I knew which were which and I replied, "these are all cleaning brushes." That's when I found out he didn't realize that and had put my toothbrush in there. No biggie, I needed a new one anyway but was waiting for our dental appointments next month to switch. Still he feels bad.

Home w Macs after walking on treadmill in water and swimming, alternating with rest. I sure do wish he could talk to me. He's very happy going there, except when it's time to get in the treadmill tank. She believes he is looking stronger and walking more comfortably. She also does some kind of ultrasound thingie along his spine and hips to relieve inflammation and pain and to help blood flow.

I am going to nap a little. I haven't bought dh anything for Fathers Day...thinking I should run to the mall before I pick him up at 3:30?

Life's just not fair! Dh gained through his surgery too -16#, Kathryn. Slowly that water weight is coming off.

Slept horribly last night and did not want to get up this morning. (((MT))) I understand your angst.

DD was over for a while and got H ulu plus and A mazon P rime going on our main TV. Don't know how much we'll really use it, but we'll see.

DD is rather counting the hours (18, but who's counting?) before she puts gd on the plane for Orlando. DSonil's mother is going with him to pick her up and take her back to the ranch. Really praying there's some hope for that girl. We're all doubting it at the moment. Her counselor called dd mid-trip here. Asked how things were going & dd said, "About how I expected". Counselor: "That's what I figured".

I certainly am not keeping up w/you girls...
I have done absolutely NOTHING today. I felt I deserved it. After traveling Sunday-Tuesday, and keeping dgs Wednesday-Friday... yes, I wanted a lazy day. But of course, I'm feeling guilty b/c I haven't even s2s and I haven't seen dmom since last Saturday, so I think I "should" go out there... * sigh * Of course, I've talked to her almost every day.

Dozens of other "should do's" on my 3x5 also...

s2s would be a great start.

(((MT))) I definitely understand trip angst, but it doesn't sound right coming from you! Maybe you'll feel better once you get all the prep work done.

Boy... I wish MY dmom could spend some time with your dmom, OKay! I know my hopes for dmom may have to be tempered by her true health concerns... Chron's, back trouble, bladder trouble, etc... but * sheesh * I hope she doesn't become a real hypochondriac and give in to all this stuff and let it rule her life. I just keep thinking MAYBE, w/no distractions from ddad, she can take care of herself and start feeling better eventually.

Actually GD is only here for 2 days. She'll be on a plane bound for Orlando tomorrow shortly after noon. Think everyone has her number at this point. Showing her true self unfortunately. At least then dd can relax and enjoy her summer!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SUNNY & MR. SUNNY!

Dd1 and I walked this am, although 1 1/2 hrs. later than normal. After a quick breakfast I mowed the yard. While I was mowing dh was weed eating. Then he started trimming all the boxwoods, so I raked and picked up those leaves, etc.

I had intended to just shower but not style my hair or put on makeup. Dh decided to get started putting up the garage door opener on the back garage. He told me to get ready because I might need to go pick something up. So far I have just had to help a few times.

Thanks to MT I now have the word that I have been searching for over the family reunion. A super dose of angst. Yesterday dh called to verify the days and I told him I had changed my mind again. He told me I needed to make up my mind and I told him I have and it is final. I just have not had a positive feeling about this reunion, since dm and her dniece decided to have it. My dcousin is not married and doesn't have children. She works and plays. She loves to plan events and should be doing it for a living. I just keep beating myself up for not wanting to go and disappointing dm. Then I came to the conclusion that of course she wants me to come so that we can spend time together, since I can't visit her at her home. Well I have wanted her to do something to that house for over 26 years so I could visit her and she obviously isn't worried how I feel about that. We have repeatedly talked about what I am going to be stuck with if something happens to her. She doesn't want to leave me a mess, but does nothing to change it. I have not slept there since March 1987. The last time any of us have been there was after Christmas 1990. At first she kept trying to guilt me into going. She has finally quit. I don't like to be pressured to do things that I don't want to do. She ought to remember that when 10 of them were planning a cruise that took place in January 2012, I did not want to go and didn't appreciate being pressured to go. I am pretty easy going but I can also be very stubborn if I make up my mind about something. My dh will probably go to Colorado that weekend on a bike trip, which is fine with me. I just didn't want to mess with hauling his bike there. He even offered to not take it. But at the last reunion 2 years ago, he was miserable. He really missed my dstepdad being there. They always commiserated at events like a reunion. I will just be glad when this reunion is history.

Guess I will go check on the garage door opener progress.

I mowed our yard this morning then DH loaded the mower up and hauled it to town to mow MPB. I'm thankful to have the mowing caught up so we can ignore it for a few days.

I mixed up & sprayed a gallon of weed killer. It takes about 3-4 gallons to make one pass along the fence lines. However, I had to stop because of the heat. I'm not used to working in it yet.

I brought LO inside to cool down. He is watching cartoons.

Time to slide into Sabbath mode. Doing as little as possible for the next 24 hours.
