It is gray and cool here too, perfect weather for a jog, which dh and I did this morning.
We're still figuring out our vacation week since Santa Fe is likely out of the picture, though dfriend in TX did say that it was raining there now. (Dfriend's camping reservations were cancelled last week due to fires in the area, which also mean no hiking in the national forest nearby, which is one of the main draws for us.) I don't know if it is enough rain to put out the fires. . .Our Plan B is becoming a visit to Glacier Natl. Park, though it is so late that it looks like lodging is pretty well booked up and dfriends in TX don't want to spend a lot of $$ - which means we would likely camp. Packing for camping for 5 to go on a plane and then into a rental car is a big pain in the tookus. . . Maybe we splurge and rent a mini van - but packing is still a pain. I told dh I wasn't really looking forward to this option, as much as I would love to see Glacier. I still remember MT's beautiful photos of the park!! Anyhow, we'll see what transpires. . .
I heard of the group of young firefighters who died in AZ fighting a fire. How awful, how sad.
Dfriend B stopped by this morning with a dress for dd15 to hem. Dd15 also made alterations to another dress that dfriend B loves. The dress is old and out of fashion and so the alterations are to make it wearable in today's styles. Dfriend B is happy with dd15's work. Dd15 is happy to have something to do -- so it is a win-win situation. Dfriend B is paying dd15 too. Anyhow, I chatted with dfriend and eventually went for a short walk with her. So, my morning was jogging, a phone call with dfriend S2, then visiting with dfriend B, poking around online looking at lodging options. I now need to buckle down and get to work.
Next:
- s2s
- lunch
- groc. list made up
- groc. store
Typical crazy Monday evening here. We will try to eat early, before dd17 needs to leave.
6 - 6:55 puppy kindergarten, dd17 should be taking her
7 - 9 Dd15 has drumline practice
7:30 - ? dh has church comm. meeting -- at the church, not our home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. DEE!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NANCY AND DH!
We have been in a loop of rain. All weekend and supposed to be Mon, Tues, and finally easing Wednesday. The rain comes down so hard sometimes. Last night (for hours all night long) we had thunderstorms and lightning that lit up the room. Just a few minutes ago we had another deluge. I stood out on the porch and watched it cascade out of the downspout. Everything is so green now. I'm sure all the places with fires wish they were getting this.
Sorry to read of Mr. Dee's problems recovering, and sorry about all the firefighters.
Kathryn, enjoy your trip. You are doing better than I am. I absolutely could not do a trip like that.
I'd put DH off about the beach trip and Sunday after church between rain storms he wanted to go and I tried. But as the time slipped by I got more tired and more tired and just could not get up the ooomph to do it. I'd thought maybe I could lay on a towel and sleep on the sand. Could not get my stuff together. I ended up going to bed and rested all afternoon. DH said with the storms it was very windy and the surf was so rough he couldn't get in even to his knees.
Get this: while he was there a whole bunch of people came to the water's edge and it was a church baptizing people. They used 2 people, one on each side of each person being baptized. It was so rough that all 3 got submerged every time. He said they baptized about 12 people.
I am right back to where I was when I was first diagnosed with my thyroid. I am sleepy all the time. So discouraging. Taking 2X the medicine now, waiting for it to build up in my system.
We ran to the bank, this time both of us so DH could sign his papers. We have to wait about 3 weeks for this to be final, with one more trip to get the payoff before they schedule the closing. She told me not to pay my mortgage this month (it's due August 1st) so that's good. I am typically a month ahead in my payments.
Going off to a nap now..

Oh, Nancy! Congratulations to you and dh! A wonderful milestone - maybe he is a keeper, ya think?
Happy Birthday, Mr. DeeClutter! I hope you get lots of good info today.
Thinking of Mr. Harmony's experience .... there's a reason we sing, "Shall We Gather at the River". I was once caught in the undertow of a Florida beach storm. That's something to take very seriously, and it would be disturbing, IMO.

Dr appt went okay - this was follow up for sleep apnea. I am to pick up a pulse oximeter which she wrote script for, wear it one night and return. The pharmacy will read results and fax to the doc, who will call me with results. If O2 is normal, it would appear that sleep apnea is being adequately treated with the mouthguard.
I made myself a little pizza with artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, olives, chicken and goat cheese for lunch. I need to go back out - I forgot to send BD cards to dd and her BD is tomorrow, and I need to pick up the pulse oximeter. Around 4:30 I am to meet xBIL (dsis's XH) to get key to her house and walk through. I am bracing myself. He says it smells bad both from cigarette smoke and poor hygiene habits.
On edge again about temple secretary's lack of attention to detail. She sent me and Admin VP wording for approval for something with two very obvious errors in it. I don't know if there's something going on with her personally, but her lack of attention to detail is just a constant right now. Could be that I get on edge about it also and notice more, but it drives me crazy, or until next April 30. I'm done then!

Twins' Mom, I am set,
, helping you brace. You can handle it. I regret now not saying to you the other day to PM me your dd's address because I'm not on fb. If you pm it in the next little while I would make the mail with one, but from me it might not be next day delivery anyhow?

Happy Birthday, Mr. Dee, and LOTS of good wishes for improved health!!!
Happy Anniversary, Mr. & Mrs. Nancy!!! Hope you have a wonderful day and 40 more wonderful years!
Day 1 of "trying harder" is going...

so far, so good.
I walked 3 miles before s2s, and now am waiting on dh to get finished w/his s2s. Then we are going to insurance office -- IF our agent returns -- and to Wmart for groceries. DS called to see if we could keep dgs tonight for a few hours so they could go to a movie. I told him we'd be glad to. Ddil worked Thurs. night and ds has been gone since Friday, so they need some time to themselves, you know.
Need to call dmom. I don't want to be in her face all the time, so I don't call her every single day... but I need to "check in" every other day, at least, I think. She and I both know we stay on the phone too long when we do talk, though, so I don't think she really wants that long call every day.
Also constantly debating how much attention is too much/too little for ddil, when ds is out of town. I didn't even call her Saturday or Sunday, but did send word while dmil was talking to her yesterday that we'd be happy to run errands, etc. if she didn't want to get out w/dgs. She said she was fine. * sigh * Don't want to be a "hovering" mil... don't want to "ignore" her, either. DS said she was fine, no problems there.
Waving to ALL!!!
I do hope the mouthguard is all you will need,
Twins. The other solutions seem like such a hassle. I probably need a mouthguard, myself. DH complains about my snoring!

* Never mind that HE sometimes could wake the dead, himself!!! * I'm using B reathe R ight strips right now, and it seems to help a little bit.
((((((
Harmony)))))) I'm so sorry you're feeling so tired and sleepy and just -- it sounds like, generally yucky. Maybe the meds will build up in your system over time and you'll be back to your normal self.
I know my dmom says often, that she feels like she just suddenly woke up in someone else's body. And sometimes, someone else's house, after being away so long! But I continue to keep hope that she will be back to her normal self again someday, too.

Hello to all!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. DEE!
HAPPY 40th ANNIVERSARY NANCY & DH! Best wishes for many more! ♥
((Dee & dh)). Dee...I'm praying that dh's doctor has some good answers for you and dh!
I'm also praying for all those who have lost so much in the Arizona fires. What a sad tragedy the loss of life is.
We had rain and storms here overnight. Today has been rain and drizzle all day. Tomorrow and Wed. is supposed to be more. Wish I could send some out west. We are supposed to pick up dgkids at our local airport at 6 pm tomorrow. If the weather is stormy with lightning they will divert their flight to a different airport till the storm is out of our area. That is what happened in 2011. Flood advisories are out for southwest and west central FL!
I am all ready for them! Bedrooms are ready and bathrooms have been spiced up. I will run the sweeper once more tomorrow morning.
Kathryn...wishing you a good trip with dh and dfriend!
Helia...hope you get your vacation plans finalized easily. Big WTG for dd and her sewing!
OKay... that calendar system looks good; maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks for the link!
Lilac.... nice to hear your dh got home safely.
Lucy.... I'll be thinking about your drive with dmom!
Lynlee... ((Hugs!))
((Harmony))... hope your meds start working quickly! I know it's so hard to keep up with things needing done while feeling so tired!
Hello to Twins'Mom ...hope your test turns out that you don't need anything more for your apnea.
Dh just came in from a trip to the pharmacy and said "What a miserable day!"
