Twins - YGG!

I'm also feeling a bit numb with (((Harriet)))) news and all she must be dealing with. I'm glad she is surrounded by family.

I was on the phone with ISP at 6ish this morning. We still didn't have internet when we left for church. When we returned, it was working. Not sure how many hours it was down today, but I know it was more than 3 hours. We are going to have to make a decision soon about internet providers. That is how the credit card are processed at MPB. Besides the frustration of us not having internet service, we are frustrating our customers because they can't consistently use credit cards @ MPB. One of the big downsides of living in the country is we have very limited internet provider options to choose from.

Church was wonderful this morning. Meal afterwards was @ local country cafe in booth with friends. LO is down for a nap.

I had cream of carrot soup for dinner. The Tim Horton's didn't have any soup I could eat but they did give me a packet of crackers and then I had the head nurse (now called Team Leader in Charge) help me pick a soup I would like (since I don't generally like cream soups.) The Team Leader lives a mile or so from me so that was a nice surprise.

I then 'crashed' really fast. Was on the phone with ds and felt really ill (overtired, pain, shakes) and so lay back, put on the heating pad and called for my narcotics. I'll feel better in a few minutes. Dh was surprised at how fast my body failed me.

I'll rest until ds is here to take me for a walk. I have another bowl of the soup to have for a snack before bed if I want it. Since there is nothing by mouth after midnight and we have no idea when my procedure will be tomorrow, I want to eat and drink as long as I can so I'll have some strength to get through the day. I thought I was to go on an IV but apparently, I'm not.

Hello everyone! I managed to get to church on time today. Then I came home and did a fast 15 minutes in the west end of my house. DD11's room, the hall, and the guest bathroom are done. Normally, I have DD on Sunday, but she is in Alabama at Camp Grandma. One of the camp events yesterday was the wedding of XDH and the other woman. DD is not happy at camp, and has not been happy with her XDH side cousins for a long time. She is the youngest and they pick on her. She called me very upset that XDH has gone on a honeymoon and did not take her. I had to tell her that kids do not go on honeymoons. I have no idea where they went and XDH had never even told me the date. In fact, he never told me he was getting married, he let DD do his dirty work. Of course, they deserve each other.

I have eaten lunch, run numerous LOLs, done 30 min of database work, then 15 min of LR clean up, then 15 min of reading a book and coming here to post. The LR still needs a little work, but it is not too bad. The next rooms to work on are the kitchen and my bedroom and bathroom. My plan for today is 30 min database, 15 min clean up, 15 min fun. I did find the problem in the database program that was giving me so much grief last time I worked on it.

kathryn: I hope you recover quickly.

harriet: I am so sorry for your loss.

Elizabeth: I'm not overly impressed with how Xdh has handled this remarriage. It is hard on kids when their families change and even harder if they are an after-thought. She feels like an after-thought in your description of the situation.

{Elizabeth}.

Kathryn, sorry this is dragging on for you.

We had our little road trip today. I got up really early and packed a nice picnic. Ride out there was interesting. One of the back roads was detoured and the detour took us into land that was almost swamped and over a single-lane bridge that was just barely above the water. We held our breath.

The state park was interesting, even with the museum closed and the tram not running because of the water. The walking paths were not under water except for a couple of them and those were closed. The most we ran into was some muck. It was very neat in the hammock of trees. The trees were so thick the sun was practically blotted out. Some of the trees were as big as any we've ever seen. There were palms, oaks, cyprus and wild citrus. I'm very glad the mosquito repellant worked!

We stopped at another small park on the way back just to see what it was like. Got home before 6 so the day was just right. DH walked as much as he could, we both were very careful with the ground because there were a lot of roots to step over. On the last trail we did the trail and then DH waited at the end till I brought the car up.

I will look for someplace else close to go in a few weeks. I think it will help both of us to get away for a bit now and then.

We had a nice evening with our former neighbor - I'm sure many of you remember her. We lived next door to her for 16 years and went through a lot together, including her dh passing away, while living there. Her sons are older than my kids and are finally getting somewhat settled with "real" jobs finally. Nice dinner and all went well. Dh did most of clean up while I took ddogs out for a walk. It's not raining!

Joining others - hugs to others in the grief stirred today.

Elizabeth - I am sorry your X is so insensitive to the needs of his daughter, and that there was no prior discussion about what was best for her at this time. Sometimes the selfishness of our x's is shown up most clearly in how they treat our children.

Kathryn - I do hope you feel better soon.

I went to church yesterday. changed my library book - got 2 out. short stories and a book of prayers.

today
an early start
ct scan showed the bone wasn't quite in the right place, though it will heal well enough, the joint was ok, and advice is that surgery might make things worse. I have a new foam sling. My wrist isn't sure of it yet.
re elbow - doc noted the bruising there, oked the xrays, arthritis, adding if there was something chipped somewhere the mobilisation needed would be the same. What I had seen on the xray he said was not of any issue. I got the 3rd different version of how to do the exercises. next visit is 3wks away.
bus home - driver stopped at the end of my street.

Quiet evening.

Dh went home, I rested, napped a bit, played on the computer and then ds came and took me for a longer walk. When we got to the entrance of the ER, the two ambulance bays were full so extra ambulances were discharging their patients outside. Ds ran over and opened the door for the the EMTs to get the gurneys through. We came back up to the room after a trip to the cafeteria (closed from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day and takes cash only) to pick up a tray. When closed, it is used by non-medical staff as a staff room. We then took my leftover soup to the microwave on my floor and heated it up.

I'm going to have my last bit of water now to take my narcotics and then switch back to injections after midnight (since I can't have anything by mouth.) I have 25 minutes to get that done and brush my teeth so the bell has been rung.

I'm paying bills now since I decided to stay up as late as possible in the hopes of sleeping through the night. Don't know if I'll be able to do it, but I intend to try.

Still don't know the who, when, and why regarding the procedure tomorrow, just the where (here) and the what (ERCP). Will have to advocate hard for myself in the morning. Since we don't know the when, dh can't time things to be here to be with me either.

It is finally quiet here, everyone is in bed. Dfam#2 was here for supper and visit; they stayed long enough to watch one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. We are still waterlogged here, but dgs11 was able to get the front yard mowed before rain this evening.

I haven't posted or cuop since Thur. the 4th. Thursday evening we went up to ds#2 house to watch fireworks by the BlueJays stadium, but just as we got there they cancelled because of storms moving through the area at the time. So ds and the dgkids set off the package of fireworks we brought along with theirs. It started raining, but was warm enough so we just sat there and watched anyway. There were lots of other people around the neighborhood with their own fireworks so we did get to see some. Ddil had gone to the Dr. on Wed. and got some more med. Turned out her woozy feeling and sinus/tummy upset was from her allergies. She was feeling much better tonight.

Friday we didn't do much because it was looking like more rain. We ate lunch out then took the long way home past the intercoastal waterway. We stopped at a small overlook I guess you could call it; it has just a few parking places and a couple of stone benches, but has a nice view of the water and the island across the way, nice sunset views. We were there for about 10 min when it started to rain hard, so we went home.

Saturday the dgkids wanted to go to the beach. We went to the County Park and stayed for about three hours. It being a Saturday and a holiday weekend there were so many people there, mostly families. But it was nice; the tide was coming in, but the water was warm enough and not rough at all.

We've been playing lots of board games and card games with dgkids. Dh and dgs have been playing chess.

I want to go back to cuop the last few days now. I hope everyone's weekend has been good. I've been thinking of Kathryn, Mr. Dee and Lynlee and others.

Adding, after cuop...
So sorry to read Harriet's sad news. Praying for dfamily.
