I'm having a weird morning. I've started several things but had to stop for one reason or another. Last task I started/stopped was weed-eating the yard. I got set up and started .....just in time for it to start sprinkling. So I stopped and put equipment away.
I did finish making a large bowl of pica de gallo. I looooove how easy the food processor makes this dish. From start to finish it only took 32 minutes.
LO has been super clingy since Saturday. He is staying right beside me and almost panics if he can't see me or DH at all times. Hopefully his anxiety will decrease as time passes. His counselor is not available this week. He has an appointment to see her next week.
Next up - 30 minutes focusing on drum lessons.

Re: Multi-tasking Monday
Moving day here - so I'm trying to get the trailer ooze back where it belongs. Debating weather to go to the shower or not. It is cold (67*) and misty out. Know the shower house isn't heated and I hate to be nakid, wet and cold. I might just stick my head under the faucet and tame the bed head and deal with the rest tomorrow.
Our gray tank (kitchen and shower waste water) isn't full and we will dump the tanks as we leave this park. So I think an in house wash up is the better answer.
We are going to follow the Missouri River from MT to ND and SD. We will be stopping at the Corps of Engineer Parks at the dams along the way. With our National Parks Card the campsites are only $8-9 per night so it is economical as well as beautiful.
See you in ND this afternoon.

No mange, thank goodness. Maia is having an allergic reaction (to what?) that has gotten infected. Now, she has antibiotics to take for 2 weeks.
Moving slowly - got the kitchen cleaned up. Made the groc. list, except for chili ingredients. Dh has gotten most of the camping gear packed and loaded in the van already. Dd17 has gotten most of the dog stuff packed up, and she is off at her 2nd meeting. a.m. routine is done -except for a shower. I'd better do that next.

Helia I too am moving slowly, but I finally got moving did my walk before it got any hotter.
Yesterday I straightened the book case and I'm sorting journals. Found my Happiness File Notes in one of the mead comp. note books so I'm thinking of doing a review in Aug. or Sept.
Journals over 2 yrs. old will be briefly gone through and tossed looking for recipes w/ eggs in them for my blog mostly.
Some books I've read need to be donated to the library.
Three grand kids will be arriving shortly BabyN. will not be here until Thurs. her mom had arranged her schedule to have more time w/ the baby during the week a good thing. BabyN. has a doc. apt. to see if she has allergies b/c she had such a bad diaper rash last week but it was better on Mon.

Re: Multi-tasking Monday
Good morning, world! And especially good morning to our little village!
Okay, I must say I envy you that 5-hour sleep cycle. I think I am partly adjusting to dh’s schedule, but I also believe I really need about 9 hours sleep every night! It probably has a lot to do with the Paxil, too, now that I think of it. But honestly, I could probably sleep round-the-clock if I let myself. On average, though, 8-9 hours seems to be my natural sleep cycle. I guess that’s “normal” but I wish I could wake up earlier and feel refreshed.
(((Harriet))) for bad sleep, too.
(((BIG HUGS))) for Mr. Dee, and you, Dee. I hope you get some better news and you both do get to go see the movie w/dgs – sounds like a fun outing that would do you both good!
Dmom told me to call her this morning and remind her to send a card to dfriend in her SS class who was just talking about her husband being so discouraged. He has Parkinson’s disease. Dmom and I understand sooo well what she is facing with that, after watching my dgdad battle that disease for so long.
Harriet – I absolutely HAVE TO print a hard copy of my Excel sheet. I keep it on my bathroom counter w/my cardfile and my little 5x8 journal/to-do list. I just cannot operate well from the computer. I’d end up sitting here all day long if I tried to use the computer that way, LOL! No, I need that checklist in front of me every minute of the day. (Not that I spend my entire day in the bathroom, LOL, but that is sorta my personal office space, too. I do my daily Bible reading there, and I keep all my SHE stuff there.)
I had to smile at Lilac’s dd’s going-away… sounds like my dparents back in the day…
(Seldom happens here, b/c dh is so OCD).
(((Lynlee))) I am just so sorry you are having so much to deal with with this fracture.
Oh – today’s question – well, I multitask with the machines, too. Very proud of myself right now – sheets are in the washer. Sometimes – when I remember! – I try to do dusting, ironing, etc. while on the phone.
I need to go out and walk, but first I MUST take care of this dratted insurance stuff. Grrrrr…
Waving to helia, Twins, Kathryn…
Nancy – I like napping while listening to tv, too… yes… very common multitasking activity here…
(((LO)))
Waving to MT… travel safe!!!
We’ve been over this before but let me ask again – Nancy – your journals are NOT for posterity or anything, right? It seems like you throw them out rather regularly. I probably should focus on that task now that I’m retired. I need a shredder.

Oh yes… I resemble THAT remark…Single tasking would be an improvement for me. Multi-tasking currently is a pie-in-the-sky dream.

Re: Multi-tasking Monday
Hello Dear Ladies,
Working on getting the house in shape again. Typical Monday!
Guys cooked over the weekend and left some pots and pans. I always try to do the pans up immediately after using them, but the guys don't think that way so I put them in some soapy water and washed the counters, microwave and stove while they soaked. And Tada! Hardly any scrubbing needed.
I woke up early too, grabbed the book I had been reading and put my light on low and finished the last few pages of the book.
I'm trying to organize the kitchen cupboards. I'm buying small plastic containers and putting things into them. I can reach the container easier than trying to stretch to reach small things that get pushed to the back. I doing this in my bathroom cabinet too.
Dbrother is talking to me and it is hard to type too, so will try to write more later.

Re: Multi-tasking Monday
Back from the Dr, ate lunch and getting ready to go to the movies.
Dr. took dh off the Metoprolol tartrate he's been on. Put him back on the Lasix for as long as swelling is a problem. There is fluid around the heart but it's not impeding the ability of the heart to 'squeeze' as it should. He thinks the heart rate is too low causing the great fatigue. Hoping the shortness of breath & the coughing go away with the reduction of fluid. So we'll see how he does in the next week. Dr. feels he's really doing well (for the shape he's in).

Re: Multi-tasking Monday
lucylee, dd2 asked us to caravan with them to California. When I first told dh this, he readily agreed. After sleeping on it, he wanted no part of it. I know him well enough to know that it would not work.
Am I and my dds the only women whose husbands do not hear what they say? Dh and I went over our weekend plans. I have a hair appt at 2 on Friday. I thought dh would work and then we could leave once he got home, since we are only going 3 hours the first day. I had told him I would wash the car this week, so he would put those lights up yesterday, instead of washing the car. He calls this am and tells me that we can wash it some evening this week, so that I don't have to do it. To which he replied, aren't we leaving Friday? I told him after my hair appt and when he gets home from work. Well he had taken Friday and Monday off. So I guess we can wash it Friday morning, if it doesn't get done any sooner.
We are looking forward to spending time with his sisters but his oldest sisters husband is a pain. Think cousin Eddie from all the Vacation movies and multiply him by 100. On top of that he is a smart aleck and goes out of his way to be uncouth. It is all we can do to deal with him. That is why we will just be there from late Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday and leave Monday morning. If dh had his way, we would leave late Sunday afternoon and at least go the 2 plus hours to where dm lives.
Guess I better go to Walmart and run other errands. Will go to the grocery store tomorrow.

Dee, the doctor's ideas sound pretty encouraging right now. I hope things improve!
Sadie, good job tackling cupboard organization. Wondering if one of those scissor-like salad-tongs would help you sometimes reach an errant kitchen item that slips far back/high.
lucylee, that makes perfect sense. Yes, keep it where it works for you, and that may not be the screen of a computer that is calling you to other sites.
A second load of laundry finished through to drip-dry. Some of the gift houseplants

Re: Multi-tasking Monday
Hello there!
I dropped off library book, mail, and recycling this morning. Then made a quick trip to grocery to get specials and use coupons as I just did a big shopping trip on Saturday. Now we are all set for at least 10 days.
There is bbq chicken in the crock-pot. Will make macaroni salad to go with that along with red grapes. Talked to Dd for an hour. Had to charge my phone after that.
Harriet, I remember all the plants we received for my father's funeral. I couldn't take any home with me on the plane and DM had no room for them. We gave them to various cousins who were thrilled to get them. I did buy myself a peace lily later when I got back home. They take very little care. I love mine.
lucylee, I have a third cousin that I am close to, also. We take great pride in the fact that our grandmothers were first cousins and our dads were second cousins. Our children are fourth cousins, but they do not know each other.
