Wow -- I just looked and saw that I had not posted in about five days! Good gracious. I cannot seem to get computer time into my "new" daily routine, somehow. Of course, we were out of town on Saturday, and then slept just about all day Sunday to recuperate.

Anyway -- I'm so out of the loop here! I've checked in and tried to cuop just about every day -- just haven't had time or taken time to post.

(((Dee & Mr. Dee))) re: meds conflicting w/other meds, causing other problems... I've seen that so often w/dfil and ddad, and with dmom.

DS & I are are about to go out for a walk -- ds likes to come over here and run b/c we live out in the country and he doesn't feel he has the "audience" of his neighborhood. Strange that ds would be self-conscious about anything but he is -- unless he has his guitar around his neck, LOL! (Hard to run w/a guitar around your neck!)

Yesterday, ds, ddil, and dgs went w/dh & me to visit dh's cousin. He has lost a LOT of weight, and they are now talking Hospice... but as usual, he was in great spirits, just wanted to talk about us, etc... He is such an inspiration.
I need to call and check on MY cousin... but so hesitant to call b/c I know they don't really want to talk about it a lot. Yet I want them to know I care, you know... Maybe a card is in order.

May go to church picnic tonight. DS & church band are playing and dgs would enjoy the time at the park... but ooohhh... I'm kinda lazy about it, too. I'd like to go, but TOM is expected, plus it will mean a trip to grocery store to pick up some sort of dessert... * sigh * but I will probably go. It will be easier to leave at MY time, and just leave dgs w/ds... rather than wait on ds to come pick him up here. DH wants to go to a movie later tonight since my weekend may be spoken for, w/dmom's surgery, etc.

That's tomorrow -- at least, we will go tomorrow and spend the night in a hotel, so we can be at the surgery center bright and early on Friday. Home again Friday night, and dbro & his gf will be w/dmom until Monday. That's the plan. Of course, I'll be going out to check on dmom Sat. & Sun. anyway. I'm not going to just ignore her and them all the time they're here.
I love a good noisy family gathering, but it's difficult to cope with for 12 hours in a row, several days in a row.
Ditto THAT, BookSaver!!!

(((BIG HUGS))) Twins… re: dh’s “mood.” Men can just be so exasperating!!!

Computer is doing ITS exasperating thing again now – freezing up on the village site. This just happens when I’m typing in the reply box – not when I’m just reading posts. Anyway, ds & dgs have arrived and I should get off the computer, anyway. Waving to ALL & TTYL!

Lucylee: Usually, a computer freezing when you are posting like that indicates the processor is doing something else in the background. Does it only do it when you are posting here (and not anywhere else you are entering info?) I might try another browser if I were you.

The musician for Sunday called and chatted for over an hour. I have the hymns. She gave me more background on the church for the service. It is a church in conflict and music is a huge part of that. She is the former musician and is filling in for the summer. We picked all oldie-goldies since the praise band won't be there at all.

After that I put a load of laundry on the line. Started in on 15s and got a bit distracted moving the electric fireplace from the bedroom to the dining room. Took photos and it is now up for sale. The bedroom is still upside down but eventually dh's dresser will move back in. That's our 'moving' goal for the week. Once we had the space, I moved his clothing to the smallest bedroom and converted that to the exercise/men's dressing room. But in the new place we won't have the space so we have to get used to using one room as our bedroom.

We are planning a movie tomorrow afternoon so I have to get the sermons written. I'm so behind....

Hello Dear Ladies,

Another HOT day here. DH and oldest son have gone out for lunch. I didn't feel like going today, went out last night to eat and that will be fine with me for awhile. Seems like I can feel the weight going on as I'm eating out. Try to eat healthy even if I'm out but who knows what they add to make it taste the way it does.

Dailies are done. :D

I'm going to be starting the last book of my mother's Danielle Steel collection. She had twenty of her books. I'm going to read the latest Dan Brown book when I finish. I don't know if I'm a big DS fan, her books seem to have a lot of sadness in them. Maybe after I've read a bit of my tastes again, I see what some of DS latest books are. But Dmom collected Debbie Macomber and Sherryl Woods too which I'll go through too. I'm savoring them right now. Sometimes I find a little note stuck in one of her books and it's like a treasure to me.

When I buy new books now, I usually get them for my I-phone, it saves on space and no dusting. thinking of getting some more audio books too of favorite authors but they can be expensive so won't get too many of those. But I like to "read" while I'm loading the dishwasher or doing other mindless chores.

going to relax a bit and then have to head off to work. Think I'm working by myself again tonight. Dear co-worker Sharon got married today! And I know she won't be there.

Great day to all!

Thought I hear thunder so clothes are off the line. They are dry and put away. No sun today but it was very windy so they dried quite quickly.

Ds saw the picture of the fireplace on my FB (I'm offering it to his friends at a discount) and couldn't figure out where it was in the house (since we moved it from the bedroom to the dining room before taking pictures.)

I had french toast and bacon for lunch and feel decidedly sick now. Bad choice.

Awww, Kathryn.

Took a nap for a bit. Dh says he feels like c r a p this afternoon. I'll be so happy for him when he even can string one whole day of feeling good. His visiting nurse came for the last time today. We're all sad to say good-bye. She did give us her address and encouraged to call her if we have any questions. After 9 weeks of seeing each other several times a week, we've become good friends. Dh ended up giving her 2 different gift cards to T im H ortons. Keep expecting to run into her there at some point.

Well, I hadn't planned to nap quite so long, but I obviously needed the sleep. 3 1/2 hours, yikes.

angrygreycatreads ~ You joined while I was out of town so I haven't chatted with you yet. Is this your first time posting with us, or are you a returning member? You seem to know our lingo.

Hi, greycat. Glad to see you popped over here.

Hi, everybody.

We had another girl over mid-day and just got back from dropping her off. She had dyed her hair blue since we've seen her, and HRH, who has known her since birth, was quite honest in his walk-by opinion. "You're turning out pretty, but you've been attacked by a Smurf."

Have been working on too many projects at once. Need to make some kind of organization of projects and then organization within the projects!

The company from which I ordered the fondant I was interested in using for the cupcake decorating emailed. They apologize but they shouldn't have continued showing it for sale - they are out and are refunding. Sigh. Double Sigh. I could just forget it, except that on the strength of that availability I already ordered the other supplies, which will be wasted purchases without the fondant to use them on. At this point, I'll have to drive 3 towns away to buy in time. Dd33 says I'm nuts to have started trying to learn about cupcake decorating when I'm so swamped, but if I don't have a little creativity I may implode.

The image for one of the new US stamps for the holidays is now available to view on the net if any who send cards are interested. It will be issued in October. A poinsettia blossom.

Having posted, now maybe can CUOP soon. Sorry.

Today I put the broody hen in the isolation cage it was in the shade and cooler than in the coop she looked stressed. 14 eggs was the count today two were cracked so I had those for brunch.

Dgd #2 is here watching cable TV a treat as her folks do not have it. H. is home from work and resting now.

I've watered the bushes trees and most of the shrubs along the N & W fence lines today.

Dh just called and they are an hour and a half away. He said he is still full from lunch. I am glad that he called, because I have something simple to make since it will just be me for supper.

Today when I went to Walmart they were redoing the east entrance, so you could not enter or leave from it. On top of that they are resurfacing the highway in front of it. It will be a real mess at the busiest time of day. I will try to go in the mornings until they are done.

We haven't had rain yet, but there are a lot of clouds out there and heavy rain is in the forecast.
