I agree with today's thread title not sure why how ever, I'm just really unmotivated. Just when I thought my schedule would really be freed up I find out that will not be the case not as much as I thought any way. Dgd was here until bed time yesterday.
I need to get busy with some of the basic chores.
I've done the first of the a.m. stuff today.
Next up
make bed
dishes
duds
It just dawned on my that I've had some sinus issues and that may have contributed to my lack of energy yesterday. Today after rain and wind last night it's is less smokey out and I"m better yea! Just having that insight helps!
Have a great day everyone.

I've continued to putter again today. I seem to get a LOT more done that way. Little jobs, individually noted and then WALLAH -a whole bunch of things are done. Washed my hair, cleaned the bank of drawers by the stove, rearranged the dish cupboard, did the dishes, took care of clean dishes from yesterday (now I have a drainer full again).
This may seem silly to some of you, but I think I'm going to start taking our golf cart down to the other end of the campground, where there are no or very few campers. No permanents, hoping I can get a few successive minutes of walking in. Think I procrastinate here because my mind says -you'll have to stop "here" or "there".
Dh finished winterizing an RV today -people left on Wednesday. He got the low point drains open yesterday afternoon & couldn't do any more. He came in a little while ago and has gone to shave/shower. He was beginning to droop, so wanted to get that done while he could. Though not much weight has come off, he did say he thinks some of the swelling is starting to reduce. I hope so. Says he slept well last night. Really? I was awake till about 1:30 because he was tossing, turning & coughing. Said he came out to the recliner about 2.
How I wish we had our enclosed room added on. Then while we have company dh could go out there & snooze, sleep.
Have to go rest my back. Have something going on with my upper spine that's beginning to 'worry' me. Have a 'buzzing' happening there that I just can't put my finger on. I don't need any issues right now (do we ever?), not with all of dh's going on. I'm beginning to slightly worry if we'll be getting out of here early November.
I'm getting too old for this stuff.
Seems like there should be an age cutoff, doesn't it?

Like in "we've served our time"?

Sitting here, looking at my list.
Much the same here,
Kathryn. And things keep splitting into two to-dos on me. I am decreasing the total a little, tho.
Painter has been here and gone and cleaning lady is at work. I need to leave around 12:45 for massage, and then be back here by 2:45.

Didn't work on the list but all my upstairs weekly chores done (strip & remake the bed, clean the bathroom, put out fresh towels, vacuum and dust.)
Now have to decide if I continue with weekly chores from yesterday, or go back to my master to-do list.
Ds is up. He has a nasty cold and isn't sleeping well, although he got some rest in the recliner last night. He had good news from work. He currently has two jobs at the hospital, part time (5 shifts every 14 days guaranteed) on switchboard, casual (2 shifts every 14 days guaranteed) in ER admissions. He has known for 9 months he can take a leave of absence from the casual job so he'll have a job when he returns from Australia. The person in charge of his part-time job, which he has only had since June, took him aside last night and told him that he was being bumped down to casual and being put on a leave of absence on Sept. 29. So that means he'll have two jobs to come home to! He's really pleased.
Back to work now for me!

I'm ahead of schedule so far today! Made grocery store run to pick up coupon items, unloaded dw, made bed, read Bible. Happy to report that 4 large items will be picked up by local charity next week. Can't wait to see the empty spaces left behind!
Made decision about bathroom remodeling. Old whirlpool tub has to go. We won't miss it and will fill the empty space with something more useful. We've been in limbo about this for so long. Now I just need to find a plumber to disconnect and cap off the pipes...our plumbing is a little weird. This house was built by a builder who seems to have used leftovers from other jobs for many things around here...not good!
BTW, I am a champion putterer. I agree that puttering is doing those little things that no one notices unless they aren't done!

Good Morning Dear Ladies,
Made it here just before 12 my time.
Last day of my vacation. Tomorrow it is back to WM.
Looking around I see I haven't accomplished very much in this house. It needs a good dusting. But I do feel rested so maybe I can get on a good schedule. that is always my goad it seems, get on a good schedule.
DH brought the mail to me and I dealt with it right away. Had a form for Dbrother to fill out and I did that and got it ready to mail back out.
Will putter on something this afternoon. Don't want to get tired out as tomorrow is a long work day for me.
Great day to all!

Good morning everyone! Last night I did not get much done on my list because I had dinner with a friend. She made gnocchi, which I had never had and I like it! I got eggs from her chickens, but also saw the @#$%!!! rooster attack her child twice. I did get some of the fabric put away, but not all of it. DD and her friend got out ALL my fabric to make projects. I decluttered one book. I found one of the not-so-dCats had an accident on my bed again, but this time during the day. So, I am still separating cats to figure out who it is and haul them off to the vet. (In my house, accidents have always been results of illness, usually UTIs). I am washing a lot of LOLs of bedding.
I have DD11 all weekend, but have had some changes in plans. I was going to take her to the knit/crochet group tonight (she wanted to go), but had forgotten a dinner with church friends. Saturday remains the same - the survival expo. Sunday, there is a special combined worship service at church, followed by a potluck. I like those because I see friends that usually go to the first service. However, there is a memorial service for my boss from a previous job that I will be going to instead. I will take DD, then we will go to the amusement park as planned. I have printed directions to it.
Tuesday, I discovered another activity that DD likes that I would have NEVER in a million years expected: weeding! I am not sure if we will have time this weekend for that, but I assured her that we would indulge in that activity frequently. I also found out that XDH has her on medication for anger issues. Not sure if that is a good idea or not. It is just a trial, but it seems to me that anger might be a reasonable response to the situations she has been forced to deal with. Then again, she has had anger problems all her life. I just don't know.
In a few minutes I am having lunch with a friend.

Finally got the a.m. routine done.
I'm moving slowly and being a little distracted.
Some devo time next, and then I'll run errands: groc. store first b/c I'm worried about traffic later, especially now that the boutique shopping area near us just opened. . . . 2nd run will be: bank, TJ, Walgreens. I'll keep laundry going. I'll also start working on the bookshelves. I hope to go for a jog around 5 pm. Since we ate out so much this week, we're just going to have tamales at home for dinner. We can sit on our patio and eat.

Sadie, that's wonderful that you feel rested and well.
Elizabeth, I'm frankly glad to hear that your x has had some times he had to personally deal with dd's anger issues away from you, and has had to try to make decisions about it. It's good he's having to step up and be "front man". I know one of your great frustrations was that he didn't always acknowledge your struggles.
I've made two online orders - one for the backpack and one for blue-blocking lightbulbs and glasses for the evening hours so that hopefully dd will get better quality sleep this year on the super-early schedule that really does seem so hard. This year the days could theoretically become even earlier because the school is going over to "universal" breakfast, so there's a free breakfast there before the first bell and all you have to do is show up. I hate to say it, but we probably won't take advantage.
I personally believe the concept of a large breakfast resulting in better schoolwork is outdated and inaccurate. Some people are just made lethargic. What has been proven in many studies is that later starts to school days result in better schoolwork, but the system here doesn't seem to acknowledge all those studies. Or maybe can't figure out how to implement.

Just finished off my last bag of 'crack' candies (the cherry ones that notorious dealer Harriet got me hooked on) and so placed an order for those and some furnace filters. They cost 2x as much because I have to pay shipping and a UPS store charge (they can't be shipped right to Canada.) Oh well, the money I'll save on gas and toilet paper (my other border run items) as well as the furnace filters will cover the candy addiction. And that was one of my to-do items.
The border run will happen on the 31st.
Next up, pay bills.
I need to go work at the farm in 45 minutes. The fall plant sale for the church is tomorrow and we are going over to help set up by lugging plants from the nursery and fields over to be displayed on the lane.
Paid bills and transferred some money. Remembered to print off the receipts for the candy and furnace filters since I'll need those when I cross the border.
