Doing better today -- and still had time for a good nap after church!

Sunday chores are mostly completed...
* watered plants
* washed Sunday dishes (LOL -- this consists of the single pan dh prepares his soup in, but it's one of the only things we don't put in the dishwasher for some reason)
* discarded old magazines
* laid out clothes for tomorrow
* checked/reorganized card file for tomorrow
* refilled vitamin container (not a hard task b/c apparently I only took vitamins two days last week) :roll:
* changed sheets
* read the paper
* talked to dmom on the phone

I think dh has it in his mind that we will go ahead and do our grocery shopping tonight, since I will be gone most of the day tomorrow... and tomorrow, I will be sooo glad we did... but ugh -- tonight, I am not looking forward to it.
Also would like to go to a movie tonight... but that might also make tomorrow a harder day.

We are home from our weekend adventures. LO fell asleep as soon as we started home and slept for hours.

We ate at a great Tex-Mex resturant last night and then stopped by sporting store to get DGS7 a sport shirt to wear this week (clothing theme at his school). We ended up buying all the Grandchildren new backpacks and shoes. They were thrilled.

We have 20 minutes left before we start our new work week (5pm Sunday). It was a fun break, but I'm looking forward to getting back to normal doings.

Hey ya'll

I didn't sleep very well last night and was up early this morning. Started picking up my footprints and before I knew it i had removed most of my summer clothes, stacked the ones for next year in one pile and made a GW pile for everything I didn't want. I was in a ruthless mood which is good.

I cleaned the master bath, made the bed and started pitching all my old magazines ...just like Lucylee..in my living room. Sweetie pulled me aside and said...for someone who didn't sleep last night you sure are a burst of energy.

Came into my office and started a major decluttering effort, but ran out of steam. Took a quick break, at my lunch and then ave the dogs a bath. Phew...and its barely a little after two.

Found this video on my phone just before I gave my dogs their beauty treatments. Sweetie and I sat on the couch and laughed till the tears rolled down our eyes. Thats when I said...I've got to post this for the girls.

Waving to ya'll...I'm on a roll and want to keep going..... Have a good laugh on me.

Well, this a.m. I was feeling like Ms. Crabby Pants! :x I didn't know why. :?: But like DH said, "All you need to do is look outside!" :lol: It was a dark grey sky, blowing-in-the-wind trees and bushes, pouring down rain, and UGH! :roll: So I got this email from Dsis, who just moved to Utah! She had her home phone # in the email! :idea: :lol: I CALLED her, asked her all about her weather! :D :D

She had sunshine, of course, cactus in the area and red clay-like dirt in the fenced back yard, which is great for their dogs. She was wearing a TANK TOP AND SHORTS! :shock: I was wearing a turtleneck and sweat pants! :lol: I had set the timer, so I talked to Dsis for 20 min., got a little walk in and after lunch I napped 1 hour in the recliner. Oh, one other thing. I asked DS, "Do you have A/C?" and she said, "Yes, and those paddle lights!" I asked, "What in the heck are paddle lights? Never heard of them." She said, "You know..... they're lights that go in the ceiling with paddles on them and they go around in circles!" I said, "OH! YOU MEAN CEILING FANS!" :lol: I got the biggest kick out of that! I need to learn new ideas, on how people say words or descriptions different, because I write stories and poetry, so the more unique something is told to me, in a word usage, I file it in my filing cabinet inside my mind to use later. :idea:

After my nap, I got to thinking about things:
1 - I need to keep the office door open now that the fireplace insert from the great room is heating it up.
2 - I needed to get all breakable items off the desk because Miss Kitty Cat jumps up on things to "investigate"!
3 - It's Autumn today and I have two $1 items for the wall for Autumn decor.

So I put the "Welcome" straw wreath up in my office with a scarecrow on it with turning leaf-color hands. I put up a gunny sack scarecrow wall-hanging, too. I moved some items off the walls, put all breakables up, except for a clock, which is in a place she cannot knock it over. I put books away, took crystal bookends off the desk with books, and put things up and away, dusted the desk and it looks so nice in here now! They say something like a clean desk means a creative mind. :idea: We'll "see" how this works in real writer-living-working-at-home life. ;) It's been fun to clean up and redecorate.

I hope everyone's having a Happy Fall today, meaning Autumn and not falling down! :!:

Geez I have paddle lights in 6 rooms and had no idea!!!

Dinner is over, cleanup is over, ds is home and in his room, the wardrobe is delivered, and I've posted the next item for sale - 4 alloy Toyota rims with snowtires.

I have 3 snow tires (no wheels) as well, but we don't have a picture of them so I'll post those tomorrow after taking pictures. Why 3? We picked up a damaging nail toward the end of the season, needed new summer tires so bought those and put them on and figured we'd deal with the winter tire situation in the fall. We sold the van before the next winter and forgot about the tires in the attic. It actually took us a while to remember why we had 3 tires!

Groceries bought and put away... dmil's delivered to her... (all except her fig newtons, which we brought in with our own. ;) DH will deliver tomorrow.) Supper eaten, dgs visited. And nooo... he wouldn't clap for us! :evil: Oh well... I know I am much too impatient for all the milestones...

I'm going to do some bedtime exercise -- floor exercise, maybe -- since I didn't walk yesterday or today. Maybe walk away the pounds. I've done a lot better w/following my routines today. Since we did our grocery shopping tonight, it won't take much out of my Monday routine to spend the day with dmom... but I do dread the drive and the tiresomeness of it all. ALSO am very anxious to see what he says about her foot!!! After all this time * 6 full weeks * -- I do NOT think it should still be so red and swollen. I mean, 30 minutes w/out ice, and you cannot tell she ever used the ice. That is all the doctor has recommended she do so far... so... ??? :evil:

I did brown ink "Happy Autumn" in calligraphy with a colored regular ball point pen on letters and it was fun.
Haven't done that in a long time. I have a calligraphy kit around here in an art craft dresser.
I have 2 craft dressers; 1 small, 1 large to medium. I feel a "hunt" in my future coming on! :lol:
