Had a rotten night's sleep last night. :( Am laying low today, but will do some yoga stretches and walking.

Started grson's red, black and white afghan today.

It's super foggy outdoors, to give way for uplifting sunshine! Yeah! :!: :P

It's nice there is no mail running today, to get a day off.

Grandson-10 had a b-day yesterday and bought a Nintendo DS with the $$ we gave him. ;) He's so happy about it. Golly, kids grow up fast!

Have a super great focus and reality Monday today, Everybody! :D

I really don't want to work on this tax return today. I lollygagged this morning until too late to shower before dMacs' appointment. Once I was back home with him, I realized I should check with the IT guy so he can reset my network password, and he's "covered up with work" and asked me to leave a message. So I'm waiting on him to call me back.

I went out to check the mail and found one piece of mail in there, apparently left behind on Saturday.

Good morning everyone! I made some weekend progress. I took everything out of my car and put it in a box. It is not totally cleaned, but it is less cluttered. Tonight, I will go through the box and put things where they should be. I did do the Kelly mission of toothbrushing the kitchen faucets. I was thinking it would take a long time, 5 minutes max. Most of the kitchen table and chair hotspots are gone. I did not mop the kitchen, but that is ok, because mopping comes up every week in the weekly home blessing. I do need to make my FlyLady list for this week. I normally do on Sunday night, but DD11 wanted to spend the night because she had spent the weekend with the X in Durango. It is possible that she really wanted to see the new (and still nameless) kitten, but that is ok.

Speaking of the kitten, he was tested and does not have FIV or feline leukemia. He did have about 50 fleas that I tweezed out of his ears. I also put flea meds on him and he is much happier. When DD got to my house, we let him out. He likes DD and lets her hold him belly up. He won't let me hold him that way. I had to get DD to school today and my usual morning routine got changed. We got there in plenty of time, but I forgot my lunch.

Tonight is errand night and I need kitty litter (always!), swamp cooler stuff from the hardware store, and groceries. There is also much that I need to do at home, from my pending list and my FlyLady list. I don't much like doing my own maidwork, but that's too bad.

Took dh to cardiac rehab this morning. Came right home as he has a lot to do at the campground. Involves a lot of moving of RVs and decks right now. Of course he's working too much. Been of liquid reduction regimen again. Lost 5# yesterday.

Have a lol in for dd right now. Have to go back up in about 20 minutes. Laundry room closes tomorrow night. Then it's the Laundromat in town.

I started not to feel well last night -achy & very tired. Got up in the night & took ty lenol. Felt some better this morning but do need a nap. I always have that type of reaction about 5-7 days after my flu shot.

Today's reality is that after trying on just the black bottoms (pants and skirts) is now there is a large pile of donations in the hall. Stuff that I always hung back up is going.

Mike is blasting albums today and we are both working.

We are listening to a Beatles album right now.

Good afternoon! I'm trying to curb my computer time. I'm discovering I'm still not getting to everything I'd like to do. So, maybe reality is not so much my wasting time on the computer as it is just having a lot of things to do - or goals that are too ambitious. . .Or maybe a combo of all 3.

I have done:
x a.m. routine, including loading dw, running it, emptying it and reloading it with a few odds and ends
x menu plan and groc. list for the week; found a new recipe to try for THurs. dinner
x prepped 3 things for the mail
x made several phone calls, trying to sort out the issue of the student with the visa that restricts work. Unfortunately, my phone could not maintain a good connection with hers. I tried multiple times at 2 different times today and finally sent her an email - after I talked w/ dfriend (church director of children's programs - also involved with moms group), looked at the big U's international student office website, and then called their office. -- This all took an astounding amount of time.
x couple emails re: meeting with potential new coordinator on Wed; also, a friend would like to get together with me tomorrow.
x lunch

This doesn't look like much of a list - but it took a lot of time!!

I'm heading out now to: drop letters in the mail, buy gp hay, get TJ bagels (dd15 likes them better), and go to the groc. store.

Girls will be home in about 30 minutes.

After my errands, I'd like to go for a jog - or at least a long walk. It is beautiful today!! We have been SO spoiled these last weeks with the weather. It is a tad cooler, but it was up to 77 over the weekend, so cooler is better.

Helia - ever thought you might be cramming 42 hours into a 24 hour time frame. Dear one - time is too short for you to wear yourself to a frazzle like this. PLEASE cut some of the volunteer stuff out. Enjoy life more.

Went for groceries and they were giving away free flu shots - so we got one. They also gave DH a pneumonia shot - I've had one. So that was getting two things done at once. Hmmm - We didn't get receipts. I'll write it on my calendar.

Now time for a nap. And then happy hour at 4. Lots of friends have come in from the Balloon Festival in ABQ.

Hey, thanks MT for your caring words. I hear you. Once I get the new coordinator ready, I can step out of that role. I have been put on temporary leave from teaching at the moms group in the meantime. I typically do the bulk of my teaching in the fall, but I'm not doing any this year. Yeah, I probably have issues. :) Ha!! Who doesn't? I tend to see myself as lazy and capable of so much more. I could trace where that came from by going back to my childhood and someone's words that have been stuck in my head even since, but that doesn't matter anymore. . . . I DO waste some time; I love sudokus and logic puzzles -- but I think I also am unrealistic in what I can get done in a day.

I'm going to go for a quick jog. I've emailed with dh about some of my frustrations today (dd18 also had an attitude this morning). He pointed out that jogging will be helpful to me in a variety of ways. He is right. I could use a good endorphin rush. . . I may not jog more than 20 minutes, depending on how I feel.

I am going to have fun tomorrow! Dfriend and I are going to go for a walk in a nearby park and bring sack lunches. I haven't gotten together with this friend for years. This is the friend who organized those online seminary classes w/ videos of the professors' lectures. I did that with her and some other women a couple years ago.

OK - I'm off. It is getting late.

I took a morning nap, stripped the bed and got sheets going on bleach, and did stretches, yoga, and walked 45 min. to the Bee Gees. I took another nap after my shower after exercise. I've been working on my calendar, writing a letter, and need to read though some FM booklets. I plan on mailing 2 to a FL friend with a letter tomorrow.

DH mowed after he cut back berry vines and he blew Maple leaves off the driveway, too. Now we can see the driveway again- for a short while.

Have a nice later afternoon and evening, Everyone! :D

My wall office calendar says today is also Thanksgiving Day in Canada. :) Happy Thanksgiving Day, Kathryn. I don't know if you celebrate it like we do here, in November, but have a good day anyway. :D
