So interesting to hear the discussion, since I've been staring at some dress patterns for dd, Twins' Mom and Elizabeth. Trying to find some marked "easy" that would make confident first experiences with darts, princess seams, set-in sleeves. I realize that by dd's age I was already making a lot of different kinds of clothes. I was a member of a mailorder fabric club - anyone remember those? When that mailing came each month, my world stopped moving and I immersed myself in the wonderfully textural swatches and ideas.

I so agree with Twins' Mom that working with a complicated-looking near-see-through pattern and making sense of it is a great exercise in 3-dimensional thinking, understanding of reverse shapes, etc. I remember taking the plunge of believing that a facing was going to fit a neckline, being delighted that it did, and then staring at the pattern pieces again to figure out how! :D Right now, dd could slide effortlessly into pattern manufacturers' sizing without much fitting. I know from experience that now's the time, then, to learn while having positive results!

Still some of a.m. routine to go...still working. Of course, kitchen table is still piled up with "project" stuff.

Dee, At first, I thought you meant "wobbling" Wednesday, meaning not quite steady on our feet yet. Then, it hit me as I read further, "Warbling" is singing!

I'm warbling today because I got my policy # and old insurance co. official name, for when I fill out new papers for new insurance. I told the lady I'm sorry to leave, how good they've been to me since 1970 and we all must move on, wishing her to have a very nice day. Why get all upset about it. I got booted off the plan because I'm a non-Medicare spouse of a Medicare retiree. There is nothing I can do about it, things in life change, and maybe moving on into the new unknown in the New Year will be a good thing for me. It's only for 3 years, too, until I become of Medicare age, so those 3 years will be gone before we know it.

I'm dressed, had breakfast, medications, supplements, and did stretching exercises. I read the obits and am going to write a pal a letter while I putter around the house today. I have plenty to do, to read, to write, to wash, to tidy, to put out fires, and yadda-yadda of the homemaker's warbling. :P

Have a wonderful Warbling Wednesday, Everybody and Dee, it was a cute start-up this morning. May we always start out days with songs in our hearts. ♥

Yep, Ivy -I've song in my heart and it's singing merrily! :)

Back from rehab with dh. Had to go pick up my computer from the G eek S quad. AND completely forgot to ask him about this site. How dumb was that?!! I've been procrastinating hooking it up because all the programs came off and I noticed when he started it there were very few apps on there. I have a CD that I ordered when dd and I installed M icrosoft O ffice. So I have to reinstall all that.

Oh, oh -my phone just let me know there's a text. Always scares me because of dd's situation right now. Guess I'd better look. Have a great afternoon.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

I'm still not s2s. I have had breakfast, talked with my senior friend, dealt with a few emails, sorted through one of my greeting card drawers (yes, I have more than one hangs head in shame) and decluttered. My senior friend is excellent at sending cards so she's going to take my excess ones.

Now I will s2s.

See you all in 45 minutes! Or less. Looking at the clock, I'll shoot for 39 minutes and be back at TOTH!

Kathryn, I just s2s-ed myself.

I'm having a large salad for lunch - added 1/2 an avocado, some tomato, goat cheese and it's so good. I would have added a boiled egg but I have to boil up some. WW weigh in day. ;)

I'm giving myself 45 minutes of down time, then will start poking around in the garage.

Dee, I'm glad you have a song in your heart, too. May all of us feel a song in our hearts at least once a day, if not more. :D

I re-made the bed nicer, started dark laundry, and started a letter. I worked on my calendar, too. I have a bookmark to mail my pen pal because she's an avid reader, too. :)

Today is dense fog, in the low 40's, with 100% humidity. Sunshine's "supposed" to come later. :?: I'll believe it when I see it. DH is getting firewood with his dfriend-neighbor. Later, DH will be going to get his hearing tested for his check-up and they replace the inner part of the hearing aid. It's a digital thing they tune-up, too. He'll stop at the little store on the way home for bananas. :) :)

DD mailed me 4 books, which I got yesterday. I'm getting behind on my reading. :!: I love to read though and learn new things and be entertained.

Oh, Dee! DH's cousin just got her laptop back and SHE has to reinstall Microsoft Office, TOO! Must be something in the air!

Nancy, I'm so glad you got the painting done! :!: It's nice you've cleaned up all of it, too. It's nice you have egg customers, too.

I must go take this bra off. It's cutting into the shoulders. OUCH! :!:

I'm back!

Tidied the bathroom.
Made the bed and tidied the bedroom.
Refilled the ibuprofen container.
Have got a load of laundry ready to start in the washer when the electricity rates drop.
S2s, including drying and styling my hair.

Now to tidy up the kitchen. Dh made me french toast and bacon for lunch so it is a bit of a mess.

Also have to find some magic green pills (stress vitamins) and replace the empty bottle in the bedroom. Dh and I have been using those up quickly this fall. Must add that to my shopping list along with ibuprofen.

look at all of you warbling and working!!! I ran two errands that turned into 3
rinsed the kitchen floor and washed the vents in the kitchen... so gross old cat used a vent as a kitty box (healthy but I think he is getting dementia) so I had to wash the inside of the vent with no stuff. cat litters changed again,
wishing you lots of house blessings as the day goes on!

now to rinse the dining room again, flip flop the laundry,
it is always a joy to be here with you!
