I keep hoping it is not too late for me to get a grip on the household routines around here, to learn how to work around dh's presence and HIS routines, to learn to eat better and establish good exercise routines... yeah... I have lots of high hopes.
I want to look into those Tiny Habits, OKay. Is this right -- tinyhabits.com ?
What does CFO (cards) stand for?

Cannot believe there is already snow somewhere. And I'm already grumbling b/c it's below 50 degrees when we go out late at night! Brrrr, Booksaver!

WTG, Cowinkie... Twins... Nancy... looks like y'all are off to a big start this morning!

(((Nancy)))

(((Lilac))) Such sad news for the homeowner and her family...

Sooo know what you mean about it being "too late" when people have died, Kathryn. I guess that IS a lesson to us to make the most of every moment in the present, b/c we just never know when it will be our last.
I am just so happy for your ds! This is just an amazing experience for him.
Glad dd is coming in to visit! Snake named Fluffy always makes me smile!

My PODA:
[ ] walk
[ ] reconcile bank statement
[ ] s2s
[ ] drug store
(which MAY or may NOT involve stop @ doctor's office -- dh got letter from insurance asking for doctor's authorization to continue brand name med, rather than generic. DH still has refills, so hoping we can put this off until his check-up in December.)
[ ] ds's birthday party @ dmil's
[ ] SOMETHING on daily routine list?
Tomorrow is another day.

Going through sewing supplies today. For someone who doesn't sew I have more than my fair share. That's because I inherited my aunt's, my mom's and my dad's sewing supplies. Plus had a bit of my own. Tossed out odds and sods (like a bit of flesh coloured felt to make cow's ears one Halloween) and will show dd what it left and let her decide what, if any, she'll be taking.

Had lunch.

Need to go back to work now.

Good morning all! I did too much Monday Movement and my foot hurts again. But I got a lot done: bought stuff for my costume, bought food for the party, finished painting the ceiling in the sewing room, planned the cleanup for the party, and cooked chicken for my lunch today. I also tried the new method to try to get to this site from home, no luck there.

Today, I have consolidated some lists into a notebook, there is a pending and an immediate list. Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD11, so Chinese dinner, and maybe Chuck E Cheese. My immediate list for after DD leaves consists of: check ham supply (for party), update Quicken, get pictures of foster cats, trash and recycles to curb. If we stay home tonight, I may get DD to take foster pictures. How's that for combining!

The party cleanup for tonight consists of kitchen stuff: clean stove, clear off and wipe down counters, clear off table (my worst hotspot), and mop. If there is time left over, I can start on Wednesday's cleanup which involves the sewing room and guest bathroom.

RE: Tiny Habits - If you want to give them a try (free) - they are signing up now for next week session.

CFO = Chief Financial Officer. :)

All meat has been cooked, bagged in meal portions (using scale to weigh each) and into the freezer. That effort too a little over 3 hours and boosted our "ready to eat" meal selection up by 16. But maybe the best part is how good it turned out.....ohhhh My! Not sure if it is due to the extra time marinating or what, but It taste wonderful!

I pulled out my 3x5" card box. I felt the need to use "touch & feel" cards. I'm still using digital cards so it is a duplicate effort on some of the cards. I suspect I won't stay with duplicate system very long, but am enjoying it for now.

Well, for pete's sake. I just brought in the mail. I'll be SO glad when this season of college apps is over. Our mail will be reduced by 1/2 - 2/3, depending on the day. There were 8 today, 4 being those large book/magazine things.

Sorry, I'm a little cranky today. No reason, no excuse. I am very blessed! :)

I like the theme for today. Very encouraging to me.

Done:
x a.m. routine
x menu plan and groc. list
x Trader Joes, library, groc. store
x laundry: folded 2 lols, lol #3 in the dryer, #4 in the machine.
x emails: got schedule consensus from the 3 moms group leaders and emailed the church accountant about possibly meeting this Thursday

No consensus on proposed dates for steering committee members so far. I have only heard from 4, though.

I should go for a run, but I just finished lunch. I ate it in 2 separate sittings. And it is cold out, 40s, and I'm feeling wimpy. That actually isn't too cold. I've run in colder temps.

Dgirls will be home any minute. I'm leaving in 1:25 to take dd15 to her oboe lesson. In the meantime, I hope to keep laundry going and maybe make progress on updating the child care coordinator's notebook. --Oh, I need to make some DPCs too. . .

Well, I can finally see the floor in my office. My desk is cleared, files have been made, and everything is in its proper place. Had to resist the stash and dash moments...walked away from the office for a few moments....and am very happy with the outcome.

Reorganizing my office did take longer than what I estimated, but that's ok. I tossed, shredded and tossed some more. I probably have more pencils and pens than most...but that is the teacher in me and as long as I am subbing will continue to store them in a school supply drawer that I have set up. Once I start to seriously downsize it will be easy to pitch stuff that I have in my closet.

Now I'm going to make myself some lunch...BLT sandwich using the lettuce for bread. Then I will do my vacuuming and start on the garage. Have to push some of what I wanted to do today on to tomorrow's agenda, but thats ok too.

Sweetie walked in earlier while I was working and said... you sure are busy, busy busy today. Tomorrow I will be doing the errand running around thing. Already charting the most effective way to drive where I need to go. I do have one errand I need to do today, but it can wait till later.

Onward...my tummy's growling. Elizabeth...I want some of whatever you are taking. Do you ever sleep :D

Sweetie just walked into my office where I am now exclaiming in a very loud voice...OH IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER IN HERE....I CAN GET TO YOU BY WALKING IN A STRAIGHT LINE.

That aught to tell y'all something

Home from a quick look at what might happen in the backyard. Dh plays with ideas like this then sometimes backs away from the price tag! This was an oval patio in the yard with 18 inch high benches on two sides, with one side the entrance from the house and the other side the view. Perennials or possibly some herbs and tomato plants on three sides. Lunch w dh at WF - silly me thought he wanted to go to a restaurant for lunch! Picked up dd's computer and walked through W orld M arket and H ome G oods.

Need to call UPS store and find out their schedule - I suspect I've missed the deadline for getting it packed and shipped today. I am also going to install Carbonite and antivirus software - the issue wasn't hard drive failure, it was corrupted with viruses.

Well rats. DD has her computer password protected and didn't tell me. Clue is "brother's name" and I've tried every combination I can think of.
