Detailed the front bathroom, getting sidetracked a little on some perfectionism.

I visited my colorist this a.m.

Had lunch with HRH and last week's episode of BBTheory.

Dd33 says they will try to get on the road by 4:00.

Time to pick up dd15, and hope she and I can get any grocery shopping done.

morning y'all...

Well I finished up my Lemon Bar Cheese Cake this morning...Started on it Wed night. Looks beautiful, but have no idea how it tastes..Sweetie will be my tester before I leave for my gathering tonight. He likes when that happens.

Yesterday I had a subbing assignment at my school. The kids were good and I had a great time. My house has been blessed for the week and I am giving myself today off. Do need to run an errand or two but that wont take long.

Its a sun shinny day, but a bit warm...90+ however the cool temps are suppose to show up later next week. I'm really looking forward to that. I have a few fun things planned for today...including some just for fun reading. I woke with a headache, but was able to "kill" it before it really got to me...Keeping my fingers crossed on that...

I'll be back later. Y'all enjoy your day. Tomorrow I'll be wearing Orange...no Lucylee, no blue, but hoping for a miracle . Wouldn't you just love to see that happen....Me TOO ;)

BOTH at 11:30 a.m. I crocheted and am about to start row 24.

TOTH I wrote a bit, by hand, over a page, on my story. I keep making mistakes. DH has a documentary on that's SO interesting, so can't concentrate on the writing. :o

Decided to work on the afghan and focus on that for awhile. I'll go back to the story later afternoon. Deadline's Nov. 15, so have some time, but wanted to do 2 stories. I'm so s-l-o-w this week, but was ill for 2 days, had terrible sleep 1 night and early a.m. rescue inhaler problem, too. I guess it made my week a bit screwy this week.

Off to sort laundry to "see" if I need to start any. I don't think I need to though. :)

HAPPY FINISHING FRIDAY, Everybody! :D

Quiet day here. I met with rabbi at 8:30 for about an hour, then caught up with temple secretary a bit. Back home and finally got ddogs walked. Dcleaning lady called and cancelled today as her mother is gravely ill. (Has been ill for quite some time, but home with hospice support now.)

I had "body work" and lying on a heated pad for that has left me in a stupor this afternoon.

Just finished phone call with social worker at dsis' hospital and I need to draft a letter to send to her and hospital admin following up on discussion. Issues with dsis clothing disappearing - it was a long trip on Wed because I had to go to the closest Walmart (30 miles away) and buy clothes for her, and upon inspection, most items in her closet are not things that I previously bought for her. Other worrisome issues: she is smoking again (supervised, six smoke breaks daily) and social worker commented that she is out of breath and stumbling after smoking, and also her anxiety is up so needs to be evaluated by their psychiatrist. And her toenails need trimming (apparently she doesn't tell them that, but complained to me that her shoes hurt) and she needs a follow up eye appt for glasses. And lots of anxiety about getting her cigarettes - she asked dbro to "smuggle" some in for her if he came to visit. So lots OMM there.

Just talked to dh and I am going to start challah (better late than never) and we'll figure out something for dinner here.

Lots of unfinished stuff this week. I've realized that I'm not doing what I "should" with regard to temple responsibilities because I'm just feeling burned out and that I'm a "short timer" with "only" six months to go. But I hate to look back later and feel that I haven't given it my best effort. Plan is to give myself to Nov 1 to get back in the saddle...

I'll start challah now, and see what's in the freezer!

Small steaks from freezer and challah underway. Also have butternut squash I can cook and salad makings.

Flush of energy for some reason. :o

Will work to TOTH on undone dailies and a.m. routine...

Got the laundry going, DH sorted the mail, :o and I had lunch. I'm ready to go check/dry the laundry and see if I can round up enough towels to wash. If not, I'll wait until Sat. or Mon.

Oh, the washer just dinged. Better scoot.

Need to read a letter from a dfriend who is a rehab center LPN who's retiring, since working since age 16. She's turning 66, I believe, so she's going to really enjoy retirement. Is a widow, will downsize apt. to move closer to family into a studio apt. She's looking forward to taking craft classes, etc.. What a change for her LIFE! She's amazing! Wow.

I ACCIDENTALLY wrote an index "sign" for myself and posted it and it says, "FOCUS FRIDAY!"   I decided to make it "focus Friday" on my weekly email calendar, to keep myself focused on Fridays, as I prepare for the weekend and next week ahead. But today's focus is FINISHING! :!: :D I finally got it right- in my head. ;)

Happy Afternoon, Everybody!

Twins', it's sad about your cleaning lady's dmom, too. I said a prayer for her when I read it.

I'm living with the scripture readings from next week, hoping for inspiration. I have a few ideas written down but this will be for the church that wants 15-20 minute sermons so I need more. I'm so used to concentrating the message, I get paralyzed when I have the option to expand it.

I've stopped by and CUOP'd a few times today but never stopped long enough to post. I'm enjoying the beautiful weather and don't want to waste a moment of it.

Next up -

** Kitchen to MM (dishes are washed after supper but need to put away and wipe counters & table)
** LO outside to run some energy off
** FNG at DFriends home

I fed the cat, hung up clean laundry, decluttered a cabinet and found 2 shower caps I didn't know I had so DH had to buy me a new one. It PAYS to declutter- or it'll cost you money!

I read a letter I received today, have been watching Dr. Oz and now the news. I'm on row 27 of the afghan, need 42 to complete it, so keep baby-stepping. I wish to work on it until bedtime. I don't believe I'll be able to completely finish it tonight, but perhaps on or by Monday. :?: I have the last 42-row 1 to do when this current one's done. The first two have been tri-color ones, but #3 will be multi-color, for the 2.5-yr.-old. ;) Gamma Ivy's getting tired of only having 3 colors to work with for 2 afghans, so it'll be fun to color-my-world up with #3.

I heard a good tip yesterday, on Dr. Oz, for controlling evening snacking. You rub vanilla lotion on your hands, to smell vanilla, which is a food-scent, and you automatically eat less or not at all! :D I think it's such a clever way to attack the problem. I'm sure glad I heard it. :)

I cannot believe it's 5:04 p.m. already! It's 54.9* here, high overcast cloudy sky, and yesterday it was so foggy at 5:20 p.m., but not today. :D On Mon. we're supposed get breezy enough to flush out fog from the valley's. It'll be so wonderful to see sky and less fog. It's really gotten to me, mood-wise. I just feel so not "up" with zing to start my day. I just make it to the shower and take it from there, being busy during the day, which helps. I'd rather see a few days of rain than the fog, but it's been about 10 days of fog, vaguely from memory, except for one day, the 22nd, which I remember because it's deceased FIL's b-day. It was as though Nature was shining on us all because he was such a happy and humorous man. :D

Have a nice Finishing Friday Evening, Everyone! :D
