TA-DA
woke at 6:30 a.m., like DH did to me yesterday a.m.!
freshened up, d2s, hair fixed, etc...
dirty clothes to utility room
made the bed
fixed DH's coffee
dumped trash from household waste baskets
put out hot spots
wrote in 1 journal (need to do the other one)
took meds, when needed
watched the news in the a.m.
had coffee, read obits, played with my calendar reminders
had breakfast w/meds & supplements
turned off the security system
opened the vertical closer door blinds
fed kitty cat treats
let kitty cat in and out of garage
let DH watch an old movie after the news
hung up 2 nightgowns with loungers over them
crossed off Tues. on my calendar because I thought today was WED.!

Have other plans for the remainder of the day, too. Want to see House Speaker Thomas Foley's funeral on TV at noon. Finding what channel it will be on will be the challenge.

HAPPY TA-DA DAY TO YOU ALL! MAY WE ALL BE PRODUCTIVE! :D

Cathy, that sounds ideal. Great to be able to open a lot of windows as you clean.

Dee, I'm so glad you are learning pieces of good news as you go along. So glad the missing blood work situation could be corrected quickly. You really shouldn't be billed for blood work that could never be accessed when needed, you know.

Well, our outing was cancelled by a series of two very unfortunate wrecks, the first of which shut down traffic around our destination's entire area, the second shutting down traffic along our route closer to home. We got a phone call from my cousin who had been turned away from the route himself, wondering if we knew anything (ds being a fireman). So we knew to stay home and we read up on the situation on the regional paper's website. Very sad - both a fatality and an air lift situation.

I did try calling ds, and he answered me but immediately had to say he'd call me later. I heard so many buzzers/alarms and loud voices, that I was sorry I bothered him. Even if he is not helping in the aftermath of either of those calls, he still has his hands full.

Dee, I think your idea would be a great use of manpower, yes. Firemen helping to handle water - actually, they all ought to understand the workings of the on/off, too, which might be helpful someday.

Hello!

Dee I'm glad your computer went well today. I hope your DH's tests come out good, or that a fix for ongoing problems is quick and easy. You are missing some really beautiful weather here. It is just perfect recently.

Mine is slow, our Internet provider is updating our virus protection and we've tried several times to put it in, and yesterday DH finally got it done. I see he had to call the company. But it is still working on my side of the computer and everything is slow.

So far I've worked on bills and updated files on our rental. Our leak over there caused almost $100 of extra water usage. Tenant didn't call us until the 3rd date after the leak began. It was on the hot water line and he has elevated electric as well. He knows now! We're covering 2/3 of the leak ourselves. Sigh...expensive month over there. House insurance was due too.

I need to call my family who is getting my meal today.

OKay reminded me with her shelf decluttering that I did the same in my closet and dresser on Saturday. It was getting crowded in there so I took the tablecloths I hang there and put into a guest room closet and reorganized everything. I got rid of a couple things from the dresser. Once those tops are used up they aren't decent enough to donate anywhere.

I am glad that I did get as much done as I did yesterday.

Dgd is here not feeling very well and I am feeling a bit under the weather myself.

Pumpkin shaped cookies are baking one pan got left in a bit long.

Trash cans are back in from the curb now. I fed scraps to the hene, journaling & qt are done.

I had a strange dream yesterday when I woke up with a low.

PJ day here today.

I may have a few ta-da's later... ds is coming over to walk with me and I have a couple errands to run, I guess.

Boy... talk about strange dreams. Well, no one WAS talking about strange dreams, but I was just thinking about that. Had chilli for supper. Maybe that caused it? Really weird, impossible dreams last night. Not scary-disturbing, just weird-disturbing. I guess sometimes dreams just mean your mind is busy?

Need to get my body busy and get ready to go out.

Will cuop properly later.
Tomorrow is another day.

Ta das!
-mammogram this morning
-post office, where passport renewal is on its way
-stopped at a nursery for pansies
-bank, to put $$ into my account
-drove by temple to find that the city is working on the wall next door to us but not our wall. Phoned up the chain of command to next level to hear that the plan is apparently to repair the next door wall first to be sure repairs can be made reusing the same quarried stone. Need to continue up the chain to find if this is the case.

MT, I use an app called Remember the Milk for to do and routines lists. Can use desktop version or iPad or iPhone.

Remember the Milk is one of 3 online helps ("Remember the Milk", "The Journal" and "My Corkboard") suggested in 2008 in our first PDA and Computer forum post here, "About PDA and Computer". This was copied here on that date from the previous site by Kathryn, so I don't know who the initial poster was. However, I have a drawer in my brain with a quickly-fading note ;) that Emptynester was the first person to mention one of those 3. Don't know if she was first to mention My Corkboard or Remember the Milk. And who first mentioned the other? The quickly fading slip of paper in that drawer may say Twins' Mom - can't quite read it. At any rate, if "Out of Milk" turns out to be helpful, let's add it to those. And, if Twins' Mom is still happy with Remember the Milk and she WAS the one to first mention it so long ago, that's a huge recommendation and it needs a star. :D I tried My Corkboard and couldn't keep it up - ya'll know how scared I am of putting holes in walls. But I think there was a parrot - loved the parrot.

So, lucylee says no one was speaking about dreams and Nancy helps her out by going back into her post to be sure to tell about her dream. Either that happened, or I'm losing another one of those brain drawers. Actually, I think that's sweet - lucylee, you have a precedent now. So, speaking about dreams, I am sorry to hear they can happen with a blood sugar low, Nancy, but not really surprised. Can definitely happen to me with discomfort of other kinds.

TADA -
** Lunch cooked/served/cleaned up. Asian stir fry w/rice. Grapes & mandarin oranges for dessert

I have some learning to do. I normally cook rice on stovetop, but decided to try the microwave to prepare DH one serving of minute rice. The box said put 1/2 cup rice & 1/2 cup of water in a bowl and cook in microwave for 6 minutes. How can this become such a big mess? I started with a 2 cup bowl but it quickly overflowed. I then trieda 4 cup bowl.....but it overflowed too! >>>>>shaking my head<<<<< What da mess.

I've used RTM and Corkboard in the past and think they are very good......but I keep coming back to my very boring but effective spreadsheet.

Last weekend I revived my old twitter account and started using it again. If anyone Tweets - let me know and we can be friends. :)
